  1. drop the fees?
I would consider eliminating them for gifted disadvantaged types if the ivory tower chieftains would push for courses with RELEVANT curricula.
art history ain’t one of them.
    not gonna ‘appen eh matey?

  2. Why is this woman speaking … no, shouting out? Surely it is unlady-like, unseemly, uncouth and
improper for a daughter of Allah? does she have her husband’s. father’s. brpther’s permission to do so?

  3. Say, isn’t she supposed to be veiled? And at home in the kitchen? Where is this bad woman’s husband? Does he know what she’s up to?
    Its shameful!

  4. The ongoingly-superb Barbara Kay – to me, she’s the perfected exemplar of the quiet moral center of Canada – writes:
“I would hope that feminists would applaud Jason Kenney’s courage in admitting an unpleasant truth, and support him loudly and clearly. If they don’t, they can hardly call themselves feminists.”
While I share Mrs. Kay’s hope – sometimes hope is all there is – it’s transparently been the case for about twenty or thirty years now that the inchoate, tire-chewing – and ultimately selfish – anti-white-male mindset of most putative feminists is more than sufficient to steamroll over any real concern about what happens to women of different races and cultures. Within the so-called feminist movement, the right of brown men to oppress brown women now falls under the broad rubric of a loudly-announced multicultural understanding which supplants any actual concern for women, and provides endless wiggle-room to allow for the oppression of all those women who aren’t privileged western feminists.
You rarely hear a western prog/feminist who doesn’t volubly oppose the very men and women who are fighting to provide security for Afghan women against misogynist thugs with a medieval mindset who would forbid a girl to hold a book or go to school.
There are exceptions, and I hope it’s the start of a trend, but I’m not holding my breath.
If Canadian feminists had even the first hint of concern about anything but their own safe and righteous selves they’d support Jason Kenney’s defense of the Canadian women who continue to be subjugated by the values of landed-Canadian foreign cultures protected under the rubric of progressive Canadian “multicultural” ideals.
It’s entirely apparent that the only reason most Canadian feminist spokeswomen haven’t come out in support of Kenney’s statements is because Kenney is a “right-wing white male” – which pretty much shows how sound and consistent the underlying principles of most official Canadian “feminist” spokeswomen are.

  5. EBD…
Your thoughts and observations on many, and any subjects never fail to amaze me.
Your insights always cut to the meat of the matter.
And as a person who rarely contributes to SDA with my own thoughts(ideas to paper thing!)
I find myself scrolling down the pages quickly to find what your well reasoned opinions on the serious issues that confront us every day.
    Thank You
    K

  6. If we allow this kind of thing to be normalized, we’re scr*wed.
I hate multiculturalism, in part because Western, Christianized, post-Enlightenment dead-honkey what-have-you culture is the only one in history that’s ever treated women like actual human people.

  7. Sorta funny…for decades now most folks hereabouts disliked my comment about the Quebecois penchant for defending their language and culture…..despite my pointing out that our language and culture was threatened—a qualification that was deemed “racist”.
One fella actually apoligized….and commented “good on the frogs for banning the head scarves.”
I guess ya don’t value the well until it fails…..

  8. Drop Fees? What crap. Here is one more group of tax consumers after the government to provide cash from taxpayers. Someone is getting paid somewhere in this program as a director or such and gotta make sure the cash keeps coming in all the while pointing out the ‘victim group’ they represent.
I applaud Jason Kenny for moving on the issue of immigration and bringing cultural practices into the conversation. We need more of this discussion apart from the standard progressive media narrative.
As usual the “feminists” are no where to seen or heard when it comes to cultural issues such as honor killings, female genital mutilation or the presence of hagabs and burqas. Feminists generally are quite content with women walking around in tents, ten paces behind the men or getting stoned in Somalia.
The mouthy feminists, that get interviewed or published, are the equivalent of US race baiters Jackson and Sharpton. Just keep the constituency fluid, the media agreeable and mostly keep lining their pocket.

Thanks ‘rg’. Can anybody interpret the language on poster.

  10. martin amis of england said he loved more people of color in england but he hated multiculturalism
as he hated honor killings, clitordectomies, and forced mariages of 9 year old girl children. He wanted to call his ideal condition “MULTIRACIALISM” WHICH HAD NO CONNOTATION OF THE HOST COUNTRY HAVINg TO ADOPT new immigrants TRADITIONALLY REPUGNANT cultural practices. He also – in his interview with a cdn. columnist- said he could not understand how Cdn womens groups { the status of women? ) could not speak out against these muslim practices against women, as they feared being labelled “racist” more than their desire to promote welfare amongst women.

  11. Ah yes, Martin Amis. I shut down hard an old friend who turned out to be a hard-core enviro-whacko tolerance-junkie who excoriated me for some of my views about Muslims and the islamization of the west.
I asked him what he thought of Martin Amis (knowing he was a big fan of Amis, and Hitchens, and all other such liberal snob phonies).
After getting a long glowing tribute to Amis, I sent him back a piece wherein Amis surprisingly made all the same points I had been making.
    THE END.
Thank you Martin Amis. Your toffee nose is forgiven.

Ditto to Rednik’s positive remarks about EBD’s invaluable contributions at sda.

  13. She looks like she is about to break into one of those high pitched tongue wiggling shrill tribal mouth music thingies (kind of sounds like a turkey gobbling – but several octaves higher)
No surprise that the “progressive” (leftist/intolerant Jew hating) university student organizations would use her as their perfect poster girl – she is after all the “FACE” of their new Canada – Lefties and Islamists cheek to cheek.
all together now – in unison:
    Islamisist: “GOD IS GREAT!”
    Lefty: “GOD IS DEAD”
if not in harmony, in unison.
A major battle we face in turning this mess around, is establishing Western Centric student groups on campuses across this country, who have the moral courage to stand up for Western Values, and fight to replace the defacto Marxist and Islamic student groups which currently control our campuses student organizations.
