  2. Obama’s speeches on foreign policy have significantly less depth than the stereotypical pageant contestant’s “I would like to help the world where everyone is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah….”.

  4. We fight with political correctness that ties one arm behind our back. We prop up a corrupt regime of Neanderthals who are stuck in the seventh century.
    We get marginal support from NATO allies.
    America is now government by an appeasing, pacifist idiot who appears sympathetic to the Jihad and to despots of any variety.
    And you want to continue on? End it now!
    I suggest an annual carpet bombing of terrorist installations and training camps in Afghanistan to help prevent another 9-11 and nothing more.
    We do not owe the Afghans anything. They have their own society in their own country with their own government. We don’t like anyone coming to our country to tell us how to live … well that may not be so for the multi-culti dorks in Toronto, but most of us want to run our own society and culture.
    But then, that’s just my opinion.

    Which really means Barry doesn’t actually have a foreign policy. He has a script.
    Now that the extremely important business of getting the Olympics for Chicago has been taken care of, somebody will whip together another speech on Ashcanistan, Barry will read it, and the problem will be solved.
    All hail Barry for he is The One. Oh, and Michelle too or she’ll smack you with her batleth.
    Can’t one of you Photoshop whiz kids whip up a picture of Barry as the Joker with Michelle in her full Klingon regalia? American Gothic style. Probably make a fortune selling t-shirts.

  7. Obama is already backing away from Afghanistan. A couple of days ago, he said Afghanistan was not an American war, it was a NATO war. So, when he leaves Afghanistan, it will be a NATO loss, not an American loss.

    The idea is to get Afghanistan stable and strong enough to fight their own battles against the Taliban and at worst stay neutral towards the West. It isn’t to export the Western ideal of a pluralistic democracy (although it would be nice if they adopted that type of gov’t). Furthermore, culture is not gov’t. So although they may have an ancient culture (by Western standards) it’s not government. Since there hasn’t been a functioning gov’t for the past 30+ years in the country (hence, no institutions)–the Afghans have to learn about governing and what is required to govern a country of 20+million people in the 21st Century.

  12. Seriously OBOZO has a lot on his plate currently.
    Congress is in the early stages of a revolt, the great unwashed racist masses are massing at teaparties and town halls, his fantasy of a second term has evaporated, late night comedians are biting, and the world’s leaders treat him as irrelevant.
    Over-exposure in media, ACORN and bitter groundless accusations of racism are getting to be SOOOO tired.
    Afghanistan is the very least of his concern….in his narciscism he is contemplating impeachment…..in his mind anything less than total obedience equals mutiny……..

  13. It isn’t that Obama is a socialist; Obama is one thing only – a pathological narcissist. That means that his focus is singular; on himself, and his agenda is confined to interacting with other people in one manner – he must control them and assure himself that they ‘adore’ him. Period.
    He has no interest in, no knowledge of, no curiosity about – history, economics, governance, societal well-being..nothing.
    He has moved into politics only because it is an arena where campaigning, i.e., manipulating people to make them ‘yours’ is a basic activity. He stops there; all he can do is campaign. So, once he was in Senate, all he could do was vote ‘present’..and begin to campaign for President.
    He can’t do anything else. As editor of the Harvard Law Review, he could campaign to get the position but couldn’t do any editing or write any articles. He could campaign to get a grant to write a book about race relations but couldn’t write such a book and ended up, whether by himself or a ghostwriter, with an autobiography. About, heh, himself.
    He’s become embedded within the socialist ideology not because he himself is involved, intellectually, in their ideas. He isn’t; he has no involvement in any ideas, in any policies, in anything other than manipulating YOU to be in his control.
    He’s embedded within the socialist ideology because they have grabbed him for his abilities as such a personality-manipulator, and, because socialism is an elitist system. It operates by setting up an Elite Set of Rulers over the powerless Governed. It’s anti-republican and anti-democratic.
    But, with regard to policies, it’s the radical left who run Obama who set up the policies. Obama doesn’t; he’s therefore unable to answer questions about them because he’s never thought them through..and is not merely unwilling but unable to reason, analyze and critique any theory or policy. His ‘thought processes’ are simply non-intellectual; they are confined to psychological manipulation of others.
    The radical left who run Obama, are anti-American, anti-democratic, anti-capitalist, and their agenda is to use Obama-the-Narcissist to entice, charm and manipulate people into this new socialist infrastructure.
    A key problem is that Obama’s narcissism is exploding; it requires more and more fawning public adoration to keep him calm and ‘fed’. And, the socialist agenda is unpopular. Obama can’t accept or handle rejection, dissent, criticism. He has thus openly denigrated any and all who critique him, insisted that Congress pass ‘His Bills’ only on trust of Obama…and give up their duty to read, analyze and debate those bills.
    As for foreign affairs, Obama’s insults to any and all Western leaders, insults only a teenager could do, his kowtowing to dictators, his open relativism where he equates dictatorships with democracies…are expressions of his narcissistic approach. He feels that all it will take to effect change, is for the dictator to meet with Obama…and fall under his messianic aura.
    Again, Obama hasn’t a clue about the history of these countries, doesn’t care or understand the various complex reasons for these behaviours..and feels that his Missionizing Ability will solve it all.
    As Sarkozy said – incredibly naive and supremely egotistical.
    Americans are waking up to this reality. Many, however, can’t believe that someone as pathologically damaged could have been elected. They are trying to ‘give him a chance’, putting it down to ‘inexperience’. The left are trying to reject criticism as ‘racist’. Obama himself will readily accept such an explanation, for he has used the race-card all his life.
    What will Obama do now? Campaign. That’s all he can do…constantly try to manipulate people into his control. So, not only on late night shows and various carefully programmed meetings, but also, off to Copenhagen, and speeches, empty and vapid, at the UN, and everywhere. That’s all he does.
    Does he make decisions about policy? No. He’s unable to because policies have no role in manipulating people. He’s a pathological liar; he’ll tell you what he thinks you want to hear, and the next hour, say the opposite.
    Afghanistan? He’s throwing it under the bus. And that’s what he does when he feels he cannot control someone or something. That person/situation ceases to exist for Obama. Literally, actually…it no longer exists. And Obama is saying this already…Afghanistan, to him, no longer exists. It’s wiped from his slate of reality. He can’t control it; he has no idea about the military..and his leftist controllers are against the military..so..he’ll throw Afghanistan under the bus.
    Iran? Watch him. He’ll do the same. He’ll puff a bit about sanctions but he won’t do anything.
    Look what he did in Honduras; supported Zelaya the anti-democratic dicatator. That’s Obama’s leftist handlers. Obama himself has no interest in anything other than Himself.
    But gradually, Americans are realizing what is going on..and hopefully, the Democrats will lose Congress next year, and then, on to getting rid of Obama.

    I also believe the Media’s pathetic fawning was the biggest factor in Obama’s “success”.
    The media goes for flair, hype, control, gov’t fear fixing, idols. Too bad the first one was not a Condi or a Collin.

  20. But ET, who are Obama’s “Leftist Handlers”?
    Do you think that maybe the handlers may not be all leftists? After all there was that buried LA Times thing about somebody looking like the President giving a speech at some function honoring somebody that just may be labled as a member of a TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.
    Whoever his handlers are, there’s no question that they don’t care about America’s best interests. Now back to our regularly scheduled PBS News and Pony Show.
