Tonight is the second instalment in our weeklong series dedicated to performers who give the brushoff to the BDS goons.
Earlier this year anti-Semitic pinhead Roger Waters — one of his concert props was a giant inflatable pig with the Star of David on it, while the special effects on “The Wall” tour included images of Stars of David morphing into dollar signs — called for the Rolling Stones to cancel their upcoming concert in Israel, saying that “crossing the picket line” would only help the “racist” Israeli regime.
A month later, on June 4th, the Stones played to a delighted audience of 50,000 in Tel Aviv. From that concert, here’s some fan-cam-quality footage of Midnight Rambler.

    BERLIN – An angry mob gathered on Berlin’s famed Kurfürstendamm avenue Thursday. Draped in Palestinian flags and shaking their fists in rage, they chanted in German, “Jude, Jude feiges Schwein! Komm heraus und kämpf allein!” (“Jew, Jew, cowardly swine, come out and fight on your own!”)
    Earlier last week in Dortmund and Frankfurt anti-Israel protester chanted, “Hamas Hamas Juden ins gas!” (“Hamas Hamas Jews to the gas!”). On Friday, a 200-strong mob in Essen chimed in, “Scheiss Juden!” (“Jewish shit”)
    This week, similar mobs gathered in Kassel, Nuremberg, Mainz, and other cities throughout Germany. The crowds are largely young, with both immigrants and native Germans, many of Middle Eastern origin. Politically they span the spectrum, from German neo-Nazis to Marxist anti-Imperialists, from secular Palestinian nationalists to Islamic fundamentalists.

  6. Saw Roger Waters when he did the Dark Side of the Moon concert in Calgary. Great concert, but when he strayed into the political realm, you could tell his brains were pretty much fried. He did more damage to his “cause” than he realized.

  7. Agreed. We were at his concert a few years ago too in Calgary, and had box seats supplied by the oil company my wife worked for before she became a stay at home mom. It was a great concert until the anti-oil displays hit the screens. Kind of awkward since almost every box seat and earned income in that building is derived from oil revenues in one form or another.
    Walking out of the concert wouldn’t had made much of a statement since no one would notice through the purple haze.

  13. EBD @ 10:03, this is like the 1930s in Germany all over again, except this is happening also here in Canada and no doubt in some US cities as well as other European countries. These anti-Israel are nothing short of anti-Semitic, and are getting worse by the year. It does not bode well for the future. And to think that the liberal parties in many countries, who are supposedly the inheritors of the liberal democracy mantle are a part of this. The liberals of today appear to be moving toward what the Russian Black Hundreds were.
    ISIS terrorists torched an 1,800 year-old church in Mosul according to reports on Saturday.

    Militants from the radical jihadist group the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have set fire to a 1,800-year-old church in Iraq’s second largest city of Mosul, a photo released Saturday shows.

    Earlier, Mosul’s Christians fled the city en masse before a Saturday deadline issued by the al-Qaeda-inspired Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) for them to either convert to Islam, pay tax, leave or be killed.

  24. Will someone help me understand WHY, when our government has declared Hamas as terrorists, they are not arrested when they fly their flag and assault people who counter their protest?
    Is this the Trudeau Charter rearing it’s ugly head on this matter? If it is we need to use the over ride called the Notwithstanding clause to haul their arses off our streets.
    We all know the Charter would NEVER have been signed if that Notwithstanding clause, section 93 of the THING, were not included yet all the Lefties cry like Banshees if anyone uses it. There is a reason of course and this is one of them, the Charter makes some people more equal than others and some of our worst immigrants know how to play it, along with the disgrace of the divisive Multicultural mess and the Human Rights Courts.
    How long can we let this go on and be a cohesive country?

  34. It’s a personal judgement call. For me, when artists spout boilerplate environmental stuff, or generic anti-war tripe, I tend to separate these views from their music because a) those views are the default position for almost anyone – and I would include performing/touring artists – who doesn’t have time to keep up with current events, except maybe (in the case of musicians) when they’re in their hotel room with the TV on while they’re on tour; and b) artists tend to be emotional, and these “save the planet” or “no more war, man, killing is bad” viewpoints tend to come from soggy thinking that’s in the general direction of “love” and empathy. A lot of artists have the brains and sentiments of Miss America contestants, they just happen to have talent.
    Pinhead Roger Waters, on the other hand, and other pinheads like him, are transparently motivated by hate. When he floats a giant inflatable pig with the Star of David on it at his concerts, for example, or shows the Star of David morphing into dollar signs, he’s promulgating ancient slurs that have been used for centuries as justification for persecuting Jews, and were used not very long ago to justify murdering millions of them.
    He’s just a very ugly man, driven by the oldest, ugliest hatred of all, so I can’t make excuses for him.
    I think most of us are capable of separating the art from the artist to a certain extent, but we also draw the line somewhere. For those lucky few who don’t, and who are capable of completely separating art from artists’ “thoughts on subjects other than their specialty”, here’s one for ya’!

    Exactly !! I listen to their music and some of their concert performances are entertaining, however unless they do something totally abhorrent like eating dead babies on stage, then I couldn’t care less what they do on stage or in their private lives.
    The floating pig would have been even more ironic if it had the Crescent on the other side. It’s a political statement about meaningless strife in the Mideast. The Muslims and Jews both don’t eat pig, but seem to argue over everything else, and they’ve been doing it for thousands of years.
    It’s not our dogfight.

  38. I haven’t listened to Pink Floyd since I was 15. Their music is so laughably pompous and arty-farty which is bad enough but my God, one of their hugest international hits was about how kids should give up their education and become useless parasites!
    Oh yeah, Waters’s bona fides as an utter moron were established decades ago.
