A gathering of tips and items I spotted surfing this morning.
Newsbeat has a series of posts on whistleblowing.
The Times. they are a’changing….
The New York Times, America’s most venerated newspaper, is responding to growing pressure by pledging to increase its coverage of religion and the rural areas in the US, while also recruiting journalists who have military experience.
Comparing Hitler To Stalin;
The full death toll, most of it accumulated in peace time, at the hands of Lenin and his political and ideological successor, Stalin, is estimated by the best authorities at somewhere between 25 million and 30 million people. Not bad in a system for which mass terror and purges were not “intrinsic” parts. In what passes for Steele’s argument, he suggests the scaling down of the terror after Stalin’s death is evidence the system was not inherently terroristic. Does it not occur to him that there was no one left to kill?
The Librano Songbook grows!
Now, is this figure with or without the latest “envelope of cash” for Saskatchewan Premier Lorne Calvert?

Regarding Hitler vs Stalin, TV Ontario did a show several years ago on this very subject. Richard Gwyn of The Toronto Star (aka The NDP News) said – and this is no lie – that both were bad, but Naziism was worse because at least the commies “meant well.”
A great place to go, if you’re into that kind thing, is the 20 century death totals page. It’s an amazing database of death totals from all sorts of causes, from abortion to war.

Woah – Looks like he’s shooting for another 4 digits of debt per citizen… What a sweetheart he is!
Even if “meant well” includes intentionally creating famine in order to starve 7 million Ukrainian “kulaks” to death because they resisted collectivization, Richard Gwyn would still have been wrong.
As it is, he is simply a grossly ignorant “useful idiot”.
I recommend _The Black Book of Communism_ on the topic.
This isn’t a Librano song — but a movie. (Maybe you can come up with a good poster to go with it, Kate?):
“Lord of the Ka-ching”
“One Party to rule them all,
One Party to buy them,
One Party to bring their votes in
And into servitude bind them.”
National Socialism at work:
Cnews.canoe.ca
“Gagliano ran parallel Grits (aka Libranos) office”
“The Black Book of Communism” details this type of political perversion in detail.
Commissar Gagliano is a member of the Privy Council of Canada. Paul Desmarais, (Fellow-traveller) and Maurice Strong, (Communist Commissar) are also Commissars on the Privy Council of Canada.
The Communist party is the “power” running Canada.
Gilles Duceppe of the “Bloc” is an avowed Marxist/Communist. Lenin Jack Layton is a Socialist/Communist Commissar.
Commissar Payola Martini is the Red Puppet. The bribe/cash envelopes have the Librano logo in the top left corner. Corbeil showed the envelope at the Gomery Inquiry.
Mammon is the god of CommunistCanada.
Down with Nationl Socialism.
Long live freedom and democracy.
There is a great May Day post at Catallarchy

commemorating the evils of Communism.
Librano songbook I LOVE IT!
Sure to be a HIT!!
Mr. Bagman, bring us a scheme
Make the election a Liberal dream
Lots of lies and untraceable cash
Plenty of dimwits and Mexican hash
Mr Bagman, don’t forget us
We’re in big trouble the cops make a fuss
A place to hide is all that we need
We promise to cool it and lessen the greed
(deleted for brevity)
Mr. Bagman, bring us, please, please, please
Mr. Bagman, bring us a scheme
