Matthew Sheffield echoes something I’ve said – “attempting to please those who are not your friends will not convert them into friends”.

“…making nice with journalists who despise you, your party, and your policies, doesn’t do much good. “

  1. Bob, starting off this thread with more smelly reports of hatred for the USA.
What do you gain by this?
When governments dish out proaganda to their captive citizens, don*t you think it logical that the hate level goes up? Hugo Chavez for example.
No need to reach any further than Canada in fact. You don*t deny that Paul Martin, Parrish and other liberals expressed hatred towards the USA. Do you?
Many governments keep their citizens in rags while they corral the natural wealth. When those citizens have to dig up weeds with a penknife in order not to starve, it is human nature that they could easily hate the USA where everyone enjoys a house, car and flush toilet.
Wise up, Bob, a 70% hate level, even if true, would not be too difficult to understand. TG

  2. Mullah Dadullah… easy to ridicule him… just look at his name.
He could just as well be nicknamed “Tinky Winky”. Betcha he carries a red purse with a bomb in it. Heh– a sissy terrorist!
Hey, Mullah Bullah, I fart on your beard and rub my shoes on your face! Ya big fat Poopy Woopy. We’re not afraid of you guys. You little craps are going to lose big time, Chumpy Wumpy! We already captured your stinking Talitubby ass!
Hope the Taliban is reading this!
And I hope Kate doesn’t mind if I call terrorists names. So what if we offend them? Our very existence offends them anyway, after all.

    The Government of Iraq
The actual role of the United States in resolving these security issues will be great. But as a matter of principle, the troubles are now an internal matter of a sovereign Iraqi government; and whether or not the problems are successfully resolved is ultimately a challenge that Iraqis will have to meet. They may fail or succeed, but it will increasingly no longer be America’s responsibility. Some will argue that it must needs remain America’s responsibility, because the US toppled Saddam. Yet at some point in the process, if the words “Iraqi Government” or “sovereignty” are not to remain wholly fictive, the circumstance of US responsibility must diminish and those of the Iraqis increase. Legally at least, that time has come. At some imperceptible point on a ridge a watershed is reached; and water begins to flow another way. – Wretchard, The Belmont Club
Much remains to be done, most of which will have to be done by the Iraqis. We did our part, and did it fairly well, with only half our countrymen supporting the effort, and a very small fraction of us actually engaged. How much faster could this victory have been achieved had we not been held back by so many objectively pro-Islamofascist obstructionists? …

    Leaked documents tantamount to ‘sabotage’
Critics say both the instructions to the negotiating team, and recent comments by both Ambrose and Prime Minister Stephen Harper about looking into joining the six-state partnership are tantamount to sabotage.
Steven Guilbeault of Greenpeace Canada told The Globe that the revealed documents will send a shockwave through the meetings.
“This is a serious diplomatic incident,” said Guilbeault, who is in Bonn.

Yes it is a big surprise to see that our military serves at the pleasure of America. We give them our natural resources so why not our military? You gotta be consistent. Like I’ve said before they own us. Its as simple as that.
The Dutch have been in Afganistan since 01 but only in special ops numbers. This will be their first major deployment.
