  1. Thanks Kate. Right on the money. I might add that if any Canadian for moral reasons ever tried to “turn in” a spy, the loony left would crucify them

  2. But if you believe Hollywood (and this is the part of American Imperialist Culture that an ignorant Canadian leftist will swallow wholesale, otherwise they turn uo their noses and sneer) any such thought of this is “McCarthyism” and we all know what a huge waste of time that was. /sarc
Just imagine, without McCarthy, the sexual revolution and leftist infiltration of the schools would have happened in the 50’s.
Why, look at the wonders the sexual revolution did in Germany!

  3. I like your use of the adjective “sneering” as it perfectly summarizes the spoiled brat denialism in the smug left.
Let’s also note that Fadden emphasizes that these malevolent foreign agent provocateurs attempt to influence government policy and public opinion through NGOs and Media.
I wonder how many of the most influential NGOs and media (CBC/Star) could stand a closer look by CSIS?

  4. In 2006 Politicians attending the pro Palestinian ant-Israeli Montreal rally included Liberal MP Denis Coderre, who represents a downtown Montreal riding and is a supporter of now Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff, as well as Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe and Parti Quebecois leader Andre Boisclair, and if memory serves, Taliban Jack Layton also marched under the Hezbollah flag.
Why is Fadden now pilloried by the current MSM on the spy info?
    Curious.

  5. How is it that a guy who knows, serves the government of the country and presents the findings of the organization that is supposed to do precisely that, is damned for doing his job.
You have to remember that “journalists” do not present news they present opinion. As everyone knows they live in their own sand castle and have no contact with real world. They will have an incestuous relationship with the politicians.
Politicians, they will suck up to anyone that will give them a vote. They will go with the flow. They will have an incestuous relationship with the “journalist”.
And so we have damnation of services they ask for by the politicians and “journalists”

  6. Joe Molnar, those you mention are either willing tools or active participants and their sneering confirms their culpability. A leftist always works to destroy his or her country.
BTW, that Der Speigel article shows to what extent the left will go to subvert society. This is to be expected from the NDP, but the post-classical liberals have bought into this.

  7. Fadden testifies on Monday. We will see
    1) How the committee treats him, will Pat Martin call im some kind of name
    2) Will fadden back down, back off or modify
    3) Will there be anymore info, he made it clear that he wasnt discussing Fed politicians just some prov and muni’s….and he never said that they were born in the ol country and kept the attachment….he said there were some who had received funding, trips and education from these countries….so why assume they had to be born there.
    Monday will be interesting

  8. Why spy on Canada?
Many passing advantages industrial and military are at first glance pedestrian.
In the past a simple inovation, a stirrup, learned from the Hunns and adopted by the Franks changed history as much as Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
To those ignorant of this piece of historical trivia. The stirrup allowed the rider more leverage to use a spear or sword from the saddle and made him much more difficult to unhorse.
It’s influence on the Battle of Tours allowed Charles Martel to soundly defeat invading Moors despite a numerical inferiority estimated as high as 4-1. Note I am somewhat suspicious of the odds…victors writing history ya know.
Besides interdicting the invasion of Europe by the Muslims….it instituted feudalism….the manner of financially supporting a mounted warrior to devote his energies primarilly to warfare.
A technique improving cold forging can have vast implications. The hammer forged barrel of the Canadian C7 rifle (the most durable globally) is an excellant example.

  9. I bet if he had said that they were influencing Stephen Harper or any other Tory, we would find the left and their media cohorts would be championing the guy!
Makes one wonder just how close to potentially fingering some of the left he really is.

“Jean Chretien and the Sidewinder Report ****
Many Canadians will remember Jean Chretien’s frequent trips to China. Andre Desmarais sits on the board of Peoples’ Republic of China’s China International Trust and Investment Corporation.

  11. The first comment, by melwilde, and -connect the dots to the latest one- by Alberta Girl, sum it up pretty neatly.

  12. The level of interception and PNGing is proportional to whether we have a “friendly to our enemies ideology” government in power, or not.
If one man can become Prime Minister and order his file destroyed and set in motion the destruction of that organization? Care to bet a dollar on what else went astray? It’s only classified to keep us from getting PO’d at them.

  13. Everyone who lives in B.C. knows full well that BC has sold out to China with the full support of non-Chinese politicians.

  14. The rise of the hyphenated Canadian is in no small part to blame. Once we were encouraged to be from somewhere else (we all are immigrants, you know) it easily led to mixed allegiances.
Just look at the flags being flown on cars during the World Cup — foreign countries easily outnumber the Canadian flags, even on Canada Day.

  15. Economic spying is bigger internationally today, than it ever was during the cold war for military secrets.

  16. I’m inclined to support anyone who upsets LIberals.
Moreso if it’s from speaking the truth.
    Stay the course Mr. Fadden.

  17. Thanks for the link to the Sidewinder Report Maz2. For people who wish to educate themselves about our former Liberano Prime Ministers and their pinko pals; this is a good place to start. PET (turdo) was well documented by the Canadian Intelligence Services, they knew all about him and they published pamphlets that people could purchase – a fiend of mine was a subscriber and was kind enough to lend me the pamphlets to read – they are SHOCKING, as is the Sidewinder Report. If a hick like me, living in the Yukon in the 1970s, could access these papers, the msm could have accessed them too. The msm were collaborating with the bad guys, IMO. IMO the msm are still on the ‘other’ (dark) side.
This hearing will be interesting – does anyone know what time it will air on CPAC?

  18. Liberal party dogmas are lies in motion. THey live the big lie so anyone who presents a revaltion based in reality will be demonized.
The lie must prevail – it makes us feel safe and cared for.

  19. 2) Will fadden back down, back off or modify
Didn’t he publicly back down after Gordon Campbell lambasted him for his “irresponsible remarks”.
And if so, isn’t he just another pencil-pushing supernumerary. Does CSIS have ANY credibility whatsoever, or it a clown “intelligence” agency?

  20. Yup, Jema 54 and maz2, Sidewinder, involving the Liberal government:
From the link, Mackenzie Institute report, “Richard Fadden Had it Right: Have foreign governments infiltrated Canadian politics?”
“Does anyone remember what happened to our diplomat Brian McAdam or RCMP Corporal Robert Read for trying to report on Chinese influence operations in Canada during the 1990s? The Sidewinder Report got scrubbed when it was still in draft form, but fortunately a few copies of the draft escaped and circulated… it should have kicked off the scandal of the century.”
IT SHOULD HAVE KICKED OFF THE SCANDAL OF THE CENTURY.
No wonder people like Librano cheerleader Jim Travers think that Fadden should go. On no account do Liberal lapdogs want the Canadian public to see how close the Liberal connections are to international skulduggery — to their personal, not Canada’s, benefit.

  21. Wonder if Fadden was talking Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson who met with some very controversial people in New York? People many of us would describe as being of the same radical left that influences the POTUS?

  22. I don’t have a factual basis for knowing whether he’s exaggerating or not (and possibly CSIS and the government doesn’t either since they’re focussed on other counter-intelligence areas), but conceptually it all makes sense.
It dovetails with what I know about the Canadian history, including the events covered in the article, and coming from the head of CSIS, it catches one’s attention, doesn’t it?
Plus politicians telling him to shut up … well, questions have already been raised and it may be too late for that.
    Royal Commission?
