  1. “They’re completely graphic and disgusting,” Ashley James, a 23-year-old interior design student, said of the photos…”We’re looking for some loopholes because it’s completely inappropriate,” she said…

Okay. As long as she feels that strongly about it.

  2. The sign says “my body, my choice”
I couldn’t agree more, her body, her choice.
As for the unborn person… not so much.

  3. Yes well, blatant butchery should make you somewhat discomfited by the fact that someone is dying…which by general agreement and most metrics of civilization is BAD.
Well oh heavens, we can’t make a moral judgement as that may imply actual standards of behavior!
By Ashley’s metrics she would imply “Oh and by the way your free speech should be circumscribed by my right to behave like a rabbit…”

  4. not to git pregnant is sooooo difficult!!
yes it is the fools body, and her right, so she can choose to screw or not to screw, but it’s my money, so don’t steal it to try and reverse your stupidity!!!
make is a user pays program and watch the DECLINE.

  5. A 23 year old Interior Design student. Now that is someone whose opinion everyone is seeking! I can see why she is protesting. If she can’t get abortions she is going to finally grow up as an out-of-work, fat, dumb, welfare queen with five kids from different fathers. She is just dumb enough to fall for every lame line that comes along. Guys can easily spot these women.
Of course, she is just doing what libruls do. Since their arguments are nonsense, they just want to keep others from adversely commenting on or challenging their dumb statements. If she is not woman enough to do it herself, she has to get government to do it for her.

  6. Feminazis are discomfited when confronted by the photographic evidence of what their “my body my choice” stand actually -means-.
A word of caution though, to any who would make government the arbiter. Remember that post about the CSA and all the shenanigans their poobahs were pulling? Just let there be a Department of Abortion Control and watch the games begin. Even if the bureaucrats are all pure as the driven snow and don’t take bribes (and if you think that’s likely I’ve got a unicorn for sale) the thing will grind along just like everything else in government does: on grease made out of equal parts money and blood.
User pays. As in, user pays the whole shot including hospital room, food, the lot. Oh, and hospitals can charge whatever they want. No price controls.
That alone would put a hell of a dent in the female infanticide racket.

  7. “U of M student Ashley James is sickened by a graphic anti-abortion display on the university campus. She wants it taken down”
Then they had their desired effect – you SHOULD be sickened by the grizzly murder of living humans – at least you should if you have reason, morals and a modicum of human empathy. I suspect that the reality of late-term abortion has deeply clashed with the romantic picture her technocrat marxist profs and consensus media have spun for her about the abortion industry. We can beat on these intellectually lobotomized kids all we want but the real criminal enterprise is the corporate medical cabal who have abandoned ethics for this Frankenstein practice of “harvesting fetal tissue” from brain-washed young women for the lucrative stem cell market. Ghouls all of them.

  8. In the past I have posted the annual number of abortions in Canada at 80,000. This is an underestimate. The actual figure could be approx. 110,000.
So why have abortions been under-reported? What’s so embarrassing about reporting the true figures?

  9. “University is a place you should be learning, not calling each other Nazis,” Morry said.
    Irony.

  10. As the most reluctant supporter of early on abortion I still respect the arguments being made. Those against abortion believe (and quite rightly) that unfathomable numbers of children have been killed. The truth is not easy. You are in university. Here is the truth even though it makes your positions and perhaps some of your choices uncomfortable. Better to truly understand the implications of what you are supporting/deciding on. Time to grow up folks. Reality sucks.

  11. “Comparing people who support abortion to Holocaust supporters… is quite extreme.”
Hey,you constantly refer to AGW/CC skeptics as “deniers”,a smear reminiscent of “Holocaust deniers”,so fair’s fair.
Sorry, but free speech sometimes doesn’t go your way.

  12. This is an unfortunate situation. Is there no way that some of these
really keen pro abortion fans could demonstrate their sincerity by ah,
perhaps, correcting their mum’s mistake in having given birth to them?
It’s a bit late in the day, but how about practicing what they preach?
Perhaps it would take just a few high profile suicides to get the ball
rolling and show they can walk the walk instead of appearing on stage
as vacuous ninnies who need to be sheltered from unpleasant reality.

