    As to the first reference, I’ve been thinkin’ for the last few days, actually, that Mr. Trudeau, Jr. has no empathy, which is a very big word in the Liberal vocabulary, whatsoever: a good many of my friends come from eastern European families; and,
    as to the second reference, I have been suggesting for some time that Mr. Gore’s, “The science is settled”, nonsense is about the politics being settled, rather than the science.
    If, and only if, Baird is seen to be instrumental in helping to form a new government for Ukraine, that would put him in the same territory as Lord Curzon and Lester Pearson (not to say Henry Kissinger), at least.

  8. The RCMP has decided to prohibit the Swiss Arms rifle because it has determined that somehow this rifle is potentially convertable to a full automatic. Previously some of these were restricted, and some were non-restricted. All of a sudden, they are prohibited based on a whim of the RCMP.

    2) no violent crime has ever been committed with this rifle in Canada to my knowledge
    3) law abiding gun owners who have bought between 1000 and 2000 of these over the last 15 years or so will have their property confiscated, WITH NO compensation.
    That’s the Canada we live in. CPC or Liberal. Does it really matter?

    Just wondering.
    A few more women have come out with allegations that Kenny treated them the same way Liberals treat our tax dollars.
    After the first allegations which were lost,then found, then Kenny’s resignation was backdated, and then Justin told everyone that he was proud of how the Liberals handled the matter, it should be interesting to see how he handles these new allegations.

    Suddenly she has encountered a situation where she didn’t get her way and this is what happened.
    Imagine being an employer of such a woman. Or a boyfriend. Yikes!

  16. I’ve never been to New Zealand but constantly heard great things about it from everyone who has visited there. However, a 20-something couple just spent a night in Auckland and told me that all they encountered were druggies, drunks, and other jerks.

    One problem with hurricanes is that they don’t conveniently run themselves through the 20-mile-wide corridor that you happen to put wind turbines in. Even so, that one array described in the article equals the entire power output of all the wind turbines in the world, currently. It took decades to build up that infrastructure.
    Let’s see. At the very least, you’d have to pepper 100 miles of coastline around each major city (Houston, New Orleans, Mobile, Savannah) with turbines, and around 300 for the New York to Washington corridor. Then add 800 miles of coastline for Florida, which has to be surrounded because hurricanes come at it from all directions. So about 1500 miles of turbine-hurricane-barrier. That’s 75 times bigger than the study’s array.
    The total cost of all this is fifteen trillion dollars, in today’s money. But you’d stop the hurricanes, except in rural areas and Mexico. And you’d generate over 20 Terawatts of electricity! But it would take you 1500 years to build them all, assuming the current world capacity took about 20 years to construct. Maybe 1000 years given economies of scale.
    Talk about megaprojects! This has to be at least a Petaproject. 🙂 (Peta = SI prefix for 1000 trillion.)

If they can turn us away from the CPC then princess justine just might get voted in. Then the RCMP can kick in every door with impunity to get the rest of the guns with the blessing of the liberals. The hypocrisy of gun control advocates is that they think its ok for the government to use their guns to take away the guns of the citizens. I’ll be writing my MP, as well as the PM, in the morning to voice my anger at the RCMP.

  24. I lived there 1985 and 1986 for almost two years. I have been back 5 times since, but not since the mid 90’s. It is an awesome country, whose people accept Canadians like family. The weather is great, and the beer is cold. Great beaches, Great food. It may have changed in the last 20 years, but I can’t believe it has changed that much. Vancouver has to infinitely worse.

  25. A classic moonbat temper tantrum when things don’t go their way. For 3 year olds who behave like this usually a couple of firm slaps to their rear result in termination of the meltdown; curious that none of the people around her utilized this technique.
    Even more curious is why no-one sitting around the table told her to shut up and stop wasting the groups time. Just imagine the collective temper tantrum of the moonbats in the US when the Dumbocrats are defeated and the prospect of a unicorn in every American garage is forever ended.
    The RCMP no longer exists; the statist gestapo which has taken its place should be referred to as the HRGT and I make a point of using that acronym whenever I have reason to refer to this band of statist criminals.

    No, the RCMP are doing what they have been mandated to do by the Canadian Government, regardless of party. People can whine and cry all they want about the nasty Liberals, but the fact remains that the CPC is just as responsible because they are doing nothing/did nothing about the Firearms Act. SH blathered about property rights, he did nothing, now here we are.
    Oh, yay, they got rid of the Non-Restricted registry! Wait, the Swiss Arms rifles mentioned above? Yeah, they were non-restricted. Now they’re prohibited.
    So, me being a gun owner, tell me why I should vote CPC? Simply because all they do is maintain the status quo, and that is supposed to somehow be ‘better’?

  33. Yes, to my great disappointment,my Conservative MP never even bothered to answer my E-mail concerning High River, nor has any CPC MP or Cabinet Minister replied to my requests to expunge Bill-C-68.
    The CPC right now are in never-never Land,they seem to think it’s 2011 again, but they won’t listen to those of us CPC members who are telling them their is a real groundswell of anger over their mishandling of so many issues.
    The bigwigs at the CPC seem to think all they have to do is show figures proving that the economy is in good shape,and everyone will love them, but they are ignoring the base that got them elected in the first place.
    The Environment Minister has rejected the gold and copper mine in the Cariboo, thus shutting down any possibility of a huge job creator in that economically depressed area of B.C.
    Long time Reform/CPC MP Dick Harris has stated his strong objections to the government’s stance on killing jobs in his constituency, but the government is more interested in pandering to greens than improving the economy of a Western Canada area.
    But I bet they’ll give Chrysler in Ontario the 500 million dollar bailout they’re begging for.
    It’s too bad we don’t have a credible Western Canada Party to vote for, because it looks like politics as usual in Canada.The West feeds the East and gets no thanks for it.
