After his “occasional upper abdominal discomfort” evolved into continuous pain, Rev. Lehotsky went to an Urgent Care facility on Easter Sunday. After six hours, the doctor reported that he “wasn’t sure what was causing the pain” and Rev. Lehotsky would have to be referred for further tests, a barium X-ray and an appointment with a gastroenterologist. Shortly afterward, Rev. Lehotsky was shocked to learn that the wait for the x-ray would be five months and the first appointment with a gastroenterologist would be in seven months.
In Saskatchewan, there are health care professionals who are openly advising patients to contact a SaskParty opposition MLA in the hope that public attention will speed their progress through the system – so much so, it has been reported that there is now a waiting list for families trying to have their cases heard in the legislature.

Is one example supposed to covert us all to two-tier health care? The problems with the existing system have been well documented. The solution is to fix the system, not to throw out the baby with the bathwater.The PM should get on with fixing things rather than getting mired in right-wing ideological poppycock.
Dr’s for the SaskParty. Why am I not surprised? The Saskparty wants to get rid of Medicare,the gov’t in Ottawa wants to get rid of medicare and Dr’s want to get rid of medicare. What the hell are the people supposed to do? There are 3 right wing parties in Ottawa that want to destroy medicare. Only one party has promised to fix medicare…………………..just one!!! Jack Layton is the only leader to speakout on this. He would fix it. We should quit looking to the social failure of the USA. And they are a failure. They are a repressive country in which the people fight for freedoms we used to have. Do we still have them? As long as people vote Tory ,Saskparty and Liberal the freedoms will be under attack in the disguise of democracy American Style. That just smells up Canada.

Instead of preaching to the masses who think you’re an ass, why don’t you do something constructive like RUN for a seat in Parliament or the Legislature. Stand up for us, man. You’re THE man we’ve been needing.
