    What’s different now is that they’re being watched, like they’ve watched everyone else since the beginning of time … and they don’t like it!

  10. Here’s an interesting story, supposedly defending George Zimmerman.
    But notice that the Reuters reporter (or their editor) continued to use the term “white Hispanic”. As others have pointed out, that term has barely been used in the history of the printed word. So what’s the point of using it now? Fact is, we all know why they’re using it … and its inclusion is despicable.

  17. Re: Hip surgery.
    Probably a reaction to the anesthetic. I had an accident a few years ago, they gave me Demerol for a week or so until I recovered . When I left the hospital, it took a week before I could walk straight, my head was a mess, I was loaded to the gills. Must say, it was rather “funny.”

  19. I don’t know about the anasthetic, but I do remember, having been badly wounded on the job and hospitalized for a number of weeks…..the morphine.
    Great big pink fluffy clouds of euphoria. I was the happiest guy on the planet, and laughed a lot as I recall.
    After about a week I asked my doctor to take me completely off of it, on the basis that I was just loving it waaaaaay too much.
    His response was that if I didn’t take it anymore the pain would be unbearable. He was almost right; the pain was in fact extremely unpleasant but bearable most days. And I was right to avoid the drug.
    Experiencing a bit of pain trumps being an opiate addict.

  20. I suspect that the endless laughter is most likely secondary to a small stroke that occurred during the hip surgery.
    Getting onto David Thompson’s site was not something that I needed as, scrolling down a bit, ran into an article on DIY drones, most of which are quad-copters. I have an unexpected week off (poor planning in switching shifts on my part) and the last possible site I needed to go to was:

    One can buy an Arducopter kit for only about $900 and there are a lot of lower cost drone designs around. All of the interesting designs are totally open source in terms of both hardware and software and can’t wait to start playing with them. Solves the problem of wheeled robots getting over obstacles. Now need to check payload capacity to determine if a remote controlled quadcopter would be able to bring a beer to me in the garden this summer without my having to go to the house to fetch it. If you have to ask why!, you’re likely not male.

    The answer to the roving sperm collectors is very simple. The incidence HIV Aids in african men is more likely then not. Women are charged with having large families to take care of them and the high mortality rate means you need lots of babies.
    If you wanted sperm to fulfill your obligations to your culture and retirement, you wouldn’t want local either.

  29. Agree with Loki, the man’s inappropriate laughter post surgery is probably due to a small stroke. I’ve seen one other case of an individual showing very inappropriate laughter which arose after a head injury.
    paul: loved the clip. It’s obvious the audience could identify with it. (I’m assuming it was in front of a live audience, not laugh-tracked).

  30. So now it comes out that Zimmerman was attacked from behind, had a bleeding head wound and a broken nose. The media party are disgusting pieces of crap. This is so blatant.

    in fact in living colour was taken off the air because the wayens brothers were to harsh towards blacks said the coalition of black americans or some other busy body victom group yet it was one of the funniest tv shows i ever watched!!

    Somewhere earlier this morning I came across something about the two pix used for the dead black guy and Zimmerman.
    The dead black guy, much younger. Zimmerman too: a 7-year old MUG SHOT.
    Oh, and the screaming on the 911 tape was … Zimmerman.

  38. I did 7 random tests of the ‘vote compass’.
    weighing the results on a 4-3-2-1 basis,I got the following results;
    Lib – 22
    PC – 19
    WR – 13
    NPD – 13
    And that doesn’t mean much. It appears that the WR and NPD are the ‘radical’ parties,while the others are given the central ground. Considering this so-called ‘tool’ is devised by the university crowd aided by the cbc elite,add in the direction that Alison (my aim is left)Redford is throwing,and that’s not too bad.
    Then again,I could be wrong.

    WHAT a guy Andrew was. And the world will never be the same again because of this flawed—like all of us—but mega-courageous and beautiful hero.

    In this recording, it sounds like the congregation is in procession or moving in the church to receive communion.
    At the end, in the repeat of “Give rest, O Christ . . .” the basses—if they can!—drop the octave: it’s spine tingling to hear. The basses here sort of do it.
