  1. And if Mouammar had done this in Saddam’s regime, he’d be feet first into a shredder. What a moron. Perhaps the reason they don’t bother to market for private donations is that the Buffalo Head Hacker makes it a mite tough to rally the moderate Muslims to the cause.

  2. The comment by Mr. Boudjenane,”Government cannot tell one group that they deserve tax money and another that they don’t”, is absolutely true. That any “group” DESERVES tax money is ridiculous. These tax-funded groups are quasi-political in nature and as such should be self-funded. The government should not be using tax money to fund ANY groups. Democracy is not the same as entitlement.

  3. Kenny couldn’t have picked a better target for defunding. However, I’d have felt much more satisfied as a tax payer if he had announced all these factious special interest NGOs were being pried loose from the public teat.

  4. Now this is the kind of steel backbone I was hoping for from a Conservative government. Way to go Jason, time to stand up to these morons. I can’t imagine there is much the CAF can do with publicity. Nobody but hard over Liberals and crazy islamists support them, and those folks are unlikely to be voting Conservative in the next millenia so it should really be a no brainer.

  5. This could be the start of a good trend … the dismantling of multicultural funding.
It all started way back in the Trudeau era (when else?) with the bilingualism and biculturalism commissions which gave equal balance to English and French.
If my memory serves me correctly, some group other than English or French claimed it was unfair that only one group got funding.
So the bastard child of biculturalism, multiculturalism, was born and has been funded ever since.
To my non-English and non-French mind, I say cut off all funding to the hyphenated-Canadian groups.
They can sing, dance, speak, eat the foods of their own homeland and do what they like … on their own dime.
Time to cut off all these leeches!

  6. The question is whether the rest of us should be paying for it.
Not just no, but hell no. Raise your own funds – if you have the support think you have, you’ll do well; if not, you’ll have to find a real job. That goes for every group/association with its snout in the trough, including political parties.

  7. I agree with WLM Redux. Now is a great time to examine programs and groups that should not be funded – bye bye

  8. No cultural groups should get any public funding. If they have a community, they should be more than capable of raising their own funds.
They can’t raise the censorship/racist cards if NO ONE gets any public funding.

  9. For how many years has a portion of the income that I would have otherwise used to buy my children clothes,
    been diverted to this group!!!?????

  10. Folks we are going to have $30 billion deficit this year. As such, how can the government justify giving any money to any of this political action groups – I’m including the CBC.

  11. They should ban foreign funding of all groups as well. There is no reason the Saudi, Chinese or any other government should be able to fund groups that undermine Canadian society.

  12. “He called Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff professional whores, too. A couple of years ago, when five children from Montreal were killed in the Lebanon war, he said Mr. Harper was “complicit in their killing.” At the Liberal convention at which Bob Rae ran for leader, he circulated a letter accusing Mr. Rae of being a racist Zionist, and pointing out that his wife is a Jew.”
Well, thank god there’s still Jack Layton, whom Mr.Mouammar has apparently NOT called a “whore”.

  13. HOLY S>>T ! I had no idea these guys were being funded in the first place. It’s sick I may need to take a break from this place, while I appreciate the eye opener into what’s really going on in this country,I don’t think it’s doing any favours for my blood pressure.Like a train wreck it’s horrifying and upseting but I can’t turn away 🙂

  14. Imagine the consequences if they had called the merciless Liberal dictator Jean Chretien a “whore”. Such a grave error would lead to worse than a mere withdrawal of easy money… The Cretch is, after all, infamous for ruining people and organizations, like his nemesis Paul Martin and his own Party, ferfecksake!
Minister Kenney, in contrast, has been quite calm, and perhaps too kind, in his response to such hatred being expressed.

Oh yes indeed! It’s a wonder why so many hard working conservatives have a problem with allowing out government to tax us to socialist equality to fund the lifestyles of lazy freeloaders and fascist ideological groups that want to destroy our society. Force our submission to Islam, “to hell with freedom”, “Sharia Law will prevail”, you will not criticize Islam or be called a “racist” and Islamaphobe – All paid for by your sweat!
Everyone in Canada and around the world from Africa to Pakistan benefits from your family’s work and subsequent sacrifice of nearly half your earnings. All the while they hate you to the core – From the jealous couch potato on social assistance who thinks you have it to good, to the radical Jihadist that swears to god that someday he will possess everything you own including your freedom as war booty. We then pay them the comfortable lifestyle to pursue those goals becoming politically incorrect if not criminal pariahs for voicing opposition.

