Pencil, paper, slot. Open box, dump out, count in front of scrutineers. Returning officer phones results to neutral authority, scrutineers phone results to candidate headquarters. Foolproof. If you run secret ballot elections any other way you are an idiot.
Not Waiting for The Asteroid. Oh, wait:

Vote early, vote often.
Vote early and often for the the clown who can’t figure out his phone and has hair almost as good as Turdough
She voted twice? Why is an NDP/democrat voting in a PC leadership contest?
Paul Murphy writes: “Why is an NDP/democrat voting in a PC leadership contest?”
Because it worked so well the last time!
Time to null and void the voting so far and inaugurate a fail-safe process open only to real members who are physically present.
Like, hello folks, he’s only been voted in for about two hours. Could we give him a chance?? And one way or another–we do need opposition!
Has it been 2 hours already? Shortest honeymoon in PC Alberta history.
Okay folks lets play a guessing game.
What MLA will tender his resignation and for what patronage post or perk?
P.S.
My guess is for Linda Johnson in Calgary-Glenmore for an executive position in Alberta Human Services.
Isn’t Redfraud still holding a seat?
Kill two stoned birds at once
Anyone remember the NDP leadership convention ?
That was a total cock-up. The Dips and most of the media were hinting that the evil Conservatives were messing with the system.
The company that set up the on-line voting was SCYLA. I could be wrong on that, but it is close.
They were hit with a DDS (?),that did not allow the computer folks to vote. This favoured the candidate with the most support at the convention, which was Tommy.
I e-mailed both SCYLA and the NDP and asked what was up? Did those dastardly Cons really skew the vote?
The NDP ignored me.
However Scyla did reply. There was an attack, but they were not responsible to find out who attacked.
The NDP also acknowledged later in the media, or on their site, that they were aware of the attack, but because of cost reasons they were not pursuing the attackers.
The attack favoured Tommy.
Tommy won.
The NDP leadership did not want to pay for an investigation.
I was shocked, shocked I tell you,shocked.
An afterthought.
If you vote Prentice or Lucasuck, you should also don an Alison wig and run in the streets shouting ‘four more years’. Same BS, different cow.
I see that just over 23,000 folks voted to choose the new premier. Of those, Mr. Prentice garnered about 18,000. The population of Alberta is slightly more than 4,000,000. If only half of those are eligible voters, approximately 9/10 of 1% of the voters have selected the new premier. It appears there is a large lack of enthusiasm by the electorate for the tired and moribund PC Party.
Yes, the Red Tory party has jumped the shark. This will look good on Prentice, who has also promoted carbon taxes.
Countdown to their final election…..
Conclusion. Following the next election, Jim Prentice will be premier of Alberta At 77% of the vote, he does have reason to snap his suspenders.
Prentice has something Red Ed and Alison the Red never had (besides intelligence). He has access to oil money. That’s the same oil money that put Danielle Smith almost on top. I wasn’t impressed with him as environment minister, seemed like a commie sympathizer. He is from Progressive Conservative roots not Reform/Alliance.
Very true Scar, Prentice is not Reform and not conservative, he is PC through and through. And the PC Party of Alberta is the same PC Party today that it was under Redfraud. Nothing ever changes, everything remains the same.
This is not my father’s PC Party, and I will never vote for it again.
Interesting side note: it was revealed that Alison Redford did not vote in the leadership race. Why? Because she let her membership expire last January and did not renew it.
That’s right, for three months, Jan – March, the leader of the PC party was not actually a member of the party.
Big Jim is the leader of the PC party, period. He has to get elected to be Premier. The Wild Rose has already stated they are not going to give him a pass in the by-election so we might have a bun fight on our hands. No, he’s not there yet.
