Infiltrators’ report from the Canadian Peace Alliance;

Right after the resolution calling for “anti-war” rallies across Canada, delegates voted to urge all CPA member groups to attend a conference of “the global anti-war movement” in Cairo later this month, which is really a strategy session with the well-known pacifist groups Hamas and Hezbollah.

In Washinton, peace paraders were met with thousands of counter protesters.
A British poll of 5.000 Iraqis indicates a large majority believe life is better than it was under Saddam.

An article in today’s Washington Post – “A More Islamic Islam” – perhaps reveals more of her true intentions than its author – Geneive Abdo – intended.

  1. I was wondering if anyone else out there have seen any of these pro-Venezuela (socialism) commercials that are airing in the US.
    3w.youtube.com/watch?v=KNE0os3f3VY
This is just one of them. The FOX Station we get here in Montreal has one that’s even more ludicrous…with captions like “What is the meaning of Social Responsibility?” and old poor people from Maine and New York talking about how they want to thank the people of Venezuela. That commercial is not on YouTube. But a transcript of it can be found at…
    thecandidtruth.blogspot.com/2007/03/citgo-commercial.html
The schtick is that Venezuela (through Citgo) is providing poor people in 16 states with X million barrels of oil at 40% of the regular price.
I just can’t believe that the Americans (especially Fox) are allowing these commercials to air. Yes, I know…censorship is bad. But can you imagine, during the Cold War, if the USSR were allowed to run propaganda commercials on US television? Unthinkable.

  2. Sorry cant say that I have, but I have seen interviews with transport trucks full of heating oil in some poor area. I think it was New York, donated by Venezuela, “free oil for the poor.”
The way I see it, it’s like this, if the liberals or even Conservatives with their GST tax cuts, or bribes dolled out to me (pure socialism) Ill put the money in my pocket, but I wont say thanks.

  3. Check out this quote from a CTV.com story on John Baird stating that the tories have no plans to quit Kyoto.
“As of 2005, we were seen as a world leader on Kyoto,” said University of Ottawa environmental law professor Stewart Elgie.
“Over the past year or so, our international reputation has been damaged mainly because of the perception that we’ve given up on even trying to meet our Kyoto commitment.”
Of course the article does not tell us that Stewart Elgie is the founding member of the Sierra Legal Defence Fund.
He claims that the Liberals by doing nothing on the Kyoto file allowing emissions to go through the roof shows leadership! Perhaps Stephane Dion is a leader!

  4. I am only now reading about the anti-anti war protest in Washington. In all the coverage yesterday on CTV and CBC, not even a peep about the fact that these war protesters were outnumbered by counter protesters……is Canadian MSM attempting to censor the truth from Canadians?

  5. My tip for the day is:
GO SEE 300!!! Don’t wait for the DVD.
My wife and I went last night. I don’t usually go out to watch movies but this was a must see, and well worth it.

  6. Not sure what the Post’s motives were in publishing that column, but i’m glad these people keep outing themselves. Hopefully it will put an end to the addleheaded cliche about the harmless moderate majority.

  7. Bizarre statement of the day from Dion (on cbc news sunday)re:his conversion to being tough on crime:”we want to catch the offender BEFORE they do the crime!” HUH????

  8. That would mean pre-emptive jailing of all potential offenders.
Borat Dion could set up local tribunals staffed by loyal liberals to determine who is likely to commit a crime (especially a thoughtcrime) and have those people summarily jailed, probably in Nunavit. After all, thats what his hero Stalin did.

  9. The Green Party and Elizabeth May – is just a lobby group that runs candidates to get $1.75 from the taxpayer for every vote cast to then use the money for lobbying.
Today May’s so called platform sounded Liberal with a nostalgic pining for the old “Progressive” Conservatives.
They really have no “platform” but plenty of “platitudes” – warm fuzzy lobby type stuff that can be loaned to any cause if the price is right. The Kyoto Kult has them at this moment. And I think the INstitutional Day Care groups with a touch of the so called “Kelowna” thrown in for good measure.
Have a look at their 10 so called Pillars (yup, social justice is there too – Dion can use the Greens as a lobby group for him too)
    http://www.greenparty.ca/
Platitudes without plans R-Us. Sloganeering experts too. Clever huh.

