Climategate 3.0

No Tricks Zone;

Roger at Tallbloke’s Talkshop here has gotten a letter from CRU lawyers suggesting he not mess around with the recently released Climategate e-mails, which are accessible using a password. The CRU apparently is very concerned about personal data ending up in public…

With advice from Lord Christopher Monckton.

  1. Great advice from Lord Monckton. What kind of “legal firm/lawyer” sends out an email without headers?? Sounds like a phising thing to me. Guess they haven’t yet noticed that us skeptics do not stoop to their level of fraud and intimatation. Go get’em TB.

  2. When you panic and don’t know what to do,
    handing opponents like Lord M a club with
    which to beat you is one option or form of
    taking action but isn’t all that smart.

  3. someone is stuck on stupid if they think the emails will not make it into the global internet community by threatening some English bloggers.
    And they somehow seem to think their laws apply to the USA and elsewhere.
    Just looks like a cheap and nasty legal chill attempt, which means they know there is much to hide.
    You know when you are on target when the flak gets thick.
    In this case the flak is a pathetic attempt to play “lawyer”

  4. Good for Tallbloke for not being intimidated and I agree, great advice from Lord Monckton. Lord Chris appears to be a man of the people.

  5. Hat off to Lord Monckton!!
    I am surprised the latest emails are not already on Pirate Bay.
