unless it’s at nite- sailor’s delight.

  5. Kate:
    I must protest.
Your magnificent photos always represent cruel and unusual punishment for expatriate Canadians like myself.
Back to the office tomorrow – on the Tube!
    Best wishes,
    JJM

  6. God is in the heavens, and has turned a bevy of artists loose.
Not very tech savvy, but Doug Fischer in today’s Toronto Sun has an excellent piece on SSM, how Michael Ignatieff is likely to benefit from the push within the Libs to replace Martin, and ponders David Frum’s future as Tory leader. Talk about the clash of the intellectual titans! Frankly, most Canadians don’t expect intelligence in their leaders, so this might just be too much for Jack & Jill Average.

Meet you in the parkin’ lot. Bring a step ladder and a bible. The Lord loves a tearful giver. Hahahaha.

  8. Someone like Frum as the leader of the CPC would likely lure my vote back to them. I had the privilege of listening to the fellow speak and he’s freaky intelligent.

  9. Frum for leader, now there’s a thought.
The left would twist in rabid convulsions.
I don’t know if it’s a winner, but I’m all for it just for the entertainment value.

  10. Frum? I’d love it, too, but if you think the CPC has problems with a media-constructed “angry Stephen Harper” meme, wait until they get their hands on “Axis-of-evil speechwriter Bush Neocon Jew Puppet!”.
    Never happen.

  11. Right. The cursed overpaid MSM elites will grab onto anything to hurt us and our leaders.
As for the photo, I like it. Just made it my desktop background and saved it to My Pictures on my XP os.
Kate, I like to take pics in much the same way you do. You have the right perspective and composition ideas to generate a positive reaction.

  12. Golf course behind your house, K?
In Regina there was a huge wheatfield behind mine, and a little way away was a creek with an old bridge. Pure Sask!

  13. Yup. Local volunteers converted an underused park and unused hilly area into a 9 hole golf course. Some mornings there seems like there’s more golf carts on the roads than cars.

  14. What is that yellow/orange thing in the sky? Out here on the west coast, the sky is still gray.

  15. Beautiful shot – but where are the mountains – out here we get mountains in that shot!!! Better yet – mountains and a golf cart!!! That’s my version of paradise anyway …

  16. Mountains in Saskatchewan, Sheila? I don’t remember any damn mountains! All I remember is flatness all the way to the horizon. I kinda liked it, though.

  17. Back in the 70ties, a staffer in the Vancouver Province newspaper, interviewed a recent immigrant from the praries, and asked him how he liked the coast! The old dude replies: “It’s nice, but the mountains sure hide the view……”