  10. “…with a nostalgic pining for the old “Progressive” Conservatives.”
I saw that as well. It is a really pathetic no traction attack. Who the hell remembers the Progressive Conservatives, or the Alliance for that matter.
Dumpy May is running against Peter McKay. Fat chance.
And then there’s Stephane Pion with his “tree peelers” pledge for all Canadians.

  11. I guess the CPA can’t be too worried about the global warmin’ if they’re all flyin’ to Cairo for a love-in with Hesbola-la.

  12. More insights on Green Party’s Elizabeth May :
Every wonder why May is almost visceral in her hatred for George Bush and pretty well ALL Republicans? Her eyes squint up and she starts to spit. To her the most horrendous thing she can call the Conservatives are Republicans!
    Why the hatred?
Well, Missy May is actually from the United States. She grew up in a very very Democratic political family where Bill Clinton came to visit and she and him are still good buddies.
She hates George Bush and Republicans because it is in her American soul and DNA to hate them.
Now she is trying to Americanize Canadian politics by calling Harper a Bush Republican which if anybody took the time to compare is so far from reality it is to laugh.
More insights on this – Dear Belinda is also a good friend of Bill Clintons. Clinton and Belinda’s billionaire buddies really really want to get their hands back on the tiller of power.
There’s big bucks for their rich friends in the “Kyoto carbon scare industry”. Remember, Gore was Clinton’s VP. And Missy May is, of course, a good yappy lobbyist for Kyoto . She is a propaganda master as I have seen.
So, Clinton plus Belinda plus May plus Belinda’s hatred of Peter McKay plus add some former PC’s who despise Peter for merging and want vengeance add lobby groups for the Clinton/Gore/Green/Dion/Kyoto pet lobby projects and you now have a perfect storm.
Belinda can give slanderous insider information about Peter that only a scorned lover could do. The rest give big name power and money.
May is no stoopie-doop. I firmly believe this was a strategic plan not neccesarily of her own and now she has to make up cover stories like -um, I’m from near here and want to help local business more.
Yup – we believe ya May. You have the gift of the gab and for some reason no media interviewer ever questions your outragious scare mongering do they?
Lots of you would have much more background on these connections I am sure.

  14. I’ve done a complete breakdown on the British poll in question here.
The Time’s statement that “most Iraqis believe life is better for them now than it was under Saddam Hussein” is highly misleading, as they are basing this claim on a question which asks people whether they prefer the previous political system or the current one, and not one which specifically asks whether they believe life is better.
There are also many things the poll finds that the Times aren’t reporting on:
Amongst other things, the poll says:
    – 26% of those surveyed nationwide said they’d had a family member or relative killed within the past three years. These numbers are even higher outside of Kurdish territory, where only 5% report losing a family member.
    – Less than 1/3rd of Iraqis believe that the recent U.S. surge was intended to increase security in Iraq. More Iraqis believe the actual goal is to depose the existing government, establish U.S. control of Iraq, attack Iraq’s neighbors, or to kill and destroy Iraqis.
    – 53% of Iraqis believe that the security situation will improve in Iraq once Coalition forces withdraw, as compared to only 32% who disagree. The percentage of Iraqis who think a Coalition withdrawl would be beneficial increases very significantly if you disregard the Kurdish region of Iraq, where only 15% of the population think that security would improve without Coalition forces.
    – Only 15% of Kurds approve of the current governmental system. Most want an independent government. Shi’a, however, overwhelmingly support a strong, central government that imposes its will over the rest of the country. This could lead to significant conflicts in the future.
Among those with a clear preference, the Sunni in Iraq prefered the political system under Saddam by a nearly 2-1 margin. Over 26% of Iraq’s Shi’a believe that the current political system in Iraq is just as bad or worse than the political system under Saddam, and fully a third of Shi’a, refused to say that the new government was better than the old one, despite Saddam’s crimes against the Shi’a, and the Shi’a having an overwhelming political majority.
    – Approximately 60% of respondents considered themselves unemployed. Those percentages are even higher if you disregard the Kurdish region, where only about 50% were unemployed. These unemployment figures are approximately the same as was seen in the months following the invasion — they have not improved noticeably in years.
Lastly, although the survey polled residents in “every one of the eighteen governorates within Iraq”, the choice of places within those governates for their clusters seems skewed. Indeed, it appears that the data gathered in Anbar province, for example, was gathered in the far west of Iraq near Ar Rutbah, with no data from cities such as Fallujah, Ramadi, or Samarra. Much of the Sunni triangle is simply overlooked, even in situations such as Fallujah where there is a strong U.S. pacification presence allowing for surveys.
Similar issues could be raised with their Baghdad surveying. Did they go into Sadr City? I suspect not.
So, while the poll tries to represent Iraq, there are a lot of questions as to whether it is representative of Iraqis.

