Tonight we have a very well-done 42-minute documentary about IS, or as it’s more commonly known, ISIS. It’s the sort of coverage you’ll never see on CBC or CTV because it’s too informative, and because the IS jihadists speak for themselves with nary a GTA talking-head filter/censor in sight. Without further ado, here’s VICE News’ The Islamic State. Well worth watching, IMO.
For our progressive visitors who don’t want to “go there”, here’s Up With People!

Yeah, sure, that ISIS is probably not too good, but what about that Tebow guy, kneeling and stuff. Now, that’s evil straight up.

Re: ISIS
There is a way to stop them I’m sure. But for how long??
Question. Who is financing all the ISIS equipment? That’s where you have to start!
Sorry–but I’m just a farm kid. My dad used to cut my allowance. When I had no fuel in my F-100, I stayed home.

Yeah, their equipment, but more so, their ammunition. If you read “Charlie Wilson’s War” it describes how, when the US was backing the Afghans against the Russians, they had daily flights of jumbo cargo planes flying ammunition into Pakistan, massive warehouses to store it at the airport, and a complex transportation system steadily conveying it into Afghanistan. Bullets are their major consumable and ISIS has to be going through it by the ton, tons daily, and they sure as hell aren’t manufacturing it themselves…
EBD is right about the 42 minute IS documentary video being worth watching.
We will eventually be hearing from some of these people in our western countries.

MONTREAL — Dozens of Montreal firefighters and municipal employees protesting pension reforms stormed city hall Monday night, pushing past security guards trying to hold the doors closed and marauding through the city’s ornate seat of power.
They tossed papers throughout the building and in council chambers five minutes before city council was scheduled to begin its evening session. They threw water at city councillors who refused to leave, blew horns and whistles, and hoisted a banner in council inscribed “Coderre Voleur.”
Several protesters ran upstairs, trying to find Mayor Denis Coderre as security guards shuttled him from room to room to evade their pursuers. Witnesses reported protesters banged on doors trying to get in and tried to force the heavy wooden doors open. On-duty police officers, wearing their current uniform of red baseball caps and camouflage pants to show their displeasure with the Liberal government’s pension reforms, stood by outside. City councillor Marc-André Gadoury said protesters threw water on him and that one punched him in the side. Witnesses said police officers were among the protesters.

“THE THREE CONJECTURES
A Pew poll finds 40% of Americans worry that an US city will be destroyed by a terrorist nuclear attack . James Lileks thinks the annihilation of a city is a dead certainty and will only mark the start of a long, wearying struggle against Islamists armed with nuclear car bombs.
The imminence of the threat is open to debate.”

BELOW IS A COPY OF AN EMAIL I JUST SENT TO LORRIE GOLDSTEIN AT THE TORONTO SUN with copies to various others as well.
I AM very concerned for the sake of Woodstock losing jurisdiction over a vital local utility FOREVER TO OUTSIDERS!
……………………………………………………………………………………………..ATTENTION LORRIE GOLDSTEIN, TORONTO SUN NEWSPAPER
Good Morning Lorrie Goldstein,
Here in Woodstock Ontario, our presently sitting Municipal City Council has agreed to sell the Electrical Portion OF CITY COUNCILS’ JURISDICTION to Hydro ONE for “big bucks offered” and some pie-in-the sky “offer” of moving some portion of their operation to Woodstock at some time in the future.
I personally DISAGREE with that move.
Does the TORONTO SUN NEWSPAPER have an EDitorial Opinion on such moves by Hydro One in Ontario, OR IS THE HYDRO ONE TAKEOVER OF NO INTEREST AT ALL… TO ONTARIANS??
Just asking!
Or is this not worth the ink to investigate, prior to Municipal elections this fall, BECAUSE IF THE DEAL GOES FORWARD WOODSTOCK ONTARIO WILL HAVE BEEN NEUTERED BY AN ELECTRICAL MONOPOLY ….. FOREVER …………….!! .
I AM
Joe Molnar

Nothing more scary than US border – Kinsella

Like I say, drive across the border. I did, with my kids, and it felt like I was back in Bosnia in 1996, approaching a Serbian paramilitary checkpoint.
It wasn’t just the cameras, which we counted to be about eight per car. It wasn’t just the general appearance of the border crossing, which closely resembled what the Berlin Wall might have looked like back in the day.

