  2. What flabbergasts me is the juxtaposition of our endless blathering about “human trafficking” and our almost complete ignoring of the fact that ISIS is engaging in SLAVERY. Nearly 200 years ago, the Royal Navy took on anti-slavery operations with a burning zeal.
    Is even slavery not a worthy enough cause for the modern West to obliterate ISIS?

  3. I guess JT missed the part where we’re sending humanitarian aid to the region.
    Lefties have a blind spot when it comes to military action of any kind. Tell them that 2/3 of our casualties in Afghanistan were from humanitarian/infrastructure rebuilding, then watch their heads explode. They simply can’t get past the idea that we have to protect humanitarian teams or that, even once in a while, military action is warranted.
    I guess JT feels isolated and humiliated; sure hope that doesn’t result in violence.

The solution is not getting entangled in another lost cause ground war our politicians will not allow us to win, wasting the lives of good Canadians for no real security from what they fight against because while they are fighting IL/IS on their own ground , politicians are importing it into the country with immigration. It’s about sealing our boarders to these IL/IS nations and rounding up their nationals and sympathizers domestically and sending them back there. – and, of course cutting business ties with these craphole nations.
    About as far as I would go with military action is to carpet bomb the region regularly for a few decades – that is about all the effort psychopathic Islamism is worth – had we done this to Hitler/fascist nations when he first started opening his yap about world domination . . .

  36. Just in comments are an echo of the same disdain his father had for our military. Only good enough for photo ops and un peace keeping missions or to impose martial law, but treated with contempt the rest of the time. He percieved the military as a bunch of uncontrollable yahoos.
    Who knows? Perhaps papa pierre got his attitude years ago after having one of the targets of his affection dumping him for a private in the Van Doos.
    But I digrees.
    Justin is revealing the same attitude to our military that his dad had…if you served, are serving, or know someone is/has, make sure they see that video clip.
