Jay Carney had to walk back another set of statements regarding when the White House knew about the IRS issue because we now know that Chief White House Counsel Kathryn Reummler knew much earlier than was officially stated earlier.
He still danced around when/what the President knew,

The best way for America to introduce it’s first black Commander in chief would of been a Right wing Republican…Someone like Clarence Thomas or Condolezza Rice.

This reminds me of the Soviet system where the officials would send the talking points to the media, the media would write the proposed piece and send it back to the officials for final approval where changes would be made to fine tune the piece, and finally the “news” would be presented as “objective”.
