Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Try DogPile for a search engine.

Still nothing at google.ca. “climatega” leads to climate guadalajara, climate guatamala, etc.
Hide the increase
I read yesterday that Al Gore was given a block of Google stock just before it went public.
There couldn’t be any connection could there?
The monkeys have been in charge of the bananas for too long, its time the pendulum swung back in favour of the general public.
I just entered clim at google.com and the suggested
matches list showed climategate as the first entry.
Picking that, Google found 5,430,000 references.
“I just entered clim at google.com and the suggested matches list showed climategate as the first entry.”
same here, but using Google within FireFox’s search box
I’ve switched to bing.
Now I see it. I assumed my searches were directed to google.ca
Yeah, I get nothing at all with google.ca

The news that many Left-wing journalists refuse to cover is now exploding all over the Internet. “Climategate” now gets 10.6 million mentions on Google, even though Google won’t offer the term on its auto-suggest.
The public is not just learning of Climategate, but learning of media censorship as well.

Sorry about the sloppy cut & paste above. I do believe Mr. Bolt must be an avid SDA reader.
Sooooo, the flakes at CBC think they are successfully burying the climategate story (gone viral)
Google ‘ climategate cbc ‘
Up comes a whole slew of results with the guy standing behind a live cbc camera – with a sign;
‘climategate, it won’t go away Report it, CBC’
Oh ! And the very first, of over 12 thousand results is ?? … you guessed it smalldeadanimals.com
“kate mc” has the host at second with over 4 million.
Just FYI
Kate, you have just helped me make a decision.
The other day I posted on my blog about a doctored photo of Michelle Obama which depicted her look as a monkey. While I found the photo offensive, I was glad Google resisted calls to remove it.
The very next day, they removed it.
This runs counter to the fact that Google never censored dehumanizing photos of George Bush. They also actively support censorship efforts in China. Their outrage seems highly selective.
Henceforth, Bing is my new default search engine. Google is no longer my home page. I’ll no longer support the leftists Brin and Page. As soon as I can, I’m using another blogging service.
Google and their Corporate Social Responsibility, Save the Earth communists can kiss my rear.
Their search engine sucks now too. I can’t find anything anymore using it.
Oh, and Yahoo is banned by me too. I’m tired of their left-wing news articles always showing up on my desktop.

Googlegate!
Spread the word.

Bing produces this interesting result: (1) search for ‘climategate’ yields 50,800,000 results; (2) search for ‘climategate’ only from Canada yields 59,800,000 results. Go figure. Canada—larger on its own than when merely part of the world!
Dogpile, a meta-search engine, using google, yahoo, ask and now bing, does not offer ‘climategate’ as a hint. Nor does Ask on its own.
Google.ca does not offer ‘climategate’ as a hint, and produced these results: (1) search the web for ‘climategate’ yields 10,700,000 results; (2) search for ‘climategate’ in pages from Canada only yields 30, 700 results.
Compare with results for Bing posted above. Somebody’s not looking very hard are they?
Kate,
I try to put the destruction of the AGW raw data in some perspective, wherein I conclude:
“In other news, the Vatican decided to throw away the remains of the Holy Grail to make room for a new copy machine.”
I think you’ll like it, here:

Sorry for the double-tap. I blame my notsosmartphone.
media censorship?
Never heard of it.
Having been glued to my computer during most of my free time for the last week I’ve been quite aware of various Google machinations in regard to this issue. While there may be some problems with the Google algorithms with regard to how high search terms are placed in autosuggest (an exceedingly annoying feature for me), it does seem suspicious that “climategate” was present for a few days then suddenly disappeared. Also, the number of results on Google varies widely; at the time of this posting it is 11,400,000 but I saw numbers as low as 140,000 earlier today. Bing, OTOH, has “climategate” come up in the autosuggest every time and the number of results on Bing has been steadily increasing and stands at 50,800,000 a few seconds before I tried the same search on Google. This is certainly curious behavior.
What I find the most damning about Google is what they’ve done to the M4GW “Hide the decline” clip. Despite the large number of viewings, some 260,000 the last time I looked, it does not appear in the most viewed videos list. Not only that, but if one looks at every other parameters that the top rated videos are rated on there is no sign of “hide the decline”. In the category of numbers of comments, the top rated clip had fewer comments than the M4GW clip! Google now owns YouTube and this is blatant censorship at its worst. After seeing this I immediately ditched Google as my primary search engine and switched to Bing. I also detest M$ but as long as Bing doesn’t appear to be deliberately censoring anything that doesn’t fit the warmist list, I’ll continue to use it. It would be interesting to see what would happen to Googles stand on this issue if they had a sudden decrease in traffic with a corresponding increase for Bing as millions of people boycotted them. I do a few hundred search engine lookups/day and if the heaviest internet users switched en-masse we could make a difference.
I think Google just sunk themselves trying to “Hide the decline”!
Lefty pimps,propaganda dissemblers.
Knew they where bad news when they sand boxed Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugged.
Here in the Yukon, we have Northwestel as our only internet provider; I must type in the whole word ‘Climategate’and press ‘search’ to get any results on google.
Kate, this climategate thing has me wondering. If a few corrupt scientists feeding on the Government tit can give us warmingate, what other ‘science’ has been perverted by the same process.
Second-hand smoke comes to mind. I think we need to revisit this ‘science’.
Who knows maybe there never was a ‘gasping gun’.

Anthropological continental drift, is the next terror to hit man. Because the Albertan tar sands are being extracted, the ‘natural’ lubrication of the tectonic plates is being disrupted.
Only by rendering down environmentalists such as Lizzy May, and injecting them into the Canadian Shield, by deep core drilling can we stop this environmental disaster.
I propose we reopen the whaling stations in Hudson Bay for this purpose, we could ship trainloads of greenies, watermelon hats & all, up the polar bear express, thereupon possibly contributing to Canadian polar bears… no wait that’s not really polar bears.
Next we could staple Moe Strong, to the front of the train engine, so as he could get a good view of the various moose he’s apparently worried about, from China…
Hey, could boob ray & the entire CBC staff be sent up there to do a documentary on the subject?
Come on guy’s work with me, I’m on a roll

Just switched browsers. Google gone.
Briann @ 5:37. I can remember driving back from Winnipeg 5-8 years ago and Adler having a segment on second hand smoke. He read off news clips from both WHO and EPA that said there was no evidence and suddenly a year or so later the media was full of the perils of second hand smoke. So who, sometime after the initial reports, fudged the data to make a point that has driven the crusade since then.
Scientists will make the data show whatever the someone wants that is paying the bills. This works both ways.

Here’s a quote for you:
“The fact is we can’t account for the lack of Google functionality at the moment and it’s a travesty that we can’t.”

Odd. I switched to Bing as well given what was reported here and this morning confirmed that climategate was suggested by Bing’s auto-complete. Now (Dec 1, 3:30 pm EST) O find that Bing auto-complete no longer shows climategate!
I shouldn’t be shocked, but I am.
