If anyone thinks that there is anything close to free votes in the UN they are naive. The whole organization is corrupt and the bullies of the world threaten and twist arms behind the scenes to get the results they want. If they lose then there is always the veto. It is useful to the US in that it can provide the appearance of legitimacy for their aggressive foreign policy. That is why it is still around and that is why Canada is still part of it.

If I had a dream fulfilled for humanity it would be that the crony communist UN collapsed and in its place the free nations formed an international parliament dedicated to the spread of democracy, free constitutional societies, personal liberty and free market capitalism.
