  4. Trouble in coalition paradise?
    Just heard a NDP spot on the radio stating that Layton is the only hope for beating PMSH in the election. (98.9 Jet FM Vancouver Island)
    I don’t know what to think of this…
    Really I don’t, maybe the pothead welfare sector buys it (psychoactive chemicals and all)

  5. The City of Saskatoon has lost all common sense. A 50,000 dollar study into what BEGGARS think. Who give a rats ass. This on the heals of a 700,000 dollar study called SASKATOON SPEAKS. A tax revolt is needed. Not one snow removal truck on my street all winter but the city has money for this. F the left wing loon mayor and city council. 10 years of Don Atchison and a 30 percent increase in taxes. Another 10 years and the 4 percent he raised taxes in 2011 and your taxes will double. Don Atchison can’t spend tax dollars fast enough these days. Charlie Clarke, Darrin Hill, Pat Lorje and any other left wing loon have got to go. Call Theresa Dust, the city solicitor and tell her what you think. This stupidity has to end.

  6. Amazing how the press doesn’t care about the ethics of Liberal candidates. The Liberal candidate for Oak Ridges/Markham Ontario, Lui Temelkovski, is running with signs asking for people to “re-elect” him. Funny thing that a Conservative, Paul Calandra is the current MP for the riding.

  7. I can think of a number of garden-destroying groundhogs and deer that need to meet up with a suitable caliber Barnes round. Last spring, I worked my butt off putting in a veggie garden and as soon as the stuff had grown a few inches high, three deer came along very early one AM and ate it all right down to ground level. B*st*rds! 🙁
    (So much for that expensive predator’s urine repellant for gardens. I put down two large containers worth around the entire garden perimeter. The damn deer apparently didn’t even notice the stuff.)

    Thanks for essentially Fisking the non-event, but the damage was done and being done on a wholesale lot it is. I expected that the MSM would be biased as heck but every once and a while, even they amaze me.

    I think I can make a helpful suggestion. A few years ago the coyotes started getting too cocky. I shot one in the yard, and left the corpse on the burning pile for a day or two. That seemed to be a smell that they understood. So, I kill one every year or so, and they stay away.
    Don’t underestimate coyotes, or even deer, they’re smart in their own environment. You just have to get in their heads…

  13. The varmint grenade looks like a versatile round. Not only does it make instant fruit juice, it can turn gophers into pate in the blink of an eye. BTW, the gophers are coming up through the snow in my neck of the woods. It would be a great time to shoot a few hundred, if only I could get into the fields. No fancy rounds for me, though. A 22 costs a fraction of the next cheapest ammo, and the small animal is just as dead.

    The “anti-feminist line” is based on fact, as almost everybody knows. The feminist line does not involve putting forth an argument, or having any connection to reality.
    The Marxist crazy contingent apparently uses “entitlement” as a smear these days (not unlike the old standby “racism”), even though most of them come from literally privileged backgrounds themselves. Maybe all the unearned guilt about their being well-off (thanks to the evil moral code of altruism) made them psychotic.

  25. BC Politics: I received an invitation to attend the NDP leaership meeting in Kelowna. The subject is to be on law and order. I was also asked to submit a question for the leadership debate. Well, I put my questions down. I asked if any of the people running had the “balls” to answer the following questions they would get alot of support from the people of BC.
    1. Will you call for a public inquiry into the sale of BC Rail?
    2. Why did the taxpayers get stuck with the Basse/Birk trial of $6 million plus addition legal expenses?
    3. Why did the government shovel the HST on the taxpayers of BC?
    Well, I highly doubt than these questions will be touched with a ten foot pole.
    Then, out of federal politics, John Cummins steps into provincial politics and announces that he is running for the Conservative leadership of BC. First he said, Having to choose between the Liberals and the NDP is like having the choice between airline food and hospital food, both with substain you but do little else. Then John went on and here was the big bonus. Mr. Cummins came out and said: We need to find out the dealing in the BC Rail sale. Why did the people of BC get stuck with the 6 million legal bill for Basse/Birk trial (BC Rail) and then went after the HST. Hello, are the people of BC listening? I have met John, he stuck his neck out for the people that live on this street, not in his riding either. John paid the price from his boss. This is the one chance we have in BC to get the answers we deserve. Not the same old bunch of Gordon Campbell’s “good old boys club and Lady” (Kristy Clarke)
    I think that the people of BC deserve these answers. I wish John much success in BC!
