  7. Great Cossack horsemanship. The boys learned to ride at about the same time as they learned to walk. They were ruthless to. In 1919, my father in law, at age twelve, and his older sister, age 14, through the window of their house, saw some Kuban Cossacks execute six Bolshevik party member prisoners against a river ravine embankment behind their house, which was located at the end of the village. Their mother heard the shots, cam and pulled them away from the window. He never forgot that sight.
    Watts Up With That has an interesting news item. It seems that wind turbines are more than bird killers. The AGW crowd have a few more bats in their belfry.

  18. Ken (Kulak): I think there was a difference of about 2% in the popular vote but number of seats don’t reflect that.
    These continued increases in the high cost of hydro in a province that encouraged home builders in the late 60s and early 70s to build electrically heated homes is crippling many home owners. Myself included.
    I’d move into a seniors bldg if the Liberal govt would contribute to funding one in this PC voter county. They’ve refused, of course.

    But over in Oakland, California, a pre-existing rat problem in a city plaza has increased because of the protesters camping out there…”
