  1. Was he channeling Bela Lugosi at the beginning?
I mean I know the man looks like Dracula, but wow!

  2. The vacuous channeling of a Baptist preacher, from an Elitist aristocrat semi-Canadian socialist Liberal. It doesn’t get any worse than that! Someone knows he’s headed back to Harvard. CPC majority here we come.

  3. Harvard must be proud. Don’t worry, Mikey boy, you’ll be back there for fall semester. Maybe Bozo will give you a job in his cabinbet and then you can return to the faculty lounge together in November of 2012.

  4. Do we mean this Iffy? Now beware the source as it is a posting on the G&M!

Ignatieff comments on his book, Blood and Belonging.
“Somewhere inside I’m also what Ukrainians would call a great Russian and there is just a trace of old Russian disdain for these little Russians. ” – Michael Ignatieff

  5. It’s OK. The Count is practising for his Viagra Commercial after the election err erection.

  6. When rather cold, unemotional types simulate emotion the results are apt to be either funny or embarrassing.
PMSH gets it right – his expressions of enthusiasm don’t traduce what he really is – a man who is ruled by his
    head.

  7. Someone call the cops there is a foreigner trying incite an uprising on our streets in Canada.

  8. Such passion! Such patriotism! Such urgency! I expect there will be mobs roaming the streets with axes and torches any moment now. By the look of his enthusiastic crowd, some will be using walkers and wheel chairs, but what the hell… A mob is a mob.

  9. “Someone call the cops there is a foreigner trying incite an uprising on our streets in Canada.”

Yes,and he has been seen awkwardly holding an axe.

  10. I like it Elmer Fudd style… “wise up, wise up, wise up, Canada yew wascawey wabbit yew, this goes bewond the wibbewel pawty, wise up.”
    Aww the best Wed Jeff

  11. They HAD to stand. Sitting still for hour , being droned on by a Castro wannabe – bum num, num bum.

  12. His characterization of “our country” makes me want to gag. Yes, aristocrat, it’s been “our” country these last 28 years while you were out, giving it nary a thought. You’re johnny-come-lately, m. effeminate dandy.
And there’s nothing more laughable than watching someone with no charisma trying to fake like they do.
    Embarrassing.

  13. What is coming across there is frustration. He cannot undersatnd why all of these peasants don’t see things the way he does.
They have thrown almost everything and the polls havent really moved….well actually not true, they have moved, NDP steps are heard over Iggy’s shoulder.
Angry never wins elections, mind you they never wanted to win they just are trying to hold it to a tie. So we will see what happens. I have heard numerous people saying they are tired of this and they will vote con just to end the silly cycle.
3 seats in Newf (no cange in rest of atlantic canada)
2 new ones in quebec (rural)
    6 in Ontario
3 at least, Manitobia and West.
Its going to be tight to stop us going into another cycle of games.
Liberals may need to start signalling that they will form a coalition and that there will be 3 years of stable government. Thats the burn the furniture scenario for them. They may even need to promise Prime Minister Layton….thats the coalitions only hope, and the Cons biggest threat and opportunity at the same time.

  14. You know, maybe we are being too hard on this fellow, and it is time to take the high road

    I,for one,will try to make his life easier,so I sent this link to – Ignatieff.M@parl.gc.ca ,- http://www.boston-real-estate.com/

. If we all take a little time to help,we can make Canada a better place, and give his wife something to do while she’s waiting for Mike to rise up.

  15. Giv’er Iggs! From the Justin Trudeau school of emoting – just brudal dude! I bet it would have worked if he wore a cape maybe.

**But look at the article You would think that CTV would know that a high profile former BC NDP’r is a Liberal MP for Vancouver South & Only Defeated the Conservative Canidate after a recount by only 20votes in 2008?
Or is this mistake on purpose?
Or did Ujjal Dosanjh cross the floor & has not told them yet?
“The Liberals hope to steal seats from the Conservatives in both the Edmonton Centre riding formerly held by Liberal MP Anne McLellan, and in Vancouver South, where the Liberal candidate lost by just 20 votes to Conservative MP Ujjal Dosanjh in 2008.”

  17. .
    .
Is this guy a snake charmer? Is his audience deaf? Is the LP-of-Canada record stuck? Brain-soiling via-agra-vated stuttered, studdered assault?
    Looks/sounds like UNcharm to me.
    .
    .

  18. Was that an attempt at the second coming of Jesus?
Sorry Iggy, Obamba beat you to it, even got the Nobel Peace Prize as proof.
The audience looked confused; it took them awhile probably by queue card to realize they needed to stand up. Very scary……..

  19. The Iggster couldn’t say “Wise up, Canada!” so he shouted out the next best thing: “Rise up, Canada!”
    O.M.G.
This might have worked if his usual modus operandi was that of a street preacher, but given that his usual modus operandi is as dead as a piece of bleached-out driftwood, it’s worse than embarrassing.
    The Liberal$ are desperate.

  20. Maybe he could get some traction if he went skipping around the neighborhood, proclaiming what a wonderful day it is. Hopping over trashcans and mailbox’s and such. Yelling rise up in a half hearted manor doesn’t work.

  21. Gotta laugh at Iggy’s push lately to paint Harper as a “stasi”, who is going to take Canadians freedoms & Liberties.
Hey Iggy, who is enforcing the farcical gun registry and who is trying to abolish it?
There in a nutshell is the hallmark of tyranny you stupid putz.

  22. Judging by the crowd behind Iggy it will take a truck load of Viagra to do the job.

  23. Rise up and do what? Pad Iffy’s resume with prime ministership.
Political clowns are not funny anymore. They are dangerous.

  24. Knight 99; What I find much more troubling is Ignatieff’s BS line that PMSH is against democracy.

Ignatieff and his stooges have taken away the possibility of another minority Conservative gov’t. We can have a Conservative majority,a Liberal minority,or a Liberal led coalition gov’t.

Ignatieff is doing an end run around democracy and is willing to sacrifice the votes of English Canada for his own gain.

  25. I expect Igantieff and Liberals would like AG to dust off and release some of her other reports while she is at it.
Liberals misinformed Parliament about millions spent on gun registry: AG
Last Updated: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 | 4:30 PM ET
2006 Report of the Auditor General of Canada
The former Liberal government misinformed Parliament about millions of dollars in expenses incurred by the gun registry, Auditor General Sheila Fraser said.
The largest portion of her latest report to Ottawa focused on how the government twice failed to properly record tens of millions of dollars worth of overspending at the Canada Firearms Centre.

AG Fraser lambastes Liberals for blowing budget by a billion dollars on registry‏
AG Fraser lambastes Liberals for blowing budget by a billion dollars on registry. When Canada’s auditor general tabled her December 2002 report, she set her sights on Ottawa’s controversial gun registry program.
Sheila Fraser blasted the federal government, run by the Liberals at the time, for exceeding its estimated budget, saying that by the time the smoke cleared and all gun owners and their guns were registered, the program would have cost taxpayers more than $1 billion. Opposition critics were quick to point out that figure is 500 times more than the original $2-million estimate. A look at internal audits conducted by the Canadian Firearms Program suggests the cost of the program has been an issue from the beginning.

  27. Half the time he can’t even look people in the eye. How the hell can you inspire to “rise up” when you’re looking down at the floor all the time.
    Found this quote over at WUWT;
