  1. More government aid for Cheeto and Pepsi farmers:

“Roughly 80% of the Senate’s $955 billion farm bill, which is expected to pass this week, will go to bankroll food stamps over the next ten years…”

  2. Much ado about the “drug house “being found. But was it? The large picture with Ford(?) and the druggies also showed the edge of the garage – without a bush. Pictures of the house in daylight show a house with a prominent bush overhanging the edge of the garage door. Did Ford also sneak in and plant the bush? Is the bush a Star reporter in camouflage? Is that a George Bush?
So many questions – so few critical thinkers.

  3. Hell, the leftists don’t need to destroy her, nor would they want to. She thinks Obama is a “nice man”.

  4. Dennis Miller said something rather profound on his show today. Paraphrasing, he said: “Conservatives judge people harshly for their lack of merit. Leftists judge people harshly for their lack of agreement with the Left’s ideology.”
I think that is VERY true and explains a lot about the modern Left-Right divide. That divide, by the way, will forever be unbridgeable.

  5. EBD: A good one tonight, in memory of all our WWII veterans, would have been one by Vera Lynn.
I saw her in Ottawa a number of years ago and the veterans loved her. I’ve never seen anything like it before or since.
My favourite Vera Lynn record of We’ll Meet Again is this one

  6. What if mankind is causing global warming but not by CO2?
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are to blame for global warming since the 1970s and not carbon dioxide, according to new research from the University of Waterloo published in the International Journal of Modern Physics B this week.
    “B-b-but it’s some crackpot/OIL KORPORASH-
“Conventional thinking says that the emission of human-made non-CFC gases such as carbon dioxide has mainly contributed to global warming. But we have observed data going back to the Industrial Revolution that convincingly shows that conventional understanding is wrong,” said Qing-Bin Lu, a professor of physics and astronomy, biology and chemistry in Waterloo’s Faculty of Science. “In fact, the data shows that CFCs conspiring with cosmic rays caused both the polar ozone hole and global warming.”
This doesn’t mean he’s right. Lu claims for instance that there’s been cooling since 2002 and that’s a very bold claim.
Here’s another article that does a little bit of discussion. Spoiler alter: Andrew Weaver’s jimmies are rustled.

  7. Slap ‘er Down Again Pa, can you imagine the outcry today – I had forgotten all about Arthur Godfrey, I think he had a T.V.show, back in the good old black and white days. Can still get Billie Holiday’s, “My Man” which isn’t exactly politically correct either.

  8. I’m wouldn’t be so certain that Mrs. MuffinTop with her “assault dogs” was the innocent party. Mrs. MuffinTop’s been arrested / charged for that performance… throwing rocks, “sicing” dogs, dogs bit the woman on a public street, racial name calling / “get your white ass outahere”.
Although I think her camera man had a bit of explaining to do back at the office.

  9. 3 months past, the director of the National Intelligence Director James Clapper told Congress that the NSA doesn’t collect data…
With 1 flaming skull, from Ace of Spades, while in the post preceding this, he offers, “He’s trying to burn us out on scandal” …

  10. It’s George’s fault.
“‘If you’re not getting a call from a terrorist organization, you got nothing to worry about.’ —Republican Senator Lindsey Graham”
    …-
“And so barely 24 hours after the phone records program’s existence was first revealed publicly, Clapper took the rare step of declassifying and publicly releasing details about the authority used to authorize it, including that it’s reviewed by a special court every three months and that the data collected can only be culled when there’s reasonable suspicion — backed by facts — that the information is connected to a foreign terrorist group.”

  11. That Jurnolists is an assault on all intelligent people.
She just wanted to know the mothers reaction to someone turning themselves in for shooting her kindergartner at her graduation? Is she for real? Parasitic self important POS deserved everything plus more

“Canada posts biggest jobs gain in more than a decade”
“The Canadian economy churned out 95,000 jobs last month, the second-biggest monthly gain on record, mostly in full-time positions in the private sector.
The jump in job creation is the largest since August, 2002, and sent the country’s jobless rate down a notch to 7.1 per cent in May, Statistics Canada said Friday. The increase was eight times what economists had expected.”

  13. . . . it would be 1,000,000 new jobs equivalency in Obamaland!
“OTTAWA — Canada’s unpredictable labour market delivered another big surprise in May, piling on 95,000 jobs — the biggest monthly jump in 11 years — and pushing the unemployment rate down to its lowest level in four months.
Most of the new jobs last month were full-time positions, and nearly all created in the private sector, Statistics Canada said Friday. The unemployment rate declined to 7.1% — matching the level in December 2012 — from 7.2% in April”

  14. Zero at a loss for words when his staff forgets to provide him with his speech. But, he’s not at a loss for a putdown of the idiots — that’s Obama’s thought bubble — who’ve left him high and dry:
“My remarks are not sitting here,” the President declared awkwardly. “I’m uhhh … people … oh goodness … uhhhh… someone’s trippin’ [the guy who brings his remarks to him trips] … folks are sweatin’ back there right now.”

  15. Lev, I wish the Angus Reid Forum had asked “Do you think Justin Trudeau should become the next Canadian Prime Minister?,” rather than “Will Justin Trudeau be the next Canadian Prime Minister?”
Right now, the YES’s are at 49% and the NOs at 51%.

  16. I agree, batb. A lot of conservative-minded people responding to the question “Will Justin Trudeau be the next Canadian Prime Minister?” might answer in the affirmative as an expression of cynicism, not because they think Trudeau should become the next PM.
