  11. They should have warned them that attacking the vehicles would not be tolerated, one broadcast warning to step away and then water cannons, judging by the clothing, it was cold and being soaked would dampen their spirts.
    To be slightly fair, the protest organizers attempted to control the crowd, but there were far to few and they should have sent the hooded types packing right at the begining.

  12. We don’t have to wait a couple of years to see this kind of spineless official acceptance of this kind of destructive and outrageous behaviour. They KNOW there is no one, not ONE decent human being either holding a camera or weilding a gun as a policeman who will lift one finger to stop their vandalism and disrespect for property or others.
    WE saw it in Caledonia. We watched while the police and the judiciary and the political powers did NOTHING and allowed the lawlessness to go on and on and on. Completely abbrogating their responsibilities to serve and protect the citizens of Caledonia. Caledonia IS Canada and could have been any one of us in any town. For in that example we see that the officials we have given the power to do what we expect them to do in protecting our communities do NOTHING and will do NOTHING unless and until we insist on it by turfing their worthless hides out and putting in folk who have some steel in their spine and are willing to put same into our laws. We need to put the fear of God into those judges who think we are not watching and listening to their outrageous rulings.
    Not until then will they get that we as Canadians mean business and if they do not conduct the country’s business we will find people who do and will. In the meantime the lawless do what they wish , vandalizing and shooting up and tearing up communities at will. IF they are , by some stroke of luck, actually arrested they are back out on the street the next day , free to ply their terror once again on the innocent and peace of our communities. Judges seem completely deaf to the outrage building in the country. When the criminal gets a better shake than victims in our justice system we had better take things in hand and make sure we get the kind of represention we know will ensure a safer community. One step in that direction would be to insist that judges be elected so that their rulings have consequences. Serious consequences.
    And if we do not it won’t be just the criminals who terrorize our communities the jihadists are watching and using the weakness displayed to their advantage. A very high price for our way of life is being paid on a daily basis by brave souls who have sworn an oath to protect us on foreign shores away from their homes and families and at great risk to their lives.
    We owe them and ourselves a much more vocal and insistent charge to our elected officials to get cracking on these outrages on our streets and make it clear we will not tolerate jihadists either who seek to vandalize, disrupt, disrespect and attempt to subject us all to the tyrany of any entity that insists we must do things their way. ENOUGH.

    Simple answer: Our almost universal adherence to the Judeo-Christian faith at the time of WWII, which says that “I am my brother’s keeper” and “greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” gave our men (and women) the courage to fight what they knew was evil, despite having to risk their lives to overcome Nazism.
    Today, with the trashing of the faith of our forefathers and mothers in our public “educational” institutions, the MSM, and the public square (‘remember Chretien prohibiting Christian prayer at the memorial service in Nova Scotia for the victims of the plane that crashed at Peggy’s Cove and at the memorial service for 9/11 victims on Parliament Hill?), at least three generations of Canadians have absolutely no reason to risk their lives for any cause. They’ve been taught that they’re Number One, that there is no higher authority than their own, with the idea of personal sacrifice being a completely foreign concept to them. Their mantra is “My rights dictate that I can do whatever I want, when I want.”
    It’s not rocket science to figure out what’s gone terribly wrong with Western Civilization. If you cut down the root of the tree which has sustained it for thousands of years, the tree rapidly dies. In this case, the tree is our Western democracies founded on Judeo-Christian principles and the axe to the root is secular humanism, which has gleefully harnessed “equal rights,” “multiculturalism,”tolerance and diversity,” via the barbaric Islamofascist hordes to its nefarious agenda which is to rid the West of Christianity.
    Alas! This explanation of why Western democracies have so shockingly given themselves over to multiculturalism, with the resulting Islamification of our societies, is barely on the radar screen or a topic of discussion.
    We refuse to accurately name the problem ,to diagnose the disease, to the peril of the health of our body politic.   30. As usual, there’s maybe 5-10 guys in the crowd actually -doing- anything, they best they had was kicking the police vans. Everybody else is standing around with a camera or a cell phone.

