Of course I’m biased. But Mansbridge, to his credit, did try and hammer Harper yesterday. It’s not that Mansbridge’s offense was stronger.. but Iggy and Harper and not in the same league defensively. Harper is used to being relentlessly attacked by the CBC while the Count was expecting the usual cheerleading. Mansbridge pressed Harper yesterday too – but Harper just handled it better. And against the Count, Mansbridge had home ice advantage. Dropping the gloves at centre ice took away the studio advantage yesterday.
So people are actually angry with Mansbridge and are thus overtly admitting that they expect the CBC to cheerlead for the Liberal party and are angered when things go horribly wrong…

I watched and listened to the video clip of the Mansbridge interview, and went back over it a number of times. What struck me was how COLD Ignatieff was, and how eager he was to portray himself as a victim of the ruthless Harper Tories.
Then, I switched on the TV and saw his Liberal ads, which, as Mansbridge had said, promote FEAR.
The Liberals are the ones who are instigating a potentially destabilizing constitutional crisis in this country. The Liberals are the ones with a secret agenda.

Me too, Ignatieff wasn’t behaving like it was an interview, more like an infomercial. He even smiled differently.. and his botox/makeup was extreme. It was pathetic and his fans are raging.

Mansbridge and Murphy are the most objective and professional of the CBC news herd. Peter gave good interviews for all the leaders. I enjoyed watching Iggy waffle and squirm.
