This morning the Muslim Brotherhood warned the United States that if the United States meddling in Egypt continued, they intend to cut off America’s supply of 7-11 and Motel 6 managers.
If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell, AT&T and AOL customer service reps.
Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more presidents either. It’s gonna get ugly.

Pirates kill four U.S. hostages near Somalia
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/22/us-somalia-pirates-usa-idUSTRE71L3JP20110222
First a disclaimer, me knows nothing.
Let us see now,
A bunch of kids as they call junior teenagers got hired by bad guys. From experience one can say that it is an adventure to go and do risky things for a young man. Then you have young men, that don’t know all that much and then you have those that by no fault of their own know somewhat less than noting about the world. There was a chance to make some extra cash. With the prospect of a Somali youth making it in the world being slim and none, you take the opportunity.
Illegality is pretty high concept to grasp when you have not seen or heard what is right and what is wrong. It is also true that there is certain inner self or some such that, if you listen, it will tell you that there are things that are wrong and other things that are right.
Now, to kill someone is a major big deal, you have to be low, slither in the dust (no disrespect to snakes), to do something like that.
Some said (on O’Reily) that the juniors panicked and ended up killing people.
Remember their prospects in Somalia. Now let’s see what is likely to happen.
First, as soon as tomorrow it will be the US NAVY’s fault.
Next, those pirates that survived are going to the US with legal protection, free legal defense, free meals a warm bed, with the inconvenience of having to be rather stay inside. Will learn english for free, will remain in the US after they finished serving the penalty, will be sorry for what they have done and will be welcome as silly, otherwise nice people by segment of Americans.
What would be, for the Somalis, the down side?

“Embracing Gaddafi was Canada’s shame”
“The Liberal government knew Gaddafi was unhinged when it started playing footsy with him. In 1999, economic sanctions were lifted after Libya made two suspects of the Lockerbie bombing available for trial and agreed to pay compensation to the victims’ families. By 2004, prime minister Paul Martin was in Libya breaking bread with the old pariah in his tent in the desert, while two camels mated noisily outside.
Mr. Martin tried to rationalize his visit to Tripoli, claiming it was about rewarding Gaddafi for a “fundamental shift in position” away from terror and toward the league of nations.
In reality, it was a trade mission to make the case for Canadian companies, just as Libya was getting ready to fling open its doors to foreign investment in its oil industry. The scramble for North African oil saw more than 40 companies flood into Libya, including BP, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch Shell and Canada’s Petro-Can. As the oil industry flooded Libya with petro-dollars, the Gaddafi regime bought jet aircraft, machinery and wheat from Canada. SNC Lavalin, the Canadian engineering giant, has since been awarded a $450-million contract to develop part of a water system that will transport potable water from the southern Libyan desert to the Mediterranean coast. In trade terms, Mr. Martin’s gambit was a complete success — bilateral trade has risen from zero in 2006 to nearly $300-million.
Canada and other Western countries, including (unforgivably) Britain, ignored the fact that the man whose government was reaping the benefits of all this commerce once ordered that a bomb be put on a PanAm airliner that blew up over Lockerbie — still the worst act of mass murder in British history.
Mr. Martin claimed he understood what had happened in the past but I don’t think he did. If he had, he wouldn’t have sat grinning in Gaddafi’s tent without wanting to send him to meet his maker.
Anyone who was in south-west Scotland the night Flight 103 came down, as I was, could tell him what really happened. Two hundred and seventy people were murdered, including two Canadians and 11 on the ground in Lockerbie. My late father, the director of the local water utility, drove through the still-smouldering town the next morning and watched young soldiers pick body parts off the street. I went home in 1998 for the 10th anniversary of the disaster and found many people still fighting demons. Bill Parr, a man who had worked with my father but who was afflicted by nightmares for years afterward, told me how he’d found three seats in which two young girls and a man were wrapped around one another. The girls had their eyes wide open and their fingers were tightly crossed. What did we expect from someone capable of that kind of atrocity?”

If he wants it, he shall pay.
Unfortunatly, the bluenosers down here are still in “we want” mode after seeing a real skating oval (outdoor) and hearing Quebec talking like they already have the government coughing up for their arena.
First of all, nobody equates government paying for these toys to Joe taxpayer paying for them. Secondly, no doubt they will insist on locating it right downtown on the peninsula where land and building costs are overpriced and available parking is already non-existent. Now it might be an option if there was light rail or subway to be ably to move large quantities of folks on or out, but Halifax sadly lacks decent public transportation and the capacity.

“Spanish newspaper: Europe got Muslims for Jews
A Spanish Newspaper
Posted on 11/30/2005 4:27:58 PM PST by Fish Hunter
This is a translation of an article from a Spanish newspaper.
The truth must be told! All European life died in Auschwitz
By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez*
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.
The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned. And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.
They have turned our beautiful European cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.
And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition.
We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for hoping for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.
What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.
* This is a summary of an article recently printed in a Spanish newspaper, but it applies to most countries of western Europe.”

Most Canadians back conservative plan for more prisons: poll
http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/politics/Most+Canadians+back+Conservative+plan+more+prisons+poll/4328311/story.html
OTTAWA — A majority of Canadians support the Conservatives’ costly prison expansion plan but think the government should be compelled to provide the estimated price tag for its entire law-and-order agenda, according to the results of a new poll.
Fifty-seven per cent of those surveyed said the prison expansion program, estimated to cost at least $2-billion, is a worthwhile initiative, while 43% said it is unaffordable. Those results will take some wind out of the sails of the opposition parties who argue that Canadians don’t want bigger jails and the government is wasting money at a time when the country has a massive deficit.
But when it comes to calling on the government to disclose all estimated costs for crime-related legislation, Canadians are clearly on the side of the Liberals, NDP and Bloc Quebecois. Eighty-two% said the government should be compelled to release the figures. Eighteen per cent said they should be kept secret if the government says they should be.

I’m not anti-commerce, but you know what would be nice? If they put a limit on the number of Web advertisers on each page because they have become so prolific that they are choking the communications channels.
For example, instead of allowing 65 billion, 700 million, 527 thousand (65,700,527,000) advertisers to post on a single Web page, how about our Web masters limiting it to only 197 thousand, 261 (197,261) advertisements per page? Surely, that number wouldn’t be stifling the free market in any way would it?
