It’s 5:30 am. San Francisco’s uniformed trash inspectors are monitoring the contents of residents’ garbage cans, and entering their findings into a database which will be handed over to the community outreach crew.
“100-percent waste free” by 2020? I guess San Fran’s going to have to put an end to its Gay Pride Parade.
Climate propagandists are everywhere and they are busy.
– The Weather Network … running a spot on Vancouver’s arborial display … claims observation of variations in leaves etc. proves climate change is at work.
– PBS has a documentary on the Peck Dam in Montana … interseting historical presentation but laced with enviro whackjobs paranoid rantings. Especially noted Maude Barlow speaking for “Council of Canadians”. (pisses me right off having these people claim to speak for me.)
– James Hanson … interviewed on CBC to approving nods from talking head. Slags Conservative government.
And that’s just the stuff I caought today.
My tip tonight is for my fellow conservatives in BC. It is to hold your nose and vote for the Liberals. After listening to comrade Dix and his sidekick Jane Sterk (raving mad) I have realised there is no longer a choice if we really care about the future of this province. I will have to do the unthinkable and vote for a premier I do not believe and for a party I have little in common with, but they are the least worst choice. We can toss Clark out on her backside in 4 years if she turns out to be a liar but at least she will not completely destroy the province like chairman Dix will.
Oh, and while I personally like Mr Cummins his party is simply a wedge that the NDP is counting on to get elected. Maybe with 4 years the BC Conservatives can get their act together.
Truenorthist, feel your pain @ ballot box.
Few true leaders & parties.

Next, cue in CBC’s glitzy production: live band, studio audience, panel forum ….that includes dimwits Glen Healey and BJ Stock.
Of course, the requisite hottie Andi Petrillo is there (for interview/inane commentary) but seems to have a predilict for spread-eagling over the mirrored floor to the max her skirt will allow, while doing so.

National post headline: Agency withdraws casting call for CBC show that specified `any race except Caucasian`
Enjoy!

PS: I looked all over CBC.Ca and it wasn`t there!
My reader tip is to vote Conservative. I never want to see the Liberal party be a viable party in this province again. Forever and ever and ever.
“Our approach has really been focused on outreach and education, and not on penalties,” explains Department of the Environment Director Melanie Nutter.
And once Ms.Nutter decides that enough outreach and direction has been done, the penalties will kick in. First fines ,and then the re-education camps.
Here I thought I was the only one that felt winter was lasting forever. Not.

You’re right it wasn’t there.
A posting for a job at CBC calling for “any race except Caucasian” is prompting shocked reactions online.
The posting appeared on the website for Larissa Mair Casting & Associates and on Craigslist, but has since been changed or pulled down completely.
The ad calls for audition submissions for a male host between 23-35 years of age and not white for the “Kids’ CBC” programming block.

Over at No Fracking Concensus, Donna Laframbiose has a good one, Secret Climate Meetings.
Apparently Canadian MP’s are going to meet in secret to discuss climate change in a nonpartisan setting.
How can we get a spy camera into the room?
I believe we are paying these “public servants” wages, no?
Whats with secret meeting places?
Are they afraid we will laugh in their faces, if they speak the CAGW garbage in public?

I recall when the NDP leadership convention was on the know it all media said there was not a chance that Dix could win the leadership because he was the most leftist radical.. So much for the experts. Now we will get the full Obama treatment right here on the Left Coast.
Also Van de Zalm can claim a good portion of responsibility for the socialist hoards at the door.
Adrian Dix thinks $20/month solves child poverty. How token. All his programs are “fully costed”, whatever that means.
The biggest problem for the Dips, is their complete misunderstanding of economics. They believe, if they raise taxes by 3%, the corporate tax, for example, they will raise 3% more revenue. The reality, is that revenues fall short, businesses change their priorities, and spend money elsewhere (or not at all), leaving a shortfall in Dix’ “fully costed” programs. And taxes go up.
And no, voting Liberal is not an option, that party must be destroyed, Christy is a consummate liar, and the party has to be blown up. They are NDP LITE. The Conservatives aren’t ready for prime time, but they are the best of the bad options. And what are the Greens there for, comedy relief? Just a joke.
A joke, that will be BC in 2 years time, when our economy has gone off the cliff, and Tricky Dix announces his $2 billion deficit budget ‘stimulus’, creating more BCGEU jobs than we need, comrade.
OMMAG, you will very much enjoy listening to Lorrie Goldstein explain the phoney propagandists that are today’s environmentalists.

Sorry! What I meant to say is I was looking for the story on CBC.Ca, not the ad!!
Here we go.
http://www.thestarphoenix.com/news/national/Liberals+accuse+Conservatives+breaking+laws+with+Justin/8302108/story.html
Stephane Dion alleges the Conservatives have broken copyright and election laws with the ads attacking newly crowned Liberal leader Kim Justin-il.
I was under the impression that this came under “fair use” with regard to copyright. And there’s no federal election happening at the moment (although there is a byelection in Labrador). It’s bad enough that the politicians want to shut up third parties during campaign periods (the case that Stephen Harper himself took to the Supreme Court in 2004, and lost to one of the Court’s more mindless decisions). Now it seems they even want the politicians themselves to shut up, and even outside of election campaigns. Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile. Once again we see how badly freedom of speech has eroded in Canada, and not just for Bill Whatcott.
Also, the Liberals don’t like a flyer campaign against Kim Justin-il that Conservative MPs will be sending out through their mailing privileges on June 1. But the NDP accuse the Liberals of hypocrisy, saying they did the same thing recently, going after NDP MP Craig Scott because of his bill to change the Clarity Act.
Hypocrisy is the left’s modus operandi.
I’ve seen two Conservative anti-Trudeau ads. The second one asks whether he has the experience to “run the Canadian economy”.
But politicians are not supposed to “run the economy”. That’s NDP-style crazy talk, which should under no circumstances be coming from Stephen Harper’s party.
An economy consists of all actions of individuals with regard to production, consumption and trade. No politician can “run” that. And those who feel they should try deserve to be pilloried.
Rather, the Conservatives could expose the nest of vipers that comprise Trudeau’s “advisers”:
http://www.torontosun.com/2013/04/26/bad-advice-think-justin-trudeaus-instincts-are-scary-take-a-look-at-what-two-of-his-advisers-have-to-say
One is his Castro bootlicker brother Sacha, another is ex-MP Omar Alghabra who, among other reprehensible acts, mourned the death of terrorist Yasser Arafat.
Surely most Canadians don’t want this kind of filth running the country. The Conservatives would be doing a public service by exposing them, as Ezra Levant has done in Sunday’s column.
Agreed. Great observation, Nv53
With respect: Voting for the BC Libs is the least damaging option right now. In other words, simply kicking the can down the road until the BC Conservatives can put together a winning team. Voting for the BC Cons as they are right now is little more than a suicide pact. Get real people.
Liberalism.

Wrong. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200. I simply cannot cast a vote for Premier Snookie. If it brings Dix to office – well, we have the Marissen federal Liberal machine to thank for that (and we can all see what a bang-up job they’ve done on the federal scene).
I knew Maude Barlow, the very model of a modern bourgois bolshevik.

Actually, no — and again with all due respect — while it likely feels good to blame someone else it will be folks like you to blame. Look, I am by no means a fan of Clark, but the Marissen crew has long been purged and she is now surrounded by some good conservatives and folks who you would otherwise praise. They too see the writing on the wall and are playing the long game. The BC Conservatives are simply not ready yet and it is insane to think we can live with the NDP simply to teach people who are no longer involved in BC politics a lesson.
Your anger with Clark is understandable. I share it. However, sometimes we have to do things we do not like to get where we need to be. It will take at least ten years to fix the damage caused by just one year with the NDP, which is exactly what we will get if everyone does as you suggest.
TrueNorthist:
We will have to agree to disagree. I think the most important thing in this election is to put a stake through Clark’s political heart. I fail to see the purging of the old crooked gang you refer to, nor do I see the good people around her that you do; she continues to show no talent for identifying or selecting capable advisors. She is a brazen liar, and a self-important ignoramus.
I understand and share your concern about electing Mr Dix – I think it will be a horrible four years. I just think we are in for a horrible four years, no matter what; the difference is that the centre-right will not address their problems with Clark in office, rather they will entrench them.
This stupid old hag went nuts when visiting these parts 2 years ago. Why?. Well, the city of Detroit sources their water from Lake Huron as does Canadian cities in the area. She discovered that Detroit’s intake pipe was some 3 meters over the imaginary international border in the lake. She claimed that Detroit was “stealing Canadian water”.
