Let me spell it out for you, LAS: Stephen Harper became Prime Minister in 2006. Between September 11, 2001 and 2009, $12.9 billion was spent on various anti-terrorism measures; the auditor general can currently account for only $9.8 billion of it.
Everyone’s aware of this fact, including The Star, the Globe & Mail, the CBC, etc., yet all these anti-Conservative attack machines have is questions, not answers or anything resembling allegations of malfeasance. So, given the time-frame of the spending and the respective records of the two parties – your preferred party, the Liberals, and the Conservatives — on what possible basis could you possibly insinuate, let alone conclude, that the money currently unaccounted for over those years must have been misused or misplaced by the Conservatives?
Tell you what, LAS, ol’ buddy: why don’t you personally go petition the endless legions of Laurentian bureaucrats that you’re so fond of — the ones who sport Italian-framed glasses, and eat at nice restaurants — and ask them what happened to the money, and then report back to us? Other anti-Conservative forces haven’t been able to come up with anything nefarious, so we await your findings with bated breath.
Also (and this is just a friendly suggestion) you could maybe alter your tone every five-hundredth comment or so – you know, throw in something vaguely humourous or human, or modest — so you sound a little bit more informed, and less like a humourless, robotic, perpetually po-faced, unprincipled partisan hack/troll.
What was it that Uncle Joe said? Something about one death is a tragedy, whereas one million deaths is a statistic, or words to that effect, I think.
By the same token, one $90,000 mistake, paid for by personal cheque and two resignations, is a tragic scandal, whereas $40 million (still missing, with something about cash in envelopes, I seem to recall) is a statistic, I suppose.

Think about this for a moment – in 1800 a fine suit could be purchased for a one oz. gold coin. In 1900 – same situation but a suit could also be purchased for one dollar. In 1920 – gold bought the suit but it took 40 dollars to buy the same suit; 1935 – both Gold coin and dollar would buy a suit; 1960 gold coin still had same value but a person needed 60 dollars for suit….2013 a gold coin will still buy a fine suit it takes about 1900 dollars to buy a fine suit.
