  1. A professor of English who doesn’t understand that the Senate is elected? Hope her students demand a refund of their tuition.

  2. Members of the House of Representatives are elected for 2 year terms. As one of the twitter commenters stated, they most closely represent the people (because of their short terms/frequent elections). There is a link on one of the twitter comments to a Youtube video where she stars.
She may be deaf. I couldn’t find out for certain. Her speech is monotonal which is characteristic of the deaf. She is obviously a well meaning woman who lives in the bubble of academia….. it would be sad if it wasn’t so destructively naive.

  3. Wow. And she ‘earns’ more money than most of us, it’s a government sinecure but whatever, it places money in her pocket. A 50% slash in education funding in both the US and Canada would be a good first step.

  4. Oh yeah. She is deaf. Deaf to the realities of the real world. Please people. Stop making excuses for those who want to destroy us! It is getting sad.

  5. I thought the house was elected for year terms off setting. where they are 2 years apart so that every two years half the house is up forelection and the other half is not for another 2 yrs. during the presidential election. correct me it I’m wrong.

  6. There are 435 elected members in the House of representatives for two year terms. Each one of them stand for reelection every two years. There are 100 senators, two from each of the 50 states. They are elected for six year terms. Every two years 1/3 of these senators are up for reelection. So,over a six year period there will be 33, 33, and 34 senators running in each of the elections every two years. There are no term limits in the House or the Senate. The president is elected for a four year term with two terms maximum, or eight years.

Those who rely on Mordor’s security become Sauron’s army of vassal Orcs – Tolkien modeled the relationship between Orcs and their masters after the wretched peoples tyrannical collectivism created. He likened it (19th century statist socialism) to the most dystopian form of Feudalism.
Orcs – or Orks are a race of wretched creatures who are used as soldiers and henchmen by the greater villains of The Lord of the Rings — Morgoth, Sauron and Saruman.
Although not entirely dim-witted and occasionally crafty, they are portrayed as miserable beings, hating everyone including themselves and their masters, whom they serve out of need and fear. They make no beautiful things, but rather design cunning plots designed to create chaos.
Orc culture and customs – Orcs know one or more of the stealing arts. They engage in the reality-denying ideology given them by theose they serve. They like to sing horrible tone deaf songs mocking their betters. The Misty Mountains Orcs invent horrid machines used to corrupt beautiful things. In some texts, Tolkien suggests that Orcs detest what they can’t have or be. Tolkien indicates that Orcs are always ravenous. Orcs consume virtually anything they come in contact with, and there are frequent hints of cannibalism among Orcs. The Orcs have no inherent language or ideas of their own, merely a pidgin of many various languages and concepts of the more evolved peoples they have come across.
Orcs seem to have been Tolkein’s characterization of the pathetic spititless vassals of statist collectivism who ultimately become slaves and cannon fodder of their hegemonic communist masters – pretty much sums up the culture/persona of the zombie entitlement hordes who are mobilized in Obama’s war against America. IMHO
