Graham Redfearn is a “climate journalist” in Australia and an intellectual comrade of the infamous Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Redfearn loves to compare anyone who questions him with Holocaust Deniers. He also isn’t very happy having to comply with Australia’s Freedom of Information Laws. Poor darling.
One can only wonder what hysteria Mann will exude once the lawyers of the National Review and Mark Steyn start demanding information, which is their legal right since Mann is suing them for defamation.

It’s a long read but very concise.
Unlike the Tim Ball case where Mann is seemingly ignoring the discovery process (possibly in a bid to extend the court proceedings – using lawfare as a punishment for Dr. Ball’s “heresy”) there will be a lot of public attention from the partisans on both sides. Given where the case is filed, Mann may face a suit of his own if he chooses to drop his case, and the “you sued us maliciously” charges should bring about the same discovery that the current case should.
May Michael Mann burn in Hell. At least he will find “global warming” there, if nowhere else.

Actually, if scientists were doing their work, all that information would be available to the public, and there would be no need for FOI requests.

It’s interesting that what Redfearn at DeSmogBlog appears to object to more than anything else are “free market think tanks”.
This is not a coincidence.
I remember when I discovered that Mann had used the Tiljander varves to support his work – by turning the graph these data created upside down and publishing it. When he got caught he claimed it was a mistake.
If he was in medical research he would have been cashiered years ago. Instead he just brazens his way through. Hopefully he will be shown for what he is, along with others of his ilk.
I suppose criminal charges will be too much to hope for, but it is a warm and fuzzy thought.
In addition, in his legal brief to the NRO, Mr Mann has claimed the Nobel Prize for himself, a claim the Nobel Committee vigorously denies. It was given to the IPCC as a whole, and is not eligible to be personally claimed by any of its constituents.
I guess that makes the Nobel Committee “deniers” too, eh?
You might believe in “global warming” if;
– You don’t understand basic orbital mechanics.
– You don’t know how the sun works.
– You work for the UN.
– You’re ignorant about atomic/molecular weight.
– You have no concept of conductivity.
– You work for the World Bank.
– You work for the World Bank, the UN and, conveniently, have become an economics and global warming expert.

At this point, to believe in the global warming context flies in the face of rational thought.
CO2 is much heavier than ambient air and usually not any denser, if it can absorb heat then it can also equally lose it(!!), so as a relatively minor atmospheric force (compared to water vapor) it cannot, will not cause the mayhem purported by AGW pushers and the lamestream media.

What’s funny is that John’s comprehension is so flawed that he thinks naturally varying climate has been subordinated to the dictates of man, and sees nothing wrong with trying to malign those who disagree with them, while simultaneously ignoring that the internal review that cleared Sandusky as doing no wrong was the same one that was used to clear Mann as having done no wrong. If that is the same as calling him a child molester then because John used the words “I’m sure” and “child molester” in the same posting…. nah, only John would make that much of a reach.
