    All my friends tell me I am igorant (sic) for thinkng Abba a class act, yes, pop but excellent pop. It is classic pop, pop, yes but classic pop. Abba will ALWAYS be recognized as good, whatever culture reigns in the future, therefore classic; just like Bach.
    I do question the whole fandome thing why do people screem and faint at the se concerts?

  9. Yes Robert, I also enjoyed this Abba song immensely. One has to crank up the volume to enjoy it best.
    We have a small collection of their albums and play them a couple of times a year. Interestingly, in one of the disc collections we have there is a lengthy history of the group and one of ladies, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, born in 1945, had a Norwegian mother and a German soldier father. When the German forces had to quit Norway in the spring and summer of 1945 he had to go back to Germany. The official website does not mention this.

  11. I was truly disgusted to see that Jean Chretien attended Ralph Klein’s public memorial. What a filthy creep. The one thing you can be absolutely certain about with Liberals in Canada is that they have no shame whatsoever. They are pure sleaze right to the marrow of their bones.

  12. Just another little sign of the direction the US and Canada are slowly going. Step by step. At a certain point, without a big hullabaloo, it will be easy for the government here to replace the beaver with the hammer and sickle, and in the US the eagle with a big red star surrounded by 50 little red stars.

    Jean stated publically on more than one occasion that Ralph was “his man”.

  16. Friends or enemies , there is nothing wrong with showing respect. Chretien has no skin in the game and did the right thing. As Oz stated, they were friends, not that it mattered.

  19. No sh*t on the curious, ominous denial of anything/everything/whatever you heard, people!! (I misread the meaning of your initial post…and the link, this being originally about ABBA…thinking it said ‘fag’ rather than ‘faq’, so was somewhat puzzled when no mention of the former appeared. But after two read-throughs I’m left thinking this group needs way more study. I don’t like them already…and I don’t know what they do apart from ‘validate’ concerns from somewhere.)

    The judge who signed the warrant for this should be disbarred, if the cops lied on the warrant application they should be fired and indicted.

    I watched a doc where the father was hunted down and a reunion attempted. Not embraced from the Swedish side. Apparently a meeting took place but no long term relationship was maintained.
