  1. All spending bills originate in Congress. With Rs holding the lower house why cant they do to Obamacare what Congress did to the ARVN in 1975 — cut it off?

  2. Remember that duringthe election campaign the Justice Department threatened the Defence sector with sanctions if they followed the law and provided layoff notices to tens of thousands of workers in that sector.
    Now the fun begins.

  3. The title says it all. Don’t want to hear any whining from ’em, any of ’em. They voted him in, they gotta live with it.

  4. I think the US , actually north america is screwed. The users, losers, abusers and dim bulbs now outnumber the conservatives. This won’t be reversed because O has a ever growing numbers on the dole. Our so called conservative government in Canada is in line for its own demise as well. A drama queen will be running Canada by 2015.

  5. Oh Gawd. Here at work a customer changed the TV channel to watch “The View.” There, in a single program, is why America is lost.
Gang up on the good looking blonde. She has the patience of a stone.

  6. High unemployment, is it a bug or a feature of the liberal strategy?
The more government dependants there are the more they can scare them.

  7. Yeah well, this economic situation in the US is unsustainable….when the gravy train/obama-phones stop…the nutso mob celebrating out side the White House will be storming it…unless the “won” can blame it on the 1%…..
One way ya got a coup…tother ya got a civil war.
Tain’t right, tain’t wrong, just is.

  8. Keep in mind Obama gave unions and snivel servants the right to opt out so their empires of corruption are safe.

  9. So how is the Zero going to pay for his “healthcare” with tax paying citizens being reduced? oh wait. Print more money and borrow from the Chicoms!PMSH….close the border NOW.

  10. Well, that’s sad. But I hope at least some of those laid-off workers are Obama voters. Consequences, indeed.

  11. What the R’Tards, ahem, I meant sheeple, fail to understand is that these trends specifically hurt those in the lower income brackets the most. Those that make a good income typically have a suitable Heath Care Insurance Plan(for now), and therefore have less to worry about regarding lay-offs. Why? Because the employer already has compensated for the extra burden of health coverage. It’s those in the lower income bracket that do not have insurance, because of the low skill level required, and low demand in the market for their services that will lose their jobs; all, for the “free” insurance they will NOT receive because they are now unemployed.
That said, I know SDA readers understand this fully, and did not need my 2 cents; but, I needed to rant:)

  12. Indiana Homez, there’s another factor in ObamaCare; that it’s essentially a tax. If you don’t have an insurance health plan, then, in your income tax filing, you must pay a health care tax.
So, the 47% who pay no income taxes, will also not be paying for health care – which many did not have before anyway – but will be receiving health care paid for by others.

  13. For the second day in a row, financial markets are tanking. The S&P is at its lowest level since June. Supposed “business-oriented” website Bloomberg is posting a headline that this is all due to worries about Greece. So I guess it’s just a coincidence that on Tuesday one of the largest economies in the world handed power back to someone who couldn’t care less about deficits and who can’t wait to raise taxes. I guess the liberal dopes at Bloomberg are missing the other election: the one where people vote with their pocketbooks. Obama’s losing that one badly.
What’s notable about the market slide is that gold is up again for the second day. It wasn’t so long ago that down days on the market meant down days for gold, because despite the Obama administration’s worst efforts, investors still regarded the U.S. dollar as a safe haven. They believed that there might be hope for the U.S. economy. Obama’s re-election may be marking the end of those hopes.

  14. They could always do some of those “jobs that Americans won’t do” now.
Of course why do that when they can leave their borders open to illegal aliens who can be exploited for far less while they sit on welfare until it becomes “unsustainable”.
Yup and that day will come, fewer and fewer can only pay for more and more for so long.

  15. one of the problems Greece has is a huge underground economy, so guess were the USA’s economy is headed, wonder if Nobama (or would that be V Jerrit) thought this one through

  16. Even had those employers followed the law and announced the layoffs in front of the election, I don’t think it would have mattered. Couple of hundred thousand lost votes? Big deal. Stole that many in Fla alone. What I get upset with is the lefties saying “come on Republicans, you lost, get over it and work together”. So the question to them is…What would you be saying now if Mitt Romney had won? How much hate these people have deep in their souls is just depressing. One friend I have (for now at least) posted on FB, the quote above, and in the next breath is “Grow up Republicans and leave your biases at the door…” Geezus. The hypocrisy escapes them completely. And then a post quoting the Dalai Lama. I shake my head until it hurts.

  17. James @ 2:22
If you were at all with current events, you’d address us not as bitches, but ‘mitches’. No, that has nothing to do with graduating from MIT, it apparently has something to do with rooting for a guy named Mitch.

  18. I think I’ve seen this movie before.
A good looking man, speaks well, promises you the world, but once you get him home……’Voting for Mr.Goodbar’.

  19. Sorry. But, on the up side, I bet Canada will be receptive to all the business that want to move to escape the tax hell.
To me, this just makes no sense. I cannot believe Obama won.
I’d say “Screw ’em” but the people who voted for Obama don’t give a sh*t about economics or taxes or jobs. They just want their free government cheese and birth control pills. What do they care if a family like me can’t pay our bills because my husband can’t find a job that pays more than $8/hour for 28 hours a week? They’re okay with living marginally in squalor so we should be, too.
Honestly and truly this is bull. And a disaster for America. We’d better run some damn strong candidates in 2014 and 2016 or we’ll really be screwed.

  20. “I bet Canada will be receptive to all the business that want to move to escape the tax hell.” I was wondering if some businesses would recognize the opportunity to escape to Canada with decently low taxes for Corporations. It would not surprise me if some did.

  21. And so it begins.
Let us remove ourselves from this decaying carcass.
And let us hope that all of those who gleefully voted for Obama freeze this Christmas.
    God bless us, everyone.
Everyone knew what an Obama re-election would mean. It meant this.
