  1. What could possibly go wnogr?

A record loss of Arctic sea ice and faster-than-expected melting of Greenland’s ice cap made worldwide headlines in 2012, but research published in major science journals in the fall suggest warming in the North doesn’t have to continue. We could refreeze the Arctic, proposed a paper in Nature Climate Change…

  2. Refreeze the arctic! Gimme a break!! Can you imagine the dire effects of such a project if the freezing goes wrong. Think high altitude jet stream and Florida orange!!
    I can`t believe this!

  3. Thanks for that, syncro, that’s a classic.
Let’s see how long he leaves that comment – what a great comment – and his own response up.

  4. EBD and syncro, thanks for the Kinsella commenter. And Kinsella’s response. Incredible how a reasoned, factual comment is met by Kinsella with, no facts, no reasoning, just an insult.

  5. “A lawyer arguing six Conservative MPs should lose their seats because of a targeted campaign of voter suppression says there’s “no loaded gun” pointing to electoral fraud, but the evidence fits.” CBC
The “evidence fits” what, other than lefties preconceived notions?
Any idiot who fell for such a prank call, and went to the wrong place just before the polls closed, and therefore couldn’t vote, probably was too stupid to vote anyway.
If they didn’t immediately formally complain to Elections Canada, then it’s nothing but hearsay.

  6. Thanks for posting that comment which I may or may not have left at Kinsella’s joint, Syncro, I was going to post it myself. I’m surprised he posted it since he moderates comments – must be a Fifty Shades of Stupid Liberal/masochist thing, I dunno.
Mr. Stuck-In-1998 clings bitterly to this idea that conservatives are rich racists – it’s his book’s hook, and it’s complete BS. The guy still calls conservatives “Reformatories” – I did the math and something like 2.5 million immigrants have arrived since Reform existed and about the same # of Canadians have died, meaning that fewer people get the reference than the average Dennis Miller joke.
It’s pretty awesome being a conservative in Canada in 2012. To bash us is to bash immigrants & the poor – it’s like getting pocket aces every hand.

  7. Someone get a screen-grab.
I would never criticize Warren. After all, he’s so… well, obviously noone would ever call him litigious. He might sue them for demfamation. And rightly so! And rightly so.
I’m just in awe of high ass-kicking abilities. And the kids all tell me that his mega-awesome punk band is, like, totally cool and stuff. You know, ’cause he’s all about rebelling against The Man.

Posted by north of 60 – that redneck wanna be better be careful of his innuendo – Sarah Palin was ‘targeted’ for much less – ‘bullets’ on a info sheet. “Bullet’ meaning defining points via large dots. Who is he pointing a ‘loaded gun’ at, is it personal; should six M.P. s hire body guards?
Where are the human rights squealers this might be ‘hate thought’.

  9. What’s the bands’ name again…. goes like “$hit-For-Brains From Hell” or something equally purile?
    Another one-hitless) wonder, like LPOC.
Justine, Justine, where are you? Your smock is ready.

  10. Let me change that headline for you:
As the non-religious grow in number, they become targets of hate and discrimination
    to
As non-Muslims in post-revolution Arab states grow in number, they’re often forced to live in hiding, and are increasingly prone to imprisonment and legal censure.

Doug Saunders and the Probe and Fail are at it again.

  11. Back to the subject. Richard and Linda Thompson (before they split) were wonderful, listen to any of their songs including the superb “I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight.”
While Linda has been relatively quiet on the music scene since the divorce Richard has turned out classic after classic, and he’s one of the great guitarists as you will see if you catch him live. He’s been active since his early days with Fairport Convention which means that he’s been playing for 45 years now.
    Truly, one of the greats.

  12. Bill Gates and wife use their ‘oh so philanthropic’ Foundation Trust to purchase controlling shares in CN Rail. I guess there was enough money left in the trust after their multi million dollar support of the Tides foundation to fight all attempts at pipeline construction. I’m sure the two actions are entirely unrelated…

  14. a poll that desperately needs to go “right”…at Sun News Network, no less: Should Canada’s provinces implement right to work laws? Looks like they are getting inundated with union lefties the last few polls, which are usually lopsided heavily towards the conservative viewpoint:
