We’re not allowed to discuss, during this “honest conversation”, the motivations of both people involved in the incident that caused the “honest conversation.” If we were, we’d be discussing the hip-hop culture and its macho bullshit. We’d be discussing broken families. We would be discussing street fighting. We would be discussing how a kid gets suspended three times from school. We’d dive into the world Trayvon Martin lived in to see what transpires during 17 years of life that would give someone the idea that jumping a guy you didn’t know was a thing you could do without serious consequences.
But we’re not having that conversation. We’re not being honest.

  4. I think a beheaded Christian in a Muslim country knows more about racism than any minority in North America. If anything, Trayvon was correctly profiled on a dark night as a thug up to no good. He just thought he could jump him and beat the crap out of George with no consequences. If he had survived I don’t think he would do that again.

  6. Funny thing about Hispanics. They come from the same crappy neighborhoods as blacks. They accept none of the guilt that Whitey revels in like a fresh bathed dog rolling in the manure pile. By labeling Hispanics as oppressors while the Columbia and Harvard grad president of the US assumes the roll of being oppressed. What a crock. There can never be an honest conversation about race because that would involve taking personal responsibility. Blame is easier.

    This time, the Short Victorious War will be fought in the liberal cities of the USA against the suburbs. He’s trying to stage an astroturf replay of Black Day in July, starring himself as the Man on the White Horse.
    Riots start, bunch of White people get killed/burnt out, martial law gets declared, all the guns get collected, peace gets restored, bing-bang-baddaboom, another seventy years of DemocRat majorities and payola for all. Sweet.

  8. Everyone knows what happened the night Trayvon Martin was shot, black, white and Hispanic. Including Trayvon’s parents, Sharpton and Obamba.
    The only real difference in the knowing is honesty verses agenda.
    The whole idea of having a serious “honest conversation” is a silly joke considering who you’d think your having an honest conversation with, and what the discussion was really about.

    The media will slurp is up, the race huckster industry will line up at the microphones and Government committees seeking a free microphone and lotsa funding.
    Meanwhile, all across America, Black on Black violence will continue at record rates, fatherless black families will stay at record levels, abortion rates for black women, especially teenagers, will stay at record levels and Obama’s ignoring of this social miasma will stay at record levels.

  10. Honest discussion: most black people in the USA are functionally illiterate.
    One of the three most prevalent issues in the American black community is the one issue that NOBODY dares to discuss in public. Sure, we’ll lightly graze the subject of ‘black on black’ crime, and we’ll mention ‘babies born to unwed parents’; but, what we won’t discuss is the issue that the majority of blacks in the USA are likely functionally illiterate. If you consider that the public schools in most large urban cities are graduating students that are not functionally literate(we’ve all read numerous articles about this), and consider that the majority of black youths go to these schools; you can easily make the correlation to that and the employment rate and the earning capacity of black American youths. In fact, Rachel Jeantel is the poster child for this. As she said “I can’t read cursive”; which is likely the rule, not the exception in the black community, as she boasts a “3.0 gpa”.
    Now, I’m not criticizing Rachel, or the black community for having their education’s stolen from them by public sector unions and their cohorts. In fact, I’ve complained here at sda for the same thievery of education from Canadian kids. I’m simply pointing to the fact that the very poor education most black kids are receiving in America is directly related, and largely responsible for much of the strife experienced in the American black community.

    Also, just as there was no evidence to convict Zimmerman, there’s insufficient evidence to believe Trayvon jumped Zimmerman, as much as you might like to believe otherwise.
    Blacks in the US are worse off mainly because of ‘urban redevelopment’ (look up ‘Robert Moses’- he’s a real life movie villain), the welfare state, and worse the War on Drugs. Most American blacks have moved into the middle class.

  17. Something I read in the last few days said that Detroit had a lower literacy rate than the Central African Republic, not something to brag about. Somewhere I also read that the chairman of the Detroit School Board was illiterate. The inmates they put in charge choose to dwell on history. The solution for them is to give everyone a 4.0 grade point average without teaching them to read.

