On this day in 1793, Marie Antoinette lost her head to a sharp guillotine blade. Here’s a video remembrance of her. If that’s a little too morbid for your taste, here’s a slideshow of a beautiful part of North Vancouver that yours truly put together a week ago.

  8. Thanks, Peter. Most of the photos are rendered in special “HDR” software that, in my case, takes 3 original raw photos. I’m still very much in the learning stage with it but so far really like the results.

  9. Great slideshow Robert. We always enjoy looking around Vancouver Island for a few days and during stops along the highways when visiting our son in Chilliwack. You captured the beauty of the forests and mountains.
    I did not enjoy the video clip of the execution of Marie Antoinette so much. It reminded me of the execution of Nicholas II and his family.

    My Grandfather was born in France. He died in Saskatchewan 1935, always having been in favour of the French revolution.

    Obamao, for two weeks, sent out all his henchmen, and Rice especially, to pound away, that it was a cheesy youtube video, that nobody had heard of, and had been released for several months already, that was the cause of the Benghazi attack.
    He specifically avoided using the word terrorism all that time.
    And now he’s trying to say “oh yeah? I said it the day after.”