You’ve Got A Dystopian Society With Children In Death Matches? Let’s Make A Theme Park!
Posted on August 18, 2014 by Dan Wickline
Going to borrow from Wikipedia here:
A dystopia society set in “Panem”, a country consisting of the wealthy Capitol and twelve districts in varying states of poverty. Every year, children are chosen to participate in a compulsory annual televised death match called The Hunger Games.
This is what Lionsgate CEO, Jon Feltheimer, thinks will make a good theme park. Following the success of the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, Lionsgate is now focused on opening a theme part dedicated to The Hunger Games according to the ibtimes.
“We’re deep in conversations with prospective partners on four continents to explore theme park attractions and other location-based entertainment opportunities,” Feltheimer said during the company’s 2015 first-quarter earnings conference call.
Besides the theme park, there will be a Hunger Games traveling museum debuting next summer ahead of the release of the franchise’s final installment The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 in November 2015.
The franchise has grossed $832.6 million worldwide since its 2012. Catching Fire, released last November made $161.1 million in its debut weekend. The third installment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, premieres in theaters Nov. 21.
Expect it to go ahead, Ontario caponized itself when it voted the worst provincial mess/government to majority status. We will not be able to afford the basics for existence in this cold white north unless some higher authority steps in to manage the wreckage, who the hell that would be I can’t say. When all the teats run dry the begging and blame is all they have left. In fact it’s already started, Orville Redenbacher in drag Wynne has already blamed Harper for not giving Ontario enough pesos.
Well LIZ J, you have told the world the exact TRUTH in regard to ONTAAARRRIIIIAARRRRRIIIOO !!!!!
There is a PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR YOU LIZ J!

“Our ‘Face in the Crowd’”
“Elia Kazan’s classic A Face in the Crowd is a good primer on Barack Obama’s rise and fall. Lonesome Rhodes arises out of nowhere in the 1957 film, romancing the nation as a phony populist who serially spins yarns in the most folksy ways — confident that he should never be held to account. Kazan’s point (in the film Rhodes is a patsy for conservative business interests) is that the “folks” are fickle and prefer to be charmed rather than informed and told the truth. Rhodes’s new first name, Lonesome, resonates in the film in a way that Barack does now. Finally, an open mic captures Rhodes’s true disdain for the people he champions, and his career crashes.
So what is collapsing the presidency of the once mellifluous Obama?

The much loved CBC has just put up their 5th article on Justin’s house being illegally entered.
FIVE stories and not one has mentioned that the doors were unlocked.
FIVE stories and not one has mentioned that the Trudeaus did not have an alarm system.
JT is a dolt that is unable to recognize the danger to his family that comes with being a high-profile politician.
The CBC is his cheerleader.

Fire. Them. All.
I personally think that is was one of Sophie’s friends that thought it would be a hoot to throw a scare into her and maybe smarten the family up a bit.
A thief would have taken something and left quickly.
An opportunist prankster is possible but highly unlikely. They would have to have just stumbled upon unlocked doors in a guarded neighbourhood. That doesn’t wash either. Unless the Trudeau home was the first they tried, the others would have had their alarms set off and the Ottawa cops would have been there quicker than you could say ‘Justin is in over his head’.
Nero fiddled, Obama bogeyed.

“Any government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to shoot you dead in the street, no questions asked. The only difference between socialism and national socialism is a single word.”
The Trudeau break-in/illegal entry may have been an inside job. It is looking more and more like that.
Postpartum depression combined with an absent father/husband would be the main factors along with the loss of career and spotlight.
JT call home. Or better yet, go home.
Your wife and kids need you. The ROC does not.
Thought I read that he was enjoying the Pride parade in Wpg, then I read this tonight: Trudeau’s said his family left Ottawa to join him in Montreal, where Trudeau attended the city’s Pride parade.
How many Pride parades does one have to attend in order to be elected, I wonder. I know what I would have done to my husband if he had left me at home with the kiddies to be with his friends.