  19. Without trying to put too fine a point on it there are two classes of ‘black’. The native born black whose great great grandparents came to America aboard slave ships, and recent black immigrants who came to America to better their lot in life.
    I knew a fellow from the former catagory and he seemed to feel a special kindred with all people with ‘black’ skin. So much so that walking down the street he would call out to another ‘black’ person with “hey brother”. It was always amusing to me when his “hey brother” was met with a blank stare from the second catagory of ‘blacks’.

I don’t know if your keepers ever let you out in the real world but it would simply never happen. The confrontation was more likely started by someone whose text messages dwelt on violent – that would be Baby Trayvon.

LAS, I know insulting people (I wouldn’t say “putting people down” because it’s not like your childish name-calling hurts real adults but I digress…) makes you feel better but it serves only to show how shallow and ignorant you are. How did Zimmerman acquire his injuries? By having Martin jump on top of him and pound him into the cement. What was the nature of his bullet wound? As one who was positioned over the shooter. Read the transcripts. Zimmerman even says Martin was approaching him.
    As for hip-hop, no one is pinning the blame solely on a symptom of a decrepit culture. It certainly doesn’t help fatherless boys to admire thugs rather than real men, though.
    Black American society has been diminishing for years. Everything starts in the home. With broken families, you have a broken society. The same with literacy. If you had students, parents and teachers who cared, not broken homes, wastrel kids and union schlubs, one might actually see well-educated kids leave schools and start productive lives.
    Of course, one only need mention these things and poof! Gone is the dream.

    There’s not enough evidence to -prove- Trayvon jumped Zimmerman. But if you really think that toadstool Zimmerman voluntarily took on a kid -much- bigger and tougher than he was, you’re retarded. Zimmerman is not a friggin’ SpecOps ninja. Hell, he’s not even a mall ninja. He’s a typical self-important Block Captain, overweight, officious and not prepared for combat. Yappy dog type, all bark and no sense.
    And if you think little Traaaayvon jumped a guy he knew had a gun, you’ve never met a gang banger. They run faster than deer when they see a gun, every time. Because most of them know guys who got killed by guns, often watched it happen. They -run-.
    Gun was fired at contact distance after Zimmerman sustained a face wound from being punched and head wounds from having his melon beat on the concrete. If little Traaaaaayvon hadn’t been trying to kill Zimmerman there’s no way that pudgy goof would have shot him.
    Court case bears that out. Open and shut, pure political show trial BS from start to finish.
    So blow it out your butt, LASsie. You want to talk about what happens when guys fight, maybe you should go learn something first.

  32. LAS, it was clearly established that Zimmerman and Martin were out of each others sight for four minutes. The prosecution and the Trayvon cheerleaders have all said that “all Martin wanted was to get back to his folks place.” He had ample time to do that in the four minutes. He didn’t, so obviously he didn’t just “want to get back to his folks place”. He searched for Zimmerman and assaulted him.

  34. Folks, please don’t conflate LAS’s ‘learning’ with conservative ‘education’. There is a real difference. Learning is what you get at a modern school where you are taught to parrot the party line. Education requires the holder to take all sorts of information from a multitude of sources and distill it down to an intelligent composite reality. Thus LAS spouts the MSM line while the Educated follow all the threads and glean relevant information that gives a clearer picture of what really happened between Trayvon and George.

  36. It isn’t up to anybody to prove Zimmerman didn’t start this….it was up to the prosecution (and the MSM, who have from day one pretended this was a race based incident) to prove that he did. They couldn’t….because there is no evidence to suggest it. But I do find you last sentence interesting where you seem to admit that “Trayvon pounded Zimmerman”….meaning Zimmerman was fully within his lawful right to defend himself.
    Oh….and here is one other little tidbit….Zimmerman was on his own property when this incident occurred. He probably could have even invoked the Castle Doctrine.

