  1. Pssstt…fiddle….cows also take bribes…they’ll run over the top of ya to get at a pail of grain. True enough about them being liars and having a person look here, there and everywhere for the calf.
    Kate draws a cartoon…
Some comment on the art work…
    Farmers talk cows…
Those with the alphabet after their names talk science…
And Peter gives us the lowdown on the weather.
There is no other blog like SDA anywhere! And many thanks to Kate for having something for us all!

  2. No, just illustrating the changes in store for mankind if cows ever get the bomb. Sheesh.

    Such deep thought..
    I wooda never guessed..
I just hope the fark’n sheep don’t get the bomb!

  3. As a child I would watch the cow jump over the moon daily on TV. Only later was I informed that it was all shot in studio. I guess the talking giraffe and chicken should have given it away sooner. *sigh*
On the other hand if you look closely at the animals on the far right and the far left they seem to male appendages instead of udders. This should release Trollex to spread his own particular brand of el Toro poo poo.

  4. Damn , i’m tryin to find a cheaper housekeeper , but i’d need a housekeeper to clean up behind the housekeeper .

  5. Mike L….E=MC^2….
ENERGY is equal to the mass x the speed of LIGHT squared. Now mayhaps if we took the square root of E/M…then we get C.
And no….them little neutrino’s are not faster than C. Somebody forgot to take in the time difference between the measuring satellites over 700+ kms. See WUWT for more.
Great cartoon Kate. Ya know, there’s big bucks in syndicated comics!

  6. I’d venture that the one cow sees things in a different light… instead of following the herd mentality.
    just my thought.

  7. Socialism starts when your own grass runs out and you start eyeing up what grows nice and green on the other side of the fenceline.

  8. E=MC^2
Is the formula which calculates the result of splitting an atom….nuclear fission…when an atom splits…it ceases to be matter…
Energy produced = Mass destroyed X the speed of light…squared.
Not withstanding recent calculations/confusions re the speed of light or neutrinos…
The formula E=MC^2 has been disproved..sort of…decades back….that is if you used this formula your 2 megatom bomb is only 2.999 megatons….or is it 2.001 megatons….
IOW….irrelevant except on a narrow theroetical level. On a practical level duck and cover is still a wise policy.
Also on a practical level, improving the efficiency of a nuclear weapon….having more of the fissionable material to actually react/fission is the key to minuturizing it to reduce the weight and bulk of the payload of a ballistic missile.
Minuturization has practical limits….below a certain size….reliability is a problem…a certain size is necessary to achieve a critical mass. IOW don’t expect any nuclear hand grenades…….

  9. Radio-active leak at a nuclear power plant, you say?
I dunno, I’d be looking at Springfield!
That Montgomery Burns runs a pretty loose ship, and with the likes of Lenny and Carl, well who knows what could happen?
Burns would probably blame Homer, and fire him on the spot for his ineptitude!
Geez! it’s guys like him that keep our world turning and the economy humming….at least that’s the position the big unions take.

  10. Wait a minute! We’ve been eating grass!

    The eyebrow brings it together.
Re: the radiation…I wish I had the bliss that goes along with the ignorance evident in the comments at the article. Nirvana at last.

  11. “The formula E=MC^2 has been disproved..sort of…decades back”
Since no units of measurement are ever ascribed to E and m it is bang on. Essentially it means mass times a very large number equals an amount of energy, presumably extremely large.

  12. A young bull and an old bull are standing on a hill looking down at the cowherd.
The young bull says “lets run down and get one!”
The old bull says “Naw, lets walk down and get them all”.

  13. As a dairy farmer I look at cows just as I do my left wing friends, with the difference being that the cows look at me when I speak and appear to have a better comprehension.

  14. COW POETRY
The distant hills call to me.
Their rolling waves seduce my heart.
Oh, how I want to graze in their lush valleys.
Oh, how I want to run down their green slopes.
    Alas, I cannot.
    Damn the electric fence!
    Damn the electric fence!

  15. Beaver chewing on the wooden leg of a lumberjack: Hey, they’re edible. This changes everything. (Gary Larson, again.)

  16. The speed of light was determined by Einstein. There is no way to measure the speed of light so we have to believe it the formula. There can be no way it can be proven to travel at 186,000 miles per second. There are many things in the world we believe in science and religion that we cant prove, however, we believe….its called faith.
Why is the thinking bull the only one with his head raised and looking to the West…..strange indeed.

  17. Should’nt he be looking East if the balance of power is shifting to China. Or maybe he is an eastern cow looking towards Western Canada where the power is going to be in the future.

Where were you when they taught about the Michelson-Morely experiment in high-school physics, out behind the bleachers smoking a joint?
It’s one of the classic pieces of experimental physics, and one that you could replicate yourself, if you were so inclined.
