SaskBlogs Meet in Regina July 22, 2006. Organized by Stephen Glauser and Saskboy.
Pot Luck, Bar-B-Que and bring your own chairs. (My “special dietary concern” involves Rickards Red, btw….)
Bonus: There’s a Rider’s game afterwards!

aw crap like a dummy I already took my holidays in March to go to England, if only I’d have known about this shindig…
I’ve had some Rickards, not bad. But, Kate, if you can find it up there try Firestone Ale, Double Barrel. It’s local, a family member son in law of the winery family. Not much gets out of state but it is muy sabrosa.
Rickards is ok as far as molson goes, there’s nothin better than a big rock beer though
http://www.brahma.com/
Kate you really need to be drinking Brazilian Brahma
during the summer. Its 4.8% alcohol.
Big Rock Grasshopper with a lime. Even appropriate for the prairies in July.
Stephen and I asked, and we’d have to move the venue to get a liquor permit. Good ol’ SK eh? Bush parties everywhere with 16 year olds, but if a few adult bloggers want a beer in a park, they can’t even get a license to. I’m content not drinkin’, but I know it’s a thorn in many people’s sides.
The CBC has expressed some interest in the event and might send a reporter to check out the blogging scene in Saskatchewan.
That’s what travel mugs are for.
the blogging scene is Saskatchewan who’d a thunk it?
I expect any CBC reporters attending your affair will be treated with ALL the respect and decorum DUE them.
Brahma is good beer! Kate, thanks for the links and I look forward to seeing youthere.
I knew mentioning CBC here might be like kicking an ant hill 🙂
I tore a strip off of CBC last week myself on my blog.
Would you welcome an ex-Sask blogger now in Calgary? I expect to be near Regina, if not in it, that weekend.
Shane O. Yep, come on over. RSVP at saskblogs.ca and add your blog to saskblogs.catprint.ca ‘s list of SK bloggers. Even Stephen lives in Calgary now, but is from here.
i agree kate, travel mugs or go cups are the way to go. and for those still weary of drinking beer in the park, ill bring a punch that is known throughout the balcarres, fort qu’appelle, abernethy area as ‘skip and go naked’. very good on a hot day.
People in Saskabush drink beer? Boy do they ever!
The last time I was there the bartender gave me a funnel.(I was in a bar just outside the Dundurn base)
When I asked him what it was for he told me to shut up pretend I was a local. When I asked him what a local and funnel have in common. He told me the people of Saskatchewan stopped drinking a long time ago 🙂
Shane, of course. I’m a former Saskatchewanian now living in Calgary, and I’m one of the organizers!
Can’t make it to this shindig as I’ve already booked into Yorkton for August but I’d suggest you can’t go wrong with a Black & Tan. Cheers!
