3. I heard bits and pieces of Condoleeza Rice, Susanna Martinez ( gov. of NM ) and Paul Ryan.
   The passion of Rice for the ticket was shocking, and her address was delivered from notes, NOT A TELE PROMPT ER.
   Susanna Martinez was excellent, and Ryan launched a heck of a message. If Obama and Occupy had any sense, they would be deeply worried. This ticket looks to be a killing machine.
   When you see the obvious intelligence and sincerity of the Republicans, you realize that saying the Democrats have a weak bench is to wildly exaggerate their quality. They have nothing.

5. Absolutlely incredible speech by Ryan. Incredible.
   Point by point, a devastating critique of Obama. A critique that was not personal but professional, ie, not one word about Obama as a person (his narcissism, his golf, his handing all policy devt to others, his rejection of Congress, his czars, his lies, his apocalyptic threats…)..
   But professional criticism: an empty set of promises, the debt, the lack of jobs, …
   And an outline of support for small businesses, by reducing taxes and regulations…
   A reminder of the American Dream where anyone who works hard has a chance to achieve a dream.
   That rights come not from government but from Nature and God.
   And more on ‘you DID build that business’..and asking why the Obama govt was against success.
   Oh, and a great line, describing the Obama regime as “a country where everything is free but us”.
   And..college students, graduates but no job, staring at their fading pictures of Obama..ie, that the Obama years are old and in the past.
   Incredible. [Watched Chris Matthews desperately trying to denigrate and smear it…}.

   Ryan took Medicare away from the Democrats and made it a Republican Program, he correctly made the connection that Obama Care steals money from Medicare (720B & counting) and the Democrats eventually plan to destroy the existing Medicare Program by stealing every dollar in the Trust. The Democrats have been caught lying to the American People..
   Canadians should understand that the American Payroll style of Medicare, for those over 65, is NOT required in Canada. Medical care in Canada Covers all ages. It is that universal projection, Gov’t Plan, by the Democrats that puts them in conflict with Medicare, but they won’t admitt the truth.

   Re the convention, I noticed that Andrew Coyne made the cut on Twitchy, saying that there were more minorities on stage than on the floor.
   I dislike that man more and more every day.

    SCC, it wasn’t just Rice’s passion for the ticket. Her passion for the issues she addressed was obvious.
    Pequiste, you have greater concerns closer to home. Like for example, when your hero Marois goes down in flames after offending just one too many of Quebec’s ethic groups. She’s already demonstrated a bit too much of Parizeau’s loose lips, so you’d probably best keep your trap shut about committing suicide.

    If conservatives committed mass suicide it may make you, and other free loading leftist trash, very happy. But only for the short term. Without conservatives, who mostly work for a living and have careers that aren’t provided by the government, there would be far less people paying taxes to support parasitic provinces like Quebec and keeping NDP supporting morons awash in welfare payments.
    Not to mention, who would work those tough jobs like police, paramedics, and soldiers to create a safe and secure nation for you to live off of? Weak and worthless lefties won’t work in dangerous careers protecting others since that would be considered “beneath” them. People like you are kept free and safe because better people than you work to keep you that way.
    So before you wish death on others consider that those people provide you with something that you are unable and unwilling to provide for yourself.
