   Professor Wegman showed how this “community of scientists” published together and peer reviewed each other’s work. I was always suspicious about why peer review was such a big deal. Now all my suspicions are confirmed. The emails reveal how they controlled the process, including manipulating some of the major journals like Science and Nature. We know the editor of the Journal of Climate, Andrew Weaver, was one of the “community”. They organized lists of reviewers when required making sure they gave the editor only favorable names. They threatened to isolate and marginalize one editor who they believed was recalcitrant.
   Total Control
   These people controlled the global weather data used by the IPCC through the joint Hadley and CRU and produced the HadCRUT data. They controlled the IPCC, especially crucial chapters and especially preparation of the Summary for PolicyMakers (SPM). Stephen Schneider was a prime mover there from the earliest reports to the most influential in 2001. They also had a left wing conduit to the New York Times. The emails between Andy Revkin and the community are very revealing and must place his journalistic integrity in serious jeopardy. Of course the IPCC Reports and especially the SPM Reports are the basis for Kyoto and the Copenhagen Accord, but now we know they are based on completely falsified and manipulated data and science. It is no longer a suspicion. Surely this is the death knell for the CRU, the IPCC, Kyoto and Copenhagen and the Carbon Credits shell game.

24. While this should be enough to blow the global warming scam right out of the water, a quick scan of the newspapers and I can find not a single article about any of this. Is it too early. Hopefully, but I wouldn’t be the least surprised if this is greeted by a big yawn by the media.     1) It is complex, as in involving lots of emails to read and clarify. most dont follow the issue closely
    2) If they have been burned once, apparently by buying into this, then they will be skeptical of all sides.
    The one good reslt out of all of this might be the realse of all data, rigourous standards being applied etc etc. If proper science, uncorrupted by this chicanery still shows something then fine…but I have had and continue to have doubts. How in the world did a teleconnection hypothesis even get taken seriously in the place.

    So, it’s especially comforting getting Dr. Ball’s view on this. I’ve been a bit puzzled by the seemingly mild reaction in the blogosphere and was a bit concerned that sda may have gone overboard too quickly. I was also a bit unsure about the ethics of sharing this purloined info but have now come to see that this isn’t PRIVATE correspondence at all. This was secretive FOIA-resistant skullduggery.

    The “terms and conditions” of purchase on “Carbon Credits” has no hold-harmless agreement or indemnification agreement in any of the non-profit organizations that I have viewed.
    Therefore, you have to wonder what the repercussions will be when the house of cards clearly falls. It would fraud, grand larceny, and quite possibly reflect a whole host of potentially applied clauses from the RICO Act.
    That’s just the criminal side of the law. The civil class action suits would dwarf even the tobacco civil suits in size. Essentially, the carbon credit non-profits are hanging out there naked. They, in turn, would attempt to add defendants to spread the liability in amended complaints, which would surely add those individuals who “fudged data,” instituted scare tactics in the form of articles, films and reports…etc…
    If you see where I’m going you will conclude that these folks are no longer trying to “save the planet.” They are only now realizing that they are in a fight to save their own personal wealth and portfolios.

    I had emailed my concern on Novemebr 19th as to the accuracy of the Hadley CRU fudged numbers to two prominent well known and respected Canadian journalists and both have replied indicating they are researching the veracity of the material before they comment.
    In one instance I also cc’d my query about the alleged fraudulent fudged figures to Stephen Harper, Jim Prentice and Jason Kenny.
    I thereby know at the very least all those individuals’ staff must have read the information about the HADLEY CRU corrupt AWG figures.
    Today Kate’s SDA has just posted more damning email links, neither the Canadian MSM nor the government of Canada can deny they NOW know Copenhagen and cap and trade are based on corrupt “scientific information”.

    Yeah one would think but reality is another matter. I seems OBOZO has no intention of attending or Harper either…..that said the organizers will boldly proceed…..they too much invested and sopport already lobbied.
    This is of no consequence to the likes of Boxer, Pelossi, Waxman, Reid or OBOZO….Cap and Trade will be attempted anyway in the face of this….too much political capital is at stake.
    The basic problem is it is not a “Climate Issue” but a political issue.
    For Canada, failure to go along with the hoax if the US does the Cap and Tax thing—would amount to a non-tariff barrier—only overcome by opening the switches and closing the valves.

    I may have inadvertently had a hand in this millennium graph! I recall getting a fax from
    Jack with a hand-drawn graph, that he asked me to review. Where he got his version from, I
    don’t know. I think I scribbled out part of the line and amended it in some way, but have
    no recollection of exactly what I did to it. And whether he edited it further, I don’t
    know. But as it was purely schematic (& appears to go through ~1950) perhaps it’s not so
    bad. I note, however, that in the more colourful version of the much embellished graph
    that Stefan circulated (

    the end-point has been changed to 2000, which puts quite a different spin on things. They
    also seem to have fabricated a scale for the purported temperature changes. In any case,
    the graph has no objective basis whatsoever; it is purely a “visual guess” at what
    happened, like something we might sketch on a napkin at a party for some overly persistent
    inquisitor….. (so make sure you don’t leave such things on the table…).
    What made the last millennium graph famous (notorious!) was that Chris Folland must have
    seen it and reproduced it in the 1995 IPCC chapter he was editing. I don’t think he gave a
    citation and it thus appeared to have the imprimatur of the IPCC. Having submitted a great
    deal of text for that chapter, I remember being really pissed off that Chris essentially
    ignored all the input, and wrote his own version of the paleoclimate record in that volume.
    There are other examples of how Jack Eddy’s grey literature publication was misused. In a
    paper in Science by Zielinski et al. (1994) [v.264, p.448-452]–attached– they reproduced
    [in Figure 1c] a similarly schematic version of Holocene temperatures giving the following
    citation, “Taken from J. A. Eddy and R. S. Bradley, Earth-quest 5 (insert) (1991), as
    modified from J. T. Houghton, G. J. Jenkins, J. J. Ephraums, Climate Change, The IPCC
    Scientific Assessment (Cambridge Univ. Press, Cambridge, 1990).”
    But I had nothing to do with that one!
    So, that’s how a crude fax from Jack Eddy became the definitive IPCC record on the last
    millennium!