  13. Predictably the large majority of anti abortion posts come from arrogant males. Well it is her body and you males have never or will never be pregnant or bear a child. I respectfully suggest that you STFU and leave it to females to decide the issue.

  14. Robert, by your own reasoning (and the assumed gender of your name), “I respectfully suggest that you… leave it to” adults that possess the ability and willingness to think critically and debate openly (as opposed to telling other to “STFU”). I’m just a guy but if the soon-to-be mother of my child considers abortion I have the right to disagree with her. Yes, it’s her body. But it’s OUR child. It took two to make the baby. Why should only one have a say in its’ future? I’ve only ever heard of one immaculate conception that didn’t require both a man and a woman… and I stopped believing that story years ago. In the end, the “It’s Her Body” argument doesn’t hold water… she made the decision when she chose to engage in intercourse knowing the potential repercussions. You reap what you sow, so to speak.

  15. Robert, you’re 100% right, except for the parts you got wrong.
By your reasoning you should say, “let the child decide.” It’s his/her life that is at stake.

  16. Robert, is there a comment more arrogant than yours?
Since you don’t mind getting personal, would you tell us how many of your children have been aborted or left for someone else to look after? These are indications of a truly arrogant male.

  17. Robert Austin said: “I respectfully suggest that you STFU and leave it to females to decide the issue.”
Ah yes, the famed liberal tolerance. No deviation from accepted policy shall be tolerated, shut up and get back to work.
Irony being that the females in question are complaining about graphic representations of the inevitable outcome of their choices.
Being an “arrogant male”, I’ve noticed over the years that many, many lefties have this rosy view of The Choice and the procedures which are used. Probably involving little cell clusters being painlessly whisked away by vacuum tubes, as the skilled doctor unerringly identifies the exact location of the microscopic fetus and guides his instruments there with multi-million dollar robotic machinery. With lots of blinking lights and a couple of huge 1960’s style tape drive cabinets in the background. And no doubt equally vague thoughts about the little babies going back up to Heaven, reclining on clouds and such. Little white wings, chubby cheeks etc.
But gee whiz Robert, that isn’t what actually happens. Shouldn’t these noble Freedom Fighter Amazons know what’s -really- going to happen when they sign that form? You know, make an informed choice?
Or would an informed choice be a bad thing for you?
Just wondering. The arrogance in me wants to know.

  18. It’s your body. It’s also your child’s body.
Lose the flippant smug attitude about the topic and you may be taken seriously. Should a conjoined twin be allowed to murder her sister?
The reality is is that there is no easy resolution to this. So long as you understand that you are killing a baby, then I am okay with that. For those that pretend that somehow the baby is not a person is disingenuous and cowardly.

  19. Putting this issue and your feeble comment aside for one moment, why should universities be breeding grounds for leftist ideologies (ie- Israeli Apartheid Week, gay-friendly spaces, Muslim footbaths and activists professors)? I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that universities were places of higher learning and that one could freely say what one wished and not have a liberal student union take your cash and use it for their own causes. How wrong I was.
Anyway, this girl knows that your comment is wrong, not that you would care to hear why.

  20. To be against abortion is not sexist or anti-women, in fact, I believe most of those babies that are killed are little girls.

  21. “I respectfully suggest that you STFU and leave it to females to decide the issue.”
But what if “the females” decided to ban abortion? Since some women would still want abortions, and since, whatever the law and whoever came up with the law, a woman’s body is still “her body”, then a woman being denied an abortion would still be being tyrannized over, would’t she?

  22. I predict Ashley James will after a life time of being a FemiNazi in her youth be unable to attract a stable competent loving man and will end up poor and alone and nuttier than a Pecan Log.
She’ll be one of those women that has no connections to family. Feels completely unfulfilled without any realization as to why and will spend her later years trolling organic food markets purchasing vegan dishes for 1 and spend her lonely evenings on conspiracy theory sites.
She’ll also end up looking like one of those old women who just ‘looks’ like an NDP supporter.