  16. Kenney has substance, but, unfortunately, voters seem to go for style over substance. If Kenney were to get a big style makeover, he’d make a great leader. Maybe he needs help from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”. Maybe an affair with an ex-biker chick. How about some unpaid taxes, or a friendship with Weibo Ludwig.
Better yet, why not get out and explain to voters that policies are what defines a government?

  17. And if Ezra, Kate, Kathy made such a statement towards a Muslim they would be up in front of Big Brother(HRC) or Sued, Again!.
But as someone said Why are we even Funding special Interest Groups such as this. Funding available Yes, But to promote Hate towards a fellow man No.
This reminds me of another federal program that was a Useless waste of Taxpayer Monies.
Ok so help me out, what was the program that enabled special interest groups to recieve monies from the Federal Gov’t in order to Sue the Federal Govt?
And one more that i would like to Know, Whatever happened to the Programs/Accounts(another that the name Escapes me) that the Auditor General was Not allowed to Look, absolute hands off, under the Liberal Regime, Was the Auditor General Not to get access to those accounts?

  18. I believe in free speech and the only way to ensure that you can speak freely, is not to depend on others to fund your speech.

  19. This group gets half a million or so from the governments while the government takes tax money from the lowest income earners in the country. Have you ever wondered how many people working for 10$ an hour it takes to create a half a million in taxes–these are the people who really suffer to fund, not only this organization, but all of the others who are at the trough–cut them all off–give us our money back!

  20. Now if Revenue Canada would respond to our many complaints about the political activvity of that “Non-profit” NGO….the SUZUKI FOUNDATION.
That is the ultimate hate group…..they hate everybody…….

  21. End discrimination, cut them all off. No funding for anything that interferes with a cohesive society. Multicultural pursuits can sink or swim on their own merits.

  22. Agree with the sentiments of all the others. I wish Harper would use this financial downturn as an opportunity to de-fund all of these NGOs. They should be self-funded through contributions from their respective ‘communities’. Period. If they cannot self-fund, then obviously they have no purpose to serve.
The recent budget should have included an across the board slash, or even better elimination, of this obscene funding.

  23. Bryanr, the hands-off accounts that you are referring to are the ‘foundations’. There are several. They were set up while Martin was finance minister, and were set up,IMHO,to avoid the prying eyes of the AG. Last I heard they had a worth of about 9 billion. The conservatives put forth a bill while in opposition to give the AG the power to look into these foundations. I believe it was defeated then. I think that they now fall under the watch of the AG. It would be interesting to have a good look at their books.

  24. I love the smell of NAPALM DRENCHED decaying extremists in the morning… smells like VICTORY….

  25. set you free: “To my non-English and non-French mind, I say cut off all funding to the hyphenated-Canadian groups.”
I second that. Enough coddling and enabling of hyphenated-Canadians who can’t bear to cut the umbilical cord with their countries of origin.
They are in Canada under false pretenses; they don’t want to be Canadian. They want to destroy what IS Canadian.

  26. GO! Jason Kenny!- I don’t know why they were being funded in the first place but it ought not to have happened.
Time we got rid of that nonsense and cut funding for all these multicultural outfits. That is just nonsense.

  27. Absolutely unbelievable!
To think that almost half a million dollars of taxpayers’ money is being used to prop up this group of lunatics is almost beyond comprehension. Even if Mr. Mouammar had the good sense to keep his mouth shut, his group still deserves exactly nothing! Even more disgusting is the fact that we all know that this is only the tip of the iceberg. The extent of this flushing of tax dollars down the toilet would probably make a grown man cry.
Mr. Kenney would be well-advised to hold his ground on this one and then start looking around for other groups to be defunded.

  28. I just sent Jason Kenny an e-mail giving him my support for this stand against this hate- mongering A-hole and his organization. All who support him should do the same.
Just Google him and it will take you to his website. Organizations like the CAF need to know that right-thinking Canadians have neither sympathy nor patience for their hate and venom.

  29. I would add to my last post that it may be time to choke off the entry of any other Arabs wanting to immigrate into this country. That said it may be too late for us. I think its a matter of not being able to put the toothpaste back into the tube.
Man oh Man do we need immigration reform or what!!
