My fellow Canadian free speechers, do note:
Describing Bill Whatcott as “a lone nut who nobody pays any attention to” etc. to bolster your arguments (whether you truly believe that or are just using it as a wimpy fig leaf of respectability) now collides with these statements about homosexuality by Lech Walesa, who is neither “lone” nor a universally acknowledged “nut,” and who is certainly capable of getting lots of attention.
Now what do you do?

What tax break? Married couples must combine their incomes which inevitably disqualifiess them from benefits that are income based. I have not done my taxes yet this year, so unless income splitting for married couples has been approved for the first time ever, married couples pay more, not less tax. Married couples can’t even lie and say they don’t live common law. Married couples have been discriminated against-no tax breaks at all-heck even deductions for children were suspended for a number of years in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
If, I’m wrong, please enlighten me, I’ll gladly submit TD1 adjustments for the past seven years if I’ve missed out on a married couples deduction.
Those of us born in 1960 onwards, who had children in their twenties, have paid more taxes and had a higher tax load than any other generation before us-making us the first generation, not to do better than their parents. The late 80’s and early 90’s saw the worst revenue and tax gouging ever for Canadians.
“I also don’t have a problem with gay marriage or what consenting adults do with each other”.
See, that isn’t enough. Not for them. You can’t just “have no problem with it”, tolerate it, allow it. You must condone. More, you must celebrate, extoll, exalt and preach it. And gay “marriage” isn’t enough. You must sign onto the whole Rainbow of pansexual idealogy: bisexuality, transgenderism, polyamorism, sadomasochism– and, pretty soon, pedophilia (though they’ll call it something else). You must agree that there are seven or more genders, not just two, and that we’re all a mix of several shades of them. That there’s no such thing as “normal”, because everything is normal — without exception. And your kids must be taught all of this, and heaven help them if they don’t fill in the answers correctly in their Sex Studies class. In kindergarten.
Think I’m wrong, or exaggerating? Just wait a few years. We’re almost there already.
Homonauseous…to be sick to the stomach of sameness.
