Bill Roggio emails;
Our plan for the 1st quarter of 2008 is to embed four reporters in theater. We currently have three embeds on deck. Gordon Alanko (aka Acute Politics), an Army Reservist and military blogger who just recently returned from a 15 month tour in Anbar province, will return to Iraq and head to Diyala and Arab Jabour in southern Baghdad Province. Phil Peterson, a photojournalist, will spend a month with US troops in eastern Afghanistan. I am planning to head out sometime in March. I haven’t decided if I should go to Afghanistan or Iraq, so I’m keeping my options open.
The Long War Journal is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization (tax deductible in the US). They’re looking for financial support for this project. I know you don’t subscribe to the Toronto Star, but consider phoning their circulation department to tell them you’re taking the money you aren’t wasting on their Liberal propaganda sheet and supporting real journalism instead.

Thumbs up about the Long War Journal. One of the best out there. Sure beats most of the MSM, especially our very own CBC and Toronto Sun.
Did Roggio ask . . .?

Bill, Please make it AFGHANISTAN, so you can give us your estimate of how tough it will be for Nato to step in and stop Osama when his Taliban swarm Musharrif*s boys for possesion of Pakistan*s A-Bombs. = TG
John Bolton.
No no, not the singer. Recent US Ambassador to the UN. You know. That John Bolton.
He thinks it*s a good idea to let you and I in on this.. and he ought to know.
**Iran’s two best buddies in the world are north Korea and Syria.
North Korea is a good buddy because they already have nuclear weapons. We need to be focused on them almost as much as Iran. We have seen the successful Israeli flight against a north Korea nuclear facility in Syria.
Both the Israeli and United States Governments kept the details of what exactly was bombed a secret.
The general public still doesn’t know the relationship between north Korea and Syria and weather it was a joint effort, a trade of supplies or something else.
Our governments however do know the details and I wonder if that censorship and classification of information is necessary.
I, for one, am not bound by any of the Israeli laws of censorship while the American first amendment stays with me.
I don’t understand the reason for strong Israeli censorship in the news. The Syrian and North Korea governments know the whole truth and the USA and Israeli Governments know part of the truth. It’s the citizens of all 4 countries who don’t.
Due to its government censorship the people of Israel can know what it feels like to be a citizen of north Korea.
The proliferation of nuclear weapons in the middle east will start with North Korea.
It counterfeits money, sells narcotics, and it will do anything for hard money.
That money goes to two causes. One is the continued support of Kim Jong*s reign and secondly for its nuclear program.
North Korea is also a maker of biological weapons and will be willing to sell them for the right price.