LOL! Ironically, Dion has it right, but only with regards to L I B E R A L S. ‘Nuff said.

  17. Dion also has glorified himself again. Lst week he proclaimed himself “the most influential leader of the opposition in a generation” (after just three months. Wow!!!
Today on CBC he has elevated himself to “If I do say so myself I am one of the most influential persons IN THE WORLD on the environment since December 2005”.
December 2005???? What happened then? Um – Dion got a dog and stealing former Lib. Enviro MInister David Anderson’s idea he called HIS dog Kyoto too and…
you and me and other Canadian taxpayer paid $50 MILLION for Dion to host a big get together in Canada to talk about the world wide swindle named Kyoto.
So, if YOU want to be one of the most important people in the whole wide world on a topic buy a dog and get someone else to pay for a big party.
And, who else is getting really peed off at Dion and other Enviro nuts panting for your tax dollars to fund their causes who keep saying “Until 2005 Canada was seen as a LEADER in the world on climate change. All that has changed under the Conservatives.”
Huh. WHO saw Canada as a “leader” – Maurice Strong? I think Dion was given the Woody award TWICE in 18 months for Canada’s FAILING on the environment.
Who else here is sick of the absolute lies in the propaganda statements made that the media allows un-questioned. ???

  26. Toddler Forced Off Life Support – Help Needed.
Melanie Childlers, one of Andrea Clark’s sisters, wrote the following disturbing message concerning Emilio Gonzales, the 16-month-old boy who is set to be taken off “life support” against his mother’s wishes:
Emilio Gonzales is a sixteen month old infant at Brackenridge Children’s Hospital in Austin, TX. He has been diagnosed with Leigh’s disease. Leigh’s disease is a genetic malady which is caused by a lack of functional mitochondrial complexes. There is NO DEFINITIVE TEST for Leigh’s disease, and physicians usually diagnose it based on symptoms, alone. There are tests which can back up the diagnosis, but let me reiterate: there are no definitive tests for this disease.
A group that practices in-house at Brackenridge Children’s Hospital, in Austin, TX, called The Pediatric Physicians Alliance of Central Texas, has decided that Emilio Gonzales should die. Although not all of the test results are in, and even if they were, they would not be a definitive diagnosis of Leigh’s disease, Emilio Gonzales is set to have his respirator removed this Friday.
This disease is usually treated with thiamin, but these physicians decided to take him off of treatment. It was only when his lawyer, Jerri Ward, insisted that they put him back on the treatment that they did so. These children can live, and often do live, to be about six or seven years of age. This child is sixteen months old and these physicians have decided not to give him a chance at the rest of his life, despite his family’s wishes to the contrary.

    “The Harper/Charest, Harper/Dumont Axis”
The original, in French, is here. This is my quick and dirty translation, but you get the jist.
Federalists in Quebec have more and more created their niche in the Conservative Party of Canada. Many Young Liberals of Quebec have decided to embark on the conservative train. Simon Begin, the former president of the PLQ youth commission, supports the CPC, as do other influential party members. Still, you can’t deny that many Liberals in Quebec are still Liberals on the federal scene. But this tendency is losing its vigour, the Liberals [realize?] that the sole federalist leader in Canada is Stephen Harper, and that Stephane Dion doesn’t give off a single hint of being a leader capable of going to look for support in Quebec, the West, or the in the other provinces. …-

We all know they’re doing it, but this post on a jihadi web site explicitly instructs the Islamic warriors on how to manipulate “weak-minded Americans” and foster anti-war sentiment, by using popular web forums (I’m looking at you, Daily Kos) and video sharing sites like YouTube and LiveLeak to spread propaganda and disinformation.
