Reader Tips

In tonight’s amusement en route to the Tips Jonathan and Darlene Edwards, the excruciatingly non-musical alter-egos of the mellifluous – and always on-key – vocalist Jo Stafford and her bandleader husband Paul Weston ask the eye-watering musical question Who?

  1. Shocker! Somewhat popular news-related website (just a bunch links, really) scams users by abusing HTML refresh page features. Later, can’t speak, suffering from newfound requirement speak as if writing newspaper headlines. Sound important, betray moronitude. Not speak words indication of failed application for dumb card. We at Dumb Card Corporation too stupid figure out membership.

  2. I found out something interesting yesterday. Our county’s biggest employer has several work sites in the area. EPA rules now require each one to fill out a report every time a storm dumps more than .5 inches of moisture on the workplace. This crazy regulation is part of the new, draconian rules on storm water runoff. Anyone starting a business in this environment should have his head examined.

In early July the Toronto police arrested a man named Benjamin Levin, who most of us had never heard of. That was all about to change. The 61-year-old Levin was charged with seven counts of child exploitation, including charges of possessing and accessing child pornography, and was released into his brother’s custody on $100,000 bail. He has three brothers actually. One was, for 17 years, the books editor of the Globe and Mail, another is Canada’s ambassador to Cuba, and a third the Registrar at the University of Toronto. In other words, a power elite family. – See more at: http://www.theinterim.com/politics/promoting-perversity/#sthash.vjX9OqSd.dpuf

“A wave of devastating violence swept through Egypt Wednesday as the government attempted to disband the supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi from their sit-ins. According to the Associated Press, 638 people have now been confirmed killed, and nearly 4,000 are injured.
The fighting is far from limited to the Islamists and the military, however. Since Wednesday’s violence began, there have also been a wave of attacks on churches and Christian institutions.”

  8. I have to laugh at the “leadnow” motto “People Powered Change”. What other entity is going to change things in this world? Chrysanthemums? Olinguitos? Aliens from the planet Pflurfffzl?
They’re not leading anything. They’re mindless followers of some very nasty philosophers named Kant, Hegel and Marx.

  9. On the principle that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, that sex education curriculum officially can be deemed “garbage”.
The biggest problem of course is age-appropriateness; after all, most children are going to find out about most of these issues soon enough. And there is nothing wrong with lending some comfort or a helping hand to those who are picked on because of a, shall we say, “non-standard” sexual orientation, in fact it’s commendable.
But the notions that there are multiple genders, and that one “is” whichever one pleases, are fully ridiculous, and are bad enough to constitute child abuse. I doubt that’s the only dubious content of the curriculum, brought to you by the lunatic fringe that is OISE.
    Bring on the vouchers, ASAP!

Corporations… they’re legal entities that some dishonest people hide behind to avoid personal responsibility for their actions.
