A more radical solution may be needed: why not offer legal protections to the ugly, as we do with racial, ethnic and religious minorities, women and handicapped individuals?

Yep let’s fire up the gas ovens and get rid of the good looking ones and not just GQ type white males. There are lots of great looking women out there. Whoops there goes Hollywood and Victoria’s Secrets. Sports Illustrated too.
After they are done they should go after those that have got the genetic disposition to be thin since it has been proven that thin people get better jobs, pay, and tables at restaurants too.
Next should be the smart ones even if they are ugly. Same principle. They are making more money then us dummies. Might finally get rid of the hucksters in Wall Street. Heck the smarter ones in our schools are already being held back so the less brainy don’t feel bad. No more Einstein’s or Steve Jobs allowed in our society.
Then the athletic ones should go next. After-all, those couch potatoes are a disadvantaged bunch not making those multi million dollar annual salaries. There goes the NFL season.
Maybe the next category should be the ambitious ones. Can’t have them making the mentally lazy look bad. Donald Trump is a bad boy. Too much arrogance too. Bad. Bad.
Then they could close off by eliminating those of us who are healthy. After all being able to think clearly and work effectively when there are no mental or physical aliments to sidetrack us puts us ahead of those who can’t.
Actually that won’t be the final step. The left already supports abortions well past the first trimester. So in the grand scheme of things, what would the tiny step be of making sure those in the womb that had the genetic markers of being smart, healthy, athletic and good looking didn’t make it into this world.
Well that probably won’t happen as a lot of doctors I know are rich, smart, athletic, ambitious and usually good looking enough to qualify for not being allowed to exist in the progressive regime Hamermesh is proposing.
Ok I got carried away and exaggerated a bit.
I think I illustrated that the Hamermesh’s of the world rationales will not just stop at the ugly judgement as there are many more mistakes of evolution for them to rectify in the name of social justice.
So I wonder what the Hollywood A-listers will say when they are told that they will have to share their big pay checks with those extras and the gaffers that couldn’t make it to in front of the camera because they are ugly. Wonder what George Soros will say when he has to share his money with the eventually to be identified and protected stupid and lazy.
