  1. Based on performance over the past couple of years, the NDP deserve to be the official opposition and not the Libs. They’re disciplined, they stick to their issues, party unity is pretty high except on a couple of highly divisive ones. And this latest shows that they are capable of keeping a government on its toes. Part of the reason for the decline of the PCs in Alberta has been the utter futility of opposition until the recent emergence of Wild Rose.
This is good. Stephen has been and will be a better PM because Grumpy Tom does the hard work and represents a real difference of view. The Libs by contrast and Shiny Pony in particular are sheer dead weight in the House. The One with Perfect Hair is such a witless little dictator that he simply brings out the worst in everyone including his own party.

  2. Hmmmmm, lotta old men in this country. More emerging every day.
Before he slags us any more, the shiny pony might want to keep in mind that we are more likely to cast a ballot in 2015 than the young yoga ladies he’s performing photo ops with.

  3. And CBC claims to be the balanced voice of Canadians. Shut it down and sell the foucking corpse of to any one willing to pay a dollar or two.

  4. “Saganash says an inquiry is needed to get to root causes.”
That’s Justin’s forte,Romeo, getting to the root cause. If you’d just be patient, PM Trudeau will hold an inquiry into the plight of Aboriginal women, that will have every retired Liberal hack in the Country taking part, chaired by none other than former PM Paul Martin!
It’ll carry on for years, and finally, in 2019,will table 37 suggestions which will be ignored by all parties concerned.
One cynic I know told me the reason there is so much violence ag’in Indian women is because when their (Indian) men get drunk, they tend to attack their womenfolk.
    Damned racist.

  5. Catching the Tories napping in (or actually just outside) the House has been done before. That’s how Joe Clark’s government fell on a snap moneybill/no confidence vote. They lost the subsequent election, from which Trudeau returned for a last hurrah == after he had previously announced his retirement!
Somebody send the Tory caucus a carton of No=Doze.

  6. Kudos to the NDP, now they get their debate.
I wonder if a single one of these “Oh so concerned for the welfare of Native women” politicians will even mention the problem?
As in the courts are stacked against female victims who are attacked by native men.
The court will release a “designated savage” on claims he suffered as an adolescent , with little more than a wet kiss.
The Progressive politicians are just fine with this.
Yet on whom do these serial abusers wreak their revenge?
It is no mystery who is killing native women in Canada.
The Supreme Court and the supporters of Apartheid AKA The Indian Act.
The twisted fools doing the actual murders are just puppets compared to these over helpful butchers.
As an aside, where is Bob Rae and Mr Dithers?
Oh right helping the Natives… Out of their birthright.
Funny how all the Dippers went Ape when Harper tried creating legislation to allow Native Women to have human rights.
small wonder they love the Moslem approach.

  7. The war on women is moving north. Trudeau beating the abortion drum. NDP forcing debate on missing native women. We will be hearing a lot of stuff like this for the next hear. It worked for Obama and I fear it will work for Trudeau too.

  8. I made the mistake of reading some of the comments to the CBC article that Lance linked to, and had to go barf. Good grief, are there no articulate conservatives that push back on that stinking site?

  9. Why do the Liberals constantly tell me what I can and can’t do with my body? For Pete sake I want my sugar and salt!

  10. well now, I don’t care if wimin have the rite to dicktate what they do with their bodies, but if I got to pay, I should git to play:-)))

  11. Irony is that justin says that males don’t get to decide on womens rights.
So with this decision can we presume he is actually a she?

  12. Totally Concur.
    Alimony, child support.
If it is a woman’s right to chose, do they also accept full fiscal responsibility for their choices??

  13. Yes – the NDP are similar to the Conservatives in another way – they don’t lie very much.
They actually tell us about their batty ideas, and their intellectual vacuity.
After all, what can be done with native women? Chain them to poles
on the reservations? Lock up their menfolk?
Or give the chiefs lots and lots and lots and lots more money?
Well, this one is for the Conservatives to lose.

  14. Re: Trudeau
And in 2 weeks, he’ll be campaigning in rural Quebec on his ”French-Catholic morals” background.

  15. Plowing? – Is the young woman standing in a safe place? I really don’t think Occupational Health and Safety would approve.

  16. “•Future Prime Minister of Canada learning to plow” ??
The comments on that site wern’t buying that. You can lead a farmer to the cool-aid but you can’t make him drink.

  17. Ken
Articulate conservatives are a banned species at cbc.ca comment boards.
Its an echo chamber for the rabble crowd!

  18. The young woman is probably showing the Anointed One how to drive a tractor; or how not to
crush himself if the tractor falls over. Or perhaps she is his wardrobe mistress, to keep his
nice white dress shirt nice and white.
The scene reminds me of his visit to Calgary last year after the flood, to “help out.” In his
nice white shirt (I suppose he must have two of them) he shovelled a couple of shovels of
sand into a sandbag or whatever, and had his photo op. Had he wanted he might have
contributed something, as every decent able-bodied person was helping
with the cleanup (the RCMP of course were engaged in break-and-enters at High River at the time).

  19. Winnipegers will never forget the time that someone threw a sandbag at Chetien during the ’97 flood. Hundreds of people trying to save the properties of others while that old windbag was getting in the way for his photo op.

  20. Well, last I checked Henry Morgentaler was a man. And pretty long in tooth too now that you mention it.
