Too funny:
Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians were the highlight of New Years Eve for many years. I recall watching them on our black and white Zenith TV in the 60’s as they brought in the new year from the classy ballrooms of the USA, IE: The Waldorf Astoria in New York.

I’m trying to synchronize my watch to Greenwich Mean Time. Why do I get two different times when I open the site with Yahoo or Google Chrome. I thought GMT was within two seconds on the WWW.

Yeah,when I was a kid,New Year’s always started with Guy Lombardo and his orchestra, first on radio,then on TV.

I met Guy Lombardo when I was 8 years old. Being kids, were more impressed with his brand new Chrysler Imperial than with him.
I offer these two stories appearing in a UK newspaper today, Daily Mailonline, without comment. The pictures alone speak for themselves. Though I suspect what a person actually chooses to see and focus on is dependent on their politics, religion, age, etc.
