   Granted this is perhaps not the rainbow coalition one would choose to build without first running it past a focus group or two, it was still striking the way Canadian liberals were unable to address the issue in anything other than a look-who’s-on-your-team sense. At first, I took it as read that that was because I’m a pretty repellent fellow, and if you get the chance to link me to some neo-Nazi nut, who wouldn’t grab it? But then an affable and principled Liberal Member of Parliament introduced a freedom-of-speech motion essentially supporting the Steyn line and he too got jumped on as a neo-Nazi-by-association even though he is a “visible minority” – or, in his words, a “brown guy”. As one Liberal spinmeister put it to any other party figures thinking of wandering off the reservation:
   Do you agree with this stunt? Not surprisingly, the Nazis do.
   So what? These particular “Nazis” also oppose George W Bush and the Iraq war. Does that make Bush hatred and the end-the-war movement unrespectable, too? Modern liberalism is so rooted in identity politics – approved tribes and unapproved tribes – that even its ideas (“tolerance”, “diversity”) extend only to favored groups.

Does he really think it is all harmless?”
   Hmmm. Isn’t killing all Jews exactly what the Muslims preach. Is it OK to preach hatred for Jews as long as you don’t add white power while doing so?
   Which brings up another question. If, while snooping around a boys washroom with a camera, WK had come across some graffiti that said “Death to Jews Allah Akbar” would he have bothered to take a picture of it?

10. Well, Cherniak can take comfort in knowing his friend WK has now taken up s**t house wall photography. It’s a noble pursuit while he’s in limbo waiting for the call to save Dion’s ass in the next election with his army of toy dinosaurs.

11. One of Jay Currie’s commenters wrote: “Someone his age with a law degree hasn’t spent much time in the real world …” The Dalhousie Law School, in its current state, is about as far from the real world as it can be.

12. Hey, I feel it necessary to defend Dal Law. Not everyone who comes out of that school is a raving Left wing loonie. Many of my Conservative friends are Dal Law grads, as is Peter MacKay and Jim Prentice. Please, if you’re thinking about going to law school, don’t disregard Dal just because of a couple of wingnuts like Cherniak.
