  1. Somewhat related. Charlie Angus being interviewed now on CNN. Was asked if he considers Zehaf-Bibeau a terrorist. Angus equivocates, never answering the question. The CNN is persistent, asking not just a second time but a third as well. Angus says “I consider him to be a deranged nutter.”

  2. I was just looking west from my home here in Rocky View district and thinking I haven’t had a visit to the Royal Canadian Rocky Mountains for a long time./

  3. Dolts at CNN not only kept calling the Horsemen the Royal Canadian Mountain Police, they also kept referring to the shooter as the Assalient. Oh, and all their BS about the FBI “helping” out the hapless Canadians was pathetic jingoism, even by CNN standards. No, wait, CNN has standards?
BTW, Charlie Angus is a deranged nutter. Zehaf-Bibeau is a terrorist. Note the difference.

  4. ‘Angus equivocates, never answering the question.’
When Doesn’t a progressive equivocate when asked a straight forward question about good versus evil black versus white.

  5. Even a robot given wrong information can do better than that. A Google search on mountain police returns about four times as many references to RCMountedP as mountain police. It’s telling when reporters repeat only what they think they know, rather than doing some basic checking.

  6. Ahhh, so Muslims attack parliament, and cops arrest folk for carrying a rifle, which is not against the law.
Now you can see why our rulers like importing these savages by the boatload.

  7. Aren’t all terrorists deranged nutters? For that matter, isn’t anyone who converts voluntarily to fundamentalist islam a deranged nutter, even if non-violent? Let’s face it, that so-called “religion” does not have a lot to offer to a happy, well-adjusted person.

  8. Noticed that myself. Wanted to sick the Royal Canadian Prairie Police on that woman, but they were busy helping out the Royal Canadian Tundra Police.

  9. “isn’t anyone who converts voluntarily to fundamentalist islam a deranged nutter”
Given that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was Bulgasem Zehaf’s son, and Bulgasem Zehaf, a Libyan, went to Libya from Quebec to fight along with al-Qaeda against Gadhafi, it raises the question of whether he was a recent “convert” to Islam or a long time Muslim.
I think saying he was a recent convert is propaganda, false.

  10. “BTW, Charlie Angus is a deranged nutter. Zehaf-Bibeau is a terrorist.”
Beauty! Was just thinking that as I scrolled to your comment. “Z-B WAS a terrorist” would be the extent of my criticism.

  11. Well, yes they are unless thanks to leftist stupidity we let them win. Then they write the history books, not us.

  12. We’ve had terrorist attacks 2 days in a row, yesterday a man was carrying a shotgun(which is similarly not against the law), and he used it to shoot Corporal Nathan Cirillo and then assault our Parliament. Overly cautious reaction by police, yes.
Did I mention earlier that Stephen Harper got rid of the Gun Registry?
You want the LPC or the NDP to win the next election and bring it back.
    Take a pill, YeahWell.

  13. “she has huge… tracts of land.”
Yes, and that land is probably fertile, …or maybe febrile?

  14. Maybe the female members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would prefer to be called Royal Canadian Mountain Police. Just saying (:

  15. “I think I have seen Shannon tweed in the same pose as Justine’s mum.”
You mean passed out snoring on the chesterfield, drooling on the cushions? Shannon Tweed could probably make that work. Because huge… tracts of land. ~:D

  16. Deranged nutters? If only! Jihadis, those who can think, see the West as hopelessly corrupt; and, more to the point, corrupting. They do not like our free-and-easy attitudes toward women; and as these attitudes tend to corrupt their own womenfolk, they come to hate us for them. Again, they see us as damaging or destroying family solidarity; and for people who are not wards of the government, the family is the unemployment insurance, the health insurance, and the retirement plan. No money, no family, and you die.
Again, Islam began in conquest. Muhammed was a skilled and successful commander, as was his immediate successor abu Bakr. By AD 200, Christians were still persecuted; by AH 200, Islam ruled much of the known world. That modern-day Muslims are in such an inferior position in regard to ourselves is an implicit criticism of their devotion to God.
In Islamic countries without oil, the situation of population, food supply etc. is deteriorating, for which see David Goldman. Capitalism didn’t work for them, socialism didn’t work (and remember that the first Middle Eastern terrorists were skyjackers who carried out their actions in pursuit of some sort of socialist ideology). So they have turned back to the aggression and violence of the Islamic founders. Which also isn’t going to work. Only the Egyptians have realized that, which is why they did not, on the whole, support the Muslim Brotherhood.
But certainly, sharia is the sovereign remedy for feminism. That will be enough for some.

  17. Yeah, John, their deranged nuttery has a certain internal consistency. Most deranged nuttery does, you know. What it lacks is a foundation in fact.

  18. @Walter: who asked “Preferable to being called the Mounted police?”
I gather you don’t get my wisecrack.

  19. Got it and threw it to first for an easy out.
They need to be renamed the “Former Alberta Police Service”.
