  1. In university, we call that “plagiarism.” It gets you a big fat goose egg, and academic discipline to boot. So much for professionalism.

  2. Some critics are saying that newspapers aren’t even useful for wrapping garbage anymore.
I expect that our major newspapers are busy calculating their carbon footprint, and are shocked, shocked, I tell you, to find that the planet is far better off without them.

  3. The NYT owns the Independent. I’m not sure to what extent they call themselves a chain but linked papers do share information.
(This doesn’t change the fact that both are disgusting disseminators of deceitful data.)

    ..”disgusting disseminators of deceitful data.”
Very good, and much more widely applicable.

  5. Maybe Elaine Benes was involved. She stole ideas from Ziggy for her New Yorker cartoon afterall…

  6. A pack of apes each miming the other. Playing the echo game.
Its a cannibalistic enterprise, is modern journalism. Each outlet feeding off the other with little variation. Lies penned like little people, waiting for there slaughter of words to their souls. Yet these presentations are lurking with a mad cow like disease. Spread by themselves in the guise of objectivity.
BSE was begun by tribes eating the brains of their relatives in South America.
I enjoy watching them being put paid to by their own selves. A slow suicide by Marxism conjoined with socialist liberalism, to produce these flesh eaters of the mind.
All of course slanted to the left, as hard as they can get away with.
All singing the same lyrics to the same tune, set with the harmony of “I did it my way” as they crash & burn.
Meanwhile those who posit what they believe to be reality without hiding their colors .Or fact check what they write. Are thriving. Living on the truth with facts to back statements up, as their antibodies. Usually these folks welcome the Blog sphere . They enjoy the interaction.
That some are making good money is to be expected , if not lauded. For once honesty wins over the crafted fabrications. That is where the future is. The NYT & their ilk have severed themselves from the populace , or criticism. They have devised their own end.
I believe blogs like Kates are the future only in an even more interactive way.
    Just my opinion

  7. Further proof that these MSM slimes are all connected to the same mainframe.
Yes, there is a Mother Ship that they feed from. It’s located somewhere in…..I’m guessing NYC or Paris.

  9. Shaken @12:30 said it best…..maybe, just maybe, someone will see what will happen to them if someone with an environment agenda got in power. Maybe not here, but in some more snotty European country and the newspaper there was forced to realize the impact they have on the environment. Not just GHG, but the more important issue to people(in my opinion), that being pollution and filling of landfills.
Oh sorry, we don’t pollute with the daily paper because EVERBODY recycles EVERTIME, right?
oops, off topic, sorry Kate, just thought Shaken had a good point
