For story telling nothing beats our own CBC. Neil MacDonald, speaking of the upcoming elections in Iraq, on The National last night ” the plan in Washington is to [develop] a client state of the U. S.”
Bloody nonsense, the plan is to have elections. What develops from those elections will be up to Iraqis and out of American control. The only effective way to have created a client state was to have some form of totalitarian government (which could dictate the kind of relationship Iraq would have with other states.)
After removing Hussein a country interested in establishing a client state would have installed a dictator and left. The U. S. did not do that, but instead has expended blood and treasure in an effort to give the Iraqis the opportunuty to establish a democracy.
With a democracy the situation will evolve according to the wishes of the Iraqi people in ways which are unpredictable and out of U.S. control.
So here we have not only stupid analysis from the CBC, paid by the taxpayers, but another smear of the Bush administration.
The plan at the CBC is to smear America every chance they get.

The real irony here is that Woody Harrelson has become rich, famous, and privileged beyond the dreams of most people by getting paid by corporations who sell their product (teevee, movies) en masse to the public. Did I say irony? I mean flaming hypocrisy……..