    There have been lots of “demonstrations” just like this in Toronto, where some speaker gets the crowd all worked up, and ten guys go out and break a few windows… until they get tired. Being all radical and window breaky is hard work.
    The Metro cops and the OPP have demonstrated the proper method countless times, most recently with their publicly revealed treatment of Gary McHale and the Caledonia debacle.
    You don’t bother with the dumb @sses hitting the trucks. They’ll get tired and go home pretty quick. Like maybe in an hour. You don’t do anything to restrain or oppose the crowd either. What you do is take note of the ORGANIZERS, the ones who want this riot to take place. Then later you go arrest them when there’s no crowd on hand. You trace their money trail and break it down. You trace their foreign connections and maybe drop a daisy cutter on them. That’s the tactical way to do it.
    Unfortunately the cops around here are restrained from doing that to anyone other than lily white Christians demanding equality before the law. Everybody else is treated as a special case by the Liberal regime. Otherwise a whole bunch of Mohawk Warriors would have dissapeared off the DCE as if by magic in the dead of night, only to appear in Cayuga court the next day. Probably a few local cigarette moguls too.
    Same deal in Sweden.
    The problem is not the Muslims. Ten guys breaking the windshield wipers off a truck is not a problem. The problem is the government. Duh.

  32. The problem, IMO, is that the Sweden-Israel match had to be played to an empty arena. If those people had been inside, what would have happened to the Israelis? The problem is Dubai barring an Israeli tennis player from entering their country.

    Time to face it, my friends. There are lots of voters out there in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver who hate Jews, want them all dead, and OUR GOVERNMENT has decided to let them go ahead with that. Not due to any principled agreement I’m sure, but because its easier.

Let’s just face it – in spite of the realities of the Nazi death camps and the long, long history of the oppression of Jews, most people in the Western world (and I find mainly liberals) do not like Jewish people – they try to hide their bias (and sometimes outright hatred) by putting conditional words on things, but deep down they hold a deep hatred for anything Jewish. They suspect their wealth, their religion, their customs, their history – everything. I suspect much of the suspicion is because Jews survive against huge obstacles and that flies in the face of the liberal doctrine – that only government or the elites can help the underprivileged rather than the underprivileged doing it themselves – which is what most Jewish people do (along with many others).

  40. Why don’t we just assume that anyone wearing a mask at these protests is up to no good? Then give the authorities the right to use (up to and including) lethal force if and when they break the law?
    That would get it down to the serious players rather than the ‘recreational’ protester. Those who want to protest peacefully, can still do so (without the mask). They can also be identified, arrested and prosecuted if they break the law.
    This may appear barbaric, but I see no reason to extend rights to mask wearing criminals who are clearly out to destroy property or persons in the community at large.

    It also looks like someone was trying to torch one of the vans there with fireworks.
    Our tolerant society. It appears that the role of the police there was to keep the observers at a safe distance, while letting the protestors do whatever they want. I can see how that starts – but it’s a form of incrementalism – when will you risk harming a protestor for keeping the public peace??

  42. A second thought – the France 24 broadcast was instructive.
    What we hear in the world, other than our direct observations, depends on our filters.
    If that France 24 broadcast so misrepresented the real story (who knows, were the cameras already set up inside? too dangerous outside, so just safer to stay put by the nice policemen?) – what else do we really know or not know?
    The blogosphere can be quite informative that way, but in the end again you are depending on that filter, so it just reinforces your own beliefs.

They are what Mohammad referred to as the hypocrites.
    The Swedish Police outsourced their responsibilities to Muslims not to keep themselves out of harms way, but for political reasons. If they were doing what they were sworn to do in upholding the law, they’d play into the Muslims hands, with video and pictures that they can spread around the world to show that the Crusaders are indeed at war with them.
    This will not end in a traditional civil war. Muslims from the ME and Africa are not countrymen, they are not indigenous to European countries. They are invaders and colonialists.

With each outing our lands become closer and closer to being part of the Islamic waqf. They aren’t protesting against Israel. They are probing, testing, taking notes of our passivity.