    Our governments, the U.S. and Canada, have been giving thugs the idea that they can live their thug culture without consequences for several decades now.
    If one of these thugs attacks me or invades my home, they will face serious consequences and when the government arrests me I will point my finger at the judge and say, “This person is xxxx because YOU gave them the false impression of security that I would be the one who is xxxx instead and that they would be standing right here this day in place of me because YOU gave them the false impression that their choice to attack me was LOW RISK.”

  49. Phantom, I’m sure that this is Obozo’s plan, except there is one small problem, a huge armed population that will no longer agonize about the answer to the question “when is it time to shoot the bastards?”
    Obozo is probably assuming that his appointment of eunuch perfumed princes to high ranking positions in the military will keep the military out of the fray. Only problem for Obozo is that I suspect that most patriotic American soldiers view such individuals as political commissars and they likely won’t last long once US civil war #2 breaks out.
    Obozo is likely assuming that somewhere in the NSA mountain of disk drives lies all the information that is necessary to round up the ringleaders of those that would oppose him. This is an idea that assumes a hierarchical power structure and, if one chops off the head, the body will die. Only problem with this idea is that the people opposed to Obozo are just the ones who have the most experience with self-organizing systems. Capitalism is a self-organizing system which solves problems of supply and demand effortlessly — something that no centrally planned system has been able to do. Similarly, self-organizing groups of militia will form by the hundreds of thousands across the US with those individuals with military experience sharing knowledge with the less experienced. A common goal among all these groups would be the restoration of the US constitution as the central guide to how Americans should govern themselves.
    Obozo is likely counting on mass displays of force by homeland security forces to intimidate people but, until the forces fighting for US freedom can confront these totalitarian forces directly, it will be a guerrilla war. In the disarmed areas of Boston, homeland security goons can intimidate, but in those parts of the US where people take the second amendment seriously any such exercise would be met with more firepower than the statist goons could muster.
    Everything I’ve seen thus far points to the US government expending considerable energy to start a race war. There is a huge underclass of US blacks who are totally unprepared for life in a modern society and are resentful of white people who are far more educated than they are and hence able to function in a modern society. The focus of US black culture appears to be on devolution with a population that is largely illiterate yet feels that they are the victims of white oppression and believe that they are being denied reparations for their “suffering”. Obozo has done nothing to dispel these dangerous memes and is actively encouraging them. What stands in the way of Obozo assuming complete power is the 2nd amendment which was one of the most prescient insights of the US founding fathers.
    Obozo really was Trayvon Martin 35 years ago except, unfortunately, no-one shot him back then. He was a spoiled drug-addled brat who used affirmative action programs to reach a station far above his level of incompetence. In a true meritocracy, Obozo might be employed as a toilet attendant if he applied himself but right now the US would be in far better shape if instead of holding a presidential election one person from the US was randomly chosen to be POTUS.
    An honest conversation about race would include the data from The Bell Curve with only Thomas Sowell being qualified to raise objections to some of the data. An honest conversation about race would bring up the severe distortions that affirmative action programs have caused in the US. There is the minor detail of why blacks are far more homicidal than whites and, when one removes black homicide rates from the picture, the rate of homicide among whites in the US is less than the Canadian homicide rate. An honest conversation about race would examine why blacks have abandoned their original musical forms such as Blues and R&B to create absolute crap in the form of hip-hop and rap. I firmly believe that I should have the right to shoot anyone who plays this crap in public. An honest conversation about race would deal with research on intelligence amplifying drugs instead of affirmative action.
    Poetic justice would be a couple of hellfire missiles launched from a drone incinerating Obozo’s presidential limo with him inside. Obozo compares himself to Lincoln, the worst president in US history, who spent his time interviewing political appointees for postmaster while the confederate state was being formed in response to blatant favoratism to the northern states. Lincoln was also the initiator of the war of northern aggression and I suspect that it may be payback time for the modern confederacy.
